The fried rice was good but I'm more of a noodle person so I wish they had a few noodle options on the menu. The xiao long bao was very tasty and juicy but the shao mai was honestly the star! Well, we found our spot. It took a few years, but glad to say, good Chinese is back on the menu. We use to drive to LA, Glendora and Victorville and we didn't mind because Chinese is our favorite food and it was really good. All of sudden, all of them tanked and the food was horrible. We had Phu Chen for the first time today and we loved it. Got the house rice, house noodles and beef broccoli. Everything was spot on with the flavor and another plus, it's in Fontana; 10 minutes away. My wife is a fan of spicy food (not me) and she said the chili oil is perfect! We will be back! I have been looking for sesame balls in my area instead of driving to the 626 or Garden Grove. My boyfriend told me to check out this place because he ate here and it is close to the house. When we got there, it wasn't packed because they were closing soon, so the service was quick. It wasn't on the menu, but when I asked if they have them, they actually do. It does take time for them to make it because they make it fresh and let me tell you it was so worth the wait. When I got back home, they were cool enough to eat. And I know the pictures don't do them justice but trust me they are a really good sizeand it was delicious. I could only eat one, but if you save it and heat it up the next day in the over, they still taste like they just got made that day. Located in the center with Bowlero is Phu Chen Kitchen. Walking in the place is clean with a few tables for dine in and a larger open kitchen. Decor was simple. The gentleman at the counter were friendly and welcoming. I walked in and went to the counter to place my order. I already had in mind what I wanted based on another yelper, Net A. I went with the bbq pork buns, steamed dumplings, and two items not on the menu. The crispy pork belly and sesame balls. The gentleman who took my order said it would be a little wait since everything is made fresh to order which I appreciate. After a short wait, maybe 10 to 12 mins my food was ready and perfectly packed to go. The bbq pork buns were steamed perfect, light and fluffy with a good amount of filling. The pork belly was lightly coated with a tempura like batter and deep-fried until crispy. The sesame balls were tender on the inside, light and crispy on the outside. I think my favorite was the steamed dumplings. I'm only leaving them 4 stars for now until I have the opportunity to dine in and can review the entire dining experience as a whole. My husband and I tried Phu Chen last night. We have been trying to find a good Chinese take out place since we moved to the area, and found a gem in Phu Chen! We tried the orange chicken, beef broccoli, the steamed pork buns, and the white rice. Everything was super great and had a great flavor, and the value was super great too. My husband is an endless pit, and I am currently pregnant (iykyk) and even with both of our appetites, we still have plenty of left overs. The man who took our order was very nice and you can tell that this is a family owned and operated business which I love even more.
