Barbecue/ breakfast can be done right but this is not it... Eggs Benedict were super mediocre, sandy obnoxiously thick biscuits topped w obnoxiously dry and smoky ham, also the "hashbrowns" are wet and consist of cheese and an insane amount of sliced onions... Next up the "French Toast" which is banana bread, not sure how they could mess up so bad on such easy breakfast essentials but they did. On top of that they charged me about $30 for those two barely edible options. I'm telling you this place is a waste of money and time when here in Austin there are so many much better breakfast spots. Just go to Snooze, or Kirby Lane, or Magnolia Cafe for the love of god. Hopefully this place will go out of business in the next year or two so someone else can have the real estate and hopefully push out something more affordable and edible read more

We came in with a large group of 15 and the hostess of Pheobe's was more than accommodating us so we were able to split into two tables next to one another. One was seated slightly earlier which we we ok with. As soon as the other table sat down the waitress worked to catch them up to us in terms of service. Amber was amazing and so kind. She asked us what our occasion was and we explained we had a friend moving back to the UK. She immediately offered him a Pheobe's T-shirt to take home as a free souvenir. We added on items to our order and Amber handled it all with stride. The waitresses had such a snarky banter it made for an excellent experience. On top of that we all commented how the food was some of the best we have had, but the service really made the brunch for us. read more

Love this little diner and it's our breakfast go-to in south ATX. Attached to a gas station, someone saw the potential in this place and thank goodness they did. Good parking out front. Ahhhhdorable interior. Modern clean decor. And they just added a little patio out front. They're doing everything in-house here. And they're doing it right. We've been 5 or 6 times in the past 2 months. The space is fine - we like a table for two, and you sometimes get quasi-community seating - and the parking is, as noted by others, what it is. It's a great place for what we consider a "diner breakfast," and it's noting that we hail originally from the Northeast and Midwest. I like my bacon and eggs; my wife, her vegetarian options for eggs and (whatever). I don't like the hash brown casserole: I prefer home fries or true hash browns. The slab bacon is a hit and well-deserving of mention. It's steeply priced at $4 for a single strip of it as a side order. As for the service: it's a bit slow and coffee refills are hard to get. I hate asking a server other than our own to top us off, but that's the way it goes. I feel that many of the waitstaff are not experienced in a high-volume atmosphere like Phoebe's, and that's okay - but at north of $30 for a breakfast for two, they should be. In summary: great food, fun atmosphere, but it still feels like they're working out the kinks on the service. We'll be back, again and again, regardless. read more

I had the deep fried French toast and it was amazing. The food took an appropriate amount of time to come out, our server (David) was great and funny. They went above and beyond to accommodate our service animal to the point that they rearranged a table nearby so no one would step on him while he was sleeping.
