I was happened to be in the area as my friend kept telling me about the big line at the grand opening of this place. I used to live in Vietnam, I was too familiar with this brand, and I think it was a smart move for them to open one in the US and right in the heart of the largest Vietnamese population city of Garden Grove, no wonder they got a big turnout because of the location they picked to open, it must have been the busiest spot as I had worked at the Costco across the street and all the shops around this place, I knew too well things will pickup. I came around 4 PM after my trip from LA heading back to SD, so it was the right time, no line, although I can tell people love hanging out here, they must have missed Vietnam a lot during the pandemics. I ordered my usual Peach Black Tea, unfortunately they're out of large cup, and also they're limited 6 drinks per person which I don't think I would need that much for myself. There's 2 things noted about this place, I asked for 15% sugar but they did 50 instead maybe they couldn't hear me clearly, also they never asked for the sweet level until I told them what I wanted, as for ice level, I asked for light but still I felt like about the same. Last but not least the liquid and ice level was unevenly put, minus a few slice of peaches, I took one sip and all the liquid has gone, that was for a regular size not even a large one, so I can confirm that everything will be exactly the same as the one I had tried in Vietnam in term of taste, make, and of course cutting corners, typical but at least I like their cleanliness compare to the location in Vietnam, I got to rub it on my friends faces who were fans of this brand, but for me nothing was to hyped up about this place, just another usual teashop, they might survive or they will be disappearing later as others experimented chains, wish them good luck read more

Having a chance to order a cup of tea is really pain in the neck due to a very unexpectedly long lines before 5pm. Once I got the chance to order the drink, it was super disappointed because of several different factors. Pricing is unreasonable, more expensive than the small cup of Starbuck, and the regular cup size is also smaller. On top of that, the taste is nothing special as advertised by lots of vietnamese people. I ordered the Lychee Jasmine and I found that it looks like a sweet iced tea with 1 slide of lemon and 4 pcs of canned (not even a fresh one) lychee....that's it. Nothing special. I was on the way to Phin Smith to grab a drink and saw this new place, so I decided to check it out. I got a regular coconut coffee (a blended drink). I chose this because I had Phin Smith's coconut coffee so I had to compare them. The cup is smaller than I expected for the overprice cost. The quality is there, good coffee. However, I can get the same price for a larger size coconut coffee from Phin with same quality. Trying to support businesses locally, so I went back again on a different week to try their tea: Phuc Long Milk Tea with boba (I got easy ice because no-ice is not filled up to cup; so might as well had a little ice to keep the drink cold). The quality of milk tea is great, but again for a small tiny cup the cost was around $6.50. I can get a large size elsewhere that is the same price or even cheaper. Really want to support small businesses, but I'm sorry this place is either too stingy or they just inflated everything. By the way, they do not serve tea-drink between 8am-11am (coffee only). I was near the area and decided to try this place. Seems like a cute place for people to either hang out. Had very cute decorations. I ordered the lychee green tea which was not overall sweet and so refreshing. The order was also completed quickly. We didnt have to wait long today, maybe 5,10 mins. Ordered their special Phuc Long milk tea and i gotta say its okay. They didnt have Large size cup available and no longer let you togo without ice. Probably from all the complaints of how little tea/coffee is in the cup without ice. The tea tasted okay for the first 2,3 sips but it gets watery very quickly. Maybe they added water so it would seems more tea? Then with the extra ice it become watery? Not sure what happened here. Decided to try this place out after dining at Louie's. Unfortunately very underwhelmed and disappointed on the workers knowledge of their menu and ingredients. Asked for a non-dairy popular drink....the workers seemed baffled like they didn't know of anything then finally, one of the workers suggested a blended matcha. After receiving the drink, and having a few sips I had to ask what type of milk was used. It looked creamy and just wanted to make sure....one of the workers said it's non-dairy BUT we use some condensed milk for sweetness......still no answer on what type of milk was used so only assuming it was all condensed milk. I am very disappointed about the quality of a drink. I bought oolong milk tea yesterday with no iced, but the cashier told me that only do less iced and I am ok with it. I got a half hot drink with a few iced and it's bitter of tea that I need to add more condensed milk to make it sweet. Waited for over 30mins to get the drink although there's no line. This is how they resolve many people complaining about filling 1/3 of the cup. I asked no ice on my order and they said that they gonna put a few ice cubes in the cup due to the hot weather to keep the best quality of the drink. We were so excited to try a new coffee place from Vietnam that we ordered even with all the bad reviews. We ordered the cafe Sua da with 50% ice. The prices are high while the coffee tasted and smelled burnt and they filled the cup only half way. I understand why they would fill the drink 1/2 way for a cafe sua da but it's honestly a waste of plastic and extremely overpriced when you consider the price you're paying to drink ratio. after hearing raving reviews about this location from friends who have had it in vietnam, i had to try it for myself. i got the lychee lotus green tea & i'd say it is really good! the lychee they give you in the drink tastes really fresh. my friends got the peach black tea, and i like that it comes w big pieces of peach. with that being said, i got less ice & the cup was not as full as i expected it to be, especially for the price you are paying for it. it is busy during the night, as it may be a good option if you want to sit & talk to friends. they also have outlets underneath the bench for charging! overall though, i'm not as impressed as i expected. read more

