I don't normally write reviews but I could not ignore this one. Yesterday afternoon I ordered the house fried rice with egg to go. The dish was flavorless. There was no vegetables other than pieces of cabbage. No peas, carrots, corn. The shrimp had no flavor. Tasted like they sat in water too long. I had the same dish 2 weeks ago enjoyed it. It's a very quaint business, I highly recommend the orange chicken if you're someone that enjoys a fresher take on this timeless classic. If you get nothing else from this review, please get this: GIVE YOUR TASTEBUDS A TREAT AND GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY! Seriously. I would give 10 stars if I could. Primarily for the food and the service, both of which were exceptional. It's a very cozy, family run restaurant (I'm assuming because if the vibe). The gentleman that took our order was friendly and very patient in answering our questions about the menu. There were things we order that weren't on the menu such as deep fried pork belly and string beans. My family and I could be pretty creatively if good, but I tell ya, EVERYTHING WE ORDERED WAS GOOD! You could tell each dish was well though out and executed by someone that cares about what they serve. Not only that, but they were I'm decently sized portions. We were stuffed and had enough left over for another round. And the price was very reasonable. BUT, to top it all off the folks that served us were sweet, friendly and cared about how we liked the food. What a great experience. It was completely unexpected. The best Chinese we've ever had. The food was so fresh, amazing flavors. Very generous portions. After we finished eating we had enough for at least another meal for the two of us. We got orange chicken, fried pork belly, beef fried rice, and veggie egg rolls. If you want your food more or less spicy just let them know when you order. Super friendly staff. Amazing customer service. Comped my husband a boba Thai tea as we were getting ready to leave because he wanted to try it, and the owner said here give it a try and tell me what you think. Hubby said it was the best Thai tea he had had. The boba and tea is made here daily. (My bad for the not great food pictures I'm not a professional) The fried pork belly is a MUST try. read more

Dimsum and Har Gao are always freshly cooked, juicy and delicious. Its like melt in your mouth. Price is reasonable as well and it just here in Fontana! You dont really need to go elsewhere! Service definitely exceeded expectations here. There was plenty of very courteous and informative interaction and also anticipation of our needs. It's very small inside but they are doubling in size once the city gives them the green light on the space next door, which is great news. We enjoyed everything we ordered but the dish that knocked our socks off was the fried pork belly (not on the menu). The fried chicken wings were all flats (not my favorite). The Xiao long bao comes with 10 pieces for $10. The owner is receptive to menu suggestions and therefore, it's probably good to ask him if there's anything off the menu he has to offer or special items he recommends. This place is a hidden gem located right in front of Bowlero on the back side of foothill. My partner and I ordered the beef broccoli, the vegetable pan fried noodle, the sesame balls, egg rolls and a Vietnamese coffee. The beef from the beef broccoli was very tender, and the sesame balls and Vietnamese coffee were one of the best I've had. The sesame seeds were actually toasted, and the Vietnamese coffee had the perfect color to it! Not too milky, just like I like it. It was also a fairly large size. Additionally the staff and service was excellent. Very attentive and friendly people. The place was super clean, it smelled cleaned when walking in, even their condiment bottles and jars were clean! First time here and definitely not the last!! This place is AMAZING! We tried the salt & pepper calamari that was topped with jalapeños and crunchy garlic. Delicious! Highly recommend. The place itself is very small. It looks like they're expanding it. And the service was good. My review has nothing to do with the service- this is strictly regarding the FOOD. I reeeeally had high hopes for this place. Everything LOOKED and SMELLED great, but the actual flavor and quality of the food was not great at all. The shrimp in the shrimp fried rice was EXTREMELY smelly. I'm very aware that seafood with THAT much of an odor isn't good. The beef in the beef and broccoli had a "mystery meat" texture - it moved like jello; the texture grossed me out. The pan fried noodles had no flavor, the chicken in the orange chicken looked like they cooked the leftover scraps from a chicken (again, the texture was concerning). The shrimp har gaw wasn't bad but the shumai also had an overpowering shrimp odor and flavor. Overall, it was extremely disappointing and a huge waste of money. I'd rather drive out to places where the quality matches the price and I'm not wondering what kind of "meat" I'm possibly eating. read more

Everything I ordered was delicious! The staff were so friendly and helpful and service was quick. My favorite was the largely portioned and tasty shumai. I travel for work. Phu Chen Kitchen has the best Shao Mai EVER!!! (Never been to China) I can't find another place that's even close. Their chili oil is very good. I usually get house fried rice and they never disappoint. I had a job in Fontana for several months and this it's the place I miss most dearly. I drove 25 miles from Azuza, about a year later today.
