Great Viet-Korean restaurant in Hackensack neighborhood. It's right next to Anderson St. Station. You can enjoy trains passing by while eating. We went on Christmas Day. Really appreciated that they were open. Menu on the wall (the only physical menu). You can put in order by the kiosk or with the staff. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good came out quick. Couple tables inside. It has a wall for photo op. I love my brisket pho. Hot and flavorful. The lemon made the aroma come out even more. Brisket is thin and melt in your mouth. Spring rolls are crispy. But it's smaller portion. Solid spot for comfort food and quick meal.

Pretty yummy pho spot; the brisket was tender and plentiful and the broth was refreshing. My husband ordered the spicy pho and wasn't a fan of the spice, it wasn't a sweet spice or spicy spice-- just red. The tteoboki was pretty good; could be spicier. The peach tea drink was refreshing however could be less sour. The place got potential to improve some dishes.

We came here for lunch and left unsatisfied. I was craving some pho and saw this new place with cool signage. You enter a relatively small restaurant but it has a cool green wall. The service was quick and pretty helpful. I got the spicy chicken pho without any additional vegetables. They said it's a too small to share. But I would disagree. We also got the chicken, spinach and vegetable dumplings. I couldn't really taste a difference between any of them. They were small and extra crispy. Back to the pho. It was very spicy and extra messy. The chili oil was all over our chins by the end of the meal. They use dark meat chicken but it's really big pieces and too chewy. The noodles are plentiful.

Best PHO ! Phuhroo tops my list. The food was phenomenal , fresh, hot, spicy (optional) and delicious tasting Pho. The ingredients were top class and the taste took me right back to Singapore/hanoi. It's clean and very well maintained. Service excellent. We had questions and were helped . Menu is very big we tried spicy pho with dumplings and tofu. It was the best. I am gonna be back to try banh mi.

Went to Phuroo yesterday after work. I've been here once before and thought it was just okay, but my usual spot closes between 4-5, so I gave them another shot. Big mistake. The broth was completely bland, no depth of flavor at all. I ordered the brisket with beef broth and the brisket literally looked like Steak-um meat--super thin and unappetizing. The only good thing I can say is that the Spanish lady at the register was very nice and the service was quick. Other than that, I will not be coming back.

Went to Phuhroo for a late dinner on a weeknight. Surprisingly, they are only open from 5pm to 3am daily. It's a small restaurant, with a few tables and minimal decor. It is clean though. We placed our orders at the register, sat ourselves, and waited. We waited a bit longer than i expected, but it was worth it. We ordered a spicy pho and a regular pho with a side of Cajun fries. The broth was surprisingly good, and the pho contained all of the correct ingredients. Prices were average for the area. I like that the spot is open late. Would definitely try again.

One of my favorite pho places!! I also truly appreciate the late hours too because sometimes you just need a late night meal/snack!! My absolute favorites are their beef pho with brisket, kimchi bulgogi fries, and fried cod banh mi. Those items never disappoint! Street parking only. Interior is small, but clean and they recently updated the menu and interior (much brighter inside now). Mostly a self-serve, casual place. Usually only one person taking orders in the front.

3.6 stars rounded up to 4. This is not an authentic Vietnamese food location but rather a fusion. I was surprised by all the positive reviews. Service was nice but minimal, seating area was generally clean and bright, bathroom was generally clean but old. Pho broth was passable, the beef was nice but the ingredients were not Vietnamese style. The banh mi meat was flavorful but the bread was either old or generally not nice. Plus the food was way too oily. We will not be back.

I'm really happy that there's a Korean x Vietnamese late night eatery in Hackensack. They're open from 5pm-3am every single day! Street parking available with limited tables inside. My reason for a 3 star rating is because my last two visits were inconsistent with the quality of the food. Their menu is small and basically consists of pho, rice bowls, banh mi sandwiches, and appetizers. The prices are a bit higher for a "fast food/fast casual" eatery, but what else is new. On both visits I ordered the bulgogi banh mi sandwich ($16) and handmade beef dumplings ($9). The banh mi was SO GOOD the first time. It came with bulgogi, avocado, two eggs, pickled veggies, cilantro, mint, and spicy mayo. Flavor wise, it was sweet and sour from the pickled veggies, salty from the marinated bulgogi, and the bread was perfectly crispy. The second time around, it wasn't nearly as good.... The flavors didn't quite hit and I got a skimpy portion of meat. The handmade dumplings are just okay... I doubt that they're handmade because they taste like the frozen ones you can get at the supermarket. They tasted better the second visit than the first. My +1 got the pho ($11) and he enjoyed it but thought the broth was too spicy for him. You're able to adjust the spice level though. I've also tried the fruit tea ($7) and oh my gosh it was almost undrinkable. It was WAY TOO SOUR. I wish they were more consistent with the food quality because I really like the fusion menu concept AND it's open late at night. I would still come back to try different menu items, and hopefully they'll be better.

Phuhroo in Hackensack, NJ, offers a nice mix of Asian flavors in a modern, cozy atmosphere. I really enjoyed their pho, Bahn mi, and dumplings; both were well-prepared and flavorful. However, I did find the prices a bit high for the area. If you're looking for a unique dining experience, it's worth a visit.

I was way overdo for some pho and banh mi and decided to try this place out. Ordered directly from their website, and it was delivered via Uber eats. It arrived pretty quickly and the temp was just right. The pho was very fragrant and had a flavorful broth. The meat was tender, and there were plenty of noodles and all the standard toppings. Portion was pretty big and filling. It came with a packet of hoisin and sriracha to add to your liking (I added the whole packet of sriracha and made it almost too spicy for me but cleared out my nostrils!). I tried a few bites of the bulgogi banh mi - not traditional Vietnamese but a solid sandwich with nice bread and flavorful fillings. The fried pork dumplings were a nice starter and still crispy on arrival. I enjoyed the Vietnamese Korean take of the menu. Overall, a solid meal - would order again.

You order at the front and pick up your food when it's ready. It's actually a really convenient system, and since there is no table service, there's no expectation to leave a gratuity. The food itself is consistently good. The parking lot is very, very small and shared with the cafe next door, so parking can be a squeeze. Because it's so popular, it gets very busy during prime dining hours. Even when I've ordered takeout, there can sometimes be a decent wait to get your food so I recommend order online or over the phone ahead. They do charge a little extra if you pay with a credit card to cover the fees. If you visit during the summer months, you absolutely have to try the Naeng Myeon (cold noodle soup) or the Bibim Naeng Myeon (spicy cold noodles). It's actually quite a large serving for a decent price. I do think the side dishes could be better, there are only two varieties they serve: Kimchi, Kimchi Horseradish, and Beansprouts. Environment: Newly renovated building gives it a sleek, modern look. It's very nice, seats are fine. Only issue is they had flies here and there that will go after the food. So please be prepared to be on the lookout. It's the primary reason we docked a point. The line was out the door so maybe they came from outside?