Lots of hype around this place in the Vietnamese community. My mother was disappointed by their Ca Phe Sua Da - she much prefers Phin Smith on the other side of the road. Their Milk Teas are pretty different - a combo of really dark black tea and condensed milk and lots of ice. Almost like a Ca Phe Sua Da but with tea instead. The one I received was overly sweet. After waiting for the ice to melt for a bit, honestly, the drink was pretty good. My main complaint though is, for the price, the size of the drink is quite small, which is only exacerbated by how much ice they put in your drink. But yes, some of my friends also received drinks from here, and the drinks here run on the sweeter side. The interior is well-designed, decorated with plants and some seating. It's much bigger inside than expected, but there is not too much table seating for studying. Drinks are good and come in their own style - it is worth trying. But I'm docking 2 stars due to how sweet the drinks can come (it wasn't just me in my family that thought this), and how little drink they actually give for the higher than average price. read more

I have been wanting to try this place for a while now and Phuc Long did not disappoint! There are plenty of parking in the back but as expected, the line was long. I really like the artwork and the overall ambiance inside as it is unique and has a 1980s Vietnamese interior design vibe to it. I ordered the Lychee Jasmine Lotus tea, the tea is strong, and the flavor was spot on. I am glad they still preserved the authentic flavor like they had in Viet Nam. Customer service here is wonderful and the staff would go above and beyond to make sure that you satisfied with your drink despite how busy they were. I ordered 2 of their popular drinks: 2x peach black tea and 2x black milk tea, all with 50% sugar. 1/2 of my order is with No Ice; and the cashier let me know that they only fill up to 1/2 of the cup. Good quality tea but depend on what you order. I had a chance to swing by without long line around 6:30pm and was able to get in and out within 20 mins. Yes, this place used canned fruits and their syrup added to your tea for flavor and sweetness. Ordered peach black tea and lotus tea both at 50% less sweet and it still is a tad too sweet. The peach black tea to me was alright not thing over the top. The tea fragrance was good but the canned syrup quickly overwhelm the tea aroma and making it too sweet that I had to let the ice melt and refrigerate to drink it the next day. As for their lotus green tea, this order was very refreshing and you can smell and taste the tea quality in a cup. It wasn't as sweet as the peach black tea and is on the lighter tea taste bud. If I were to come back, I'll just buy their tea products and bring it home to create my own fruit tea version lol. read more

I saw many people complained about half a cup liquid with no ice. I drink so many milk tea cups in different stores. When I ask for no ice in other stores, the liquid is nearly full. When I ask for no ice in PL, I surprise too. Half a cup? But, a full cup of milk tea with no ice in other stores was blended with much water than you think. Try taking a sip with no ice between PL and other stores, and you'll obviously taste the difference. PL milk tea is more concentrated and strong that I have to wait about 5 minutes for the ice cube melted. After all, worth the money. On the other hand, Matcha Latte is what I fall in love with. Amazing!!! Service fast & Friendly!!! I'm a fan of Coffee & Tea because I love caffeine in there. When I was tried their Blended with coffee before, it's so tasty. But if you guys can't drink coffee, I think they also have Blended without coffee, and you can try it. This time I came, I tried their Phúc Long milk tea and Logan Lotus Tea. It surprised me because their tea is very strong included in their milk tea, and it's tasty. Suppose you don't like sweets so that you can change the sugar level. So I recommend you try their fruit lotus tea one time when you come over (make sure every drink you mixed it up). But if you buy the fruit tea, have a lemon slice in there to keep it overnight, so I highly recommend you before you save your drink cold. You can try to mix it up first and take out the lemon slice. So when you keep your drink in the fridge, it wouldn't make your glass has a bitter taste from the lemon. Also, when I come to Phúc Long's, their line does not take long time. It was faster.
