I take the train right in front of this restaurant and today I decided to give it a try and place a delivery order and I am so happy I did because the food was AMAZING! I ordered the Dumpling Sampler and they are there small dumplings that they fry to perfection cause they are not oily at all yet you feel the crispiness you only get when you fry. They were amazing, very tasty and the Ginger Soy Sauce included was amazing too. On the Dumpling Sampler they let you choose, I got Beef, Chicken, and Pork and they were all delicious. I also ordered the Galbi Mam-Ma (Marinated beed short ribs) with the white rice and chopped romain. The ribs were delicious, sticky and the sauce had the perfect balance of salt and sweet. That sauce dripped on the white rice and wow, made that white rice amazing! I cannot wait to try other options on their menu! Highly recommend it! read more

Really more like a 4.5 stars to me. You really gotta be something special for me to give you a 5 star. I had the pork dumplings mixed with the sweet n sour sauce. Came in a 6 piece. They were very good. Wish i hadn't gotten them mixed with the sauce because it took away from the crunchiness. I'll keep that in mind for next time i order. For entree i got the bulgogi beef Mam-ma, which is basically a rice bowl topped with your meat(or vegetables) of choice with an egg. It has a standard and spicy option. I stuck to the standard one. The mam-ma was also very good. Flavorful and fresh. I have no complaints whatsoever about the food. Was a bit on the pricier side in my opinion ($30 for dumplings and a mam-ma) but what can ya do, that's the world we live in today. Man at the register was friendly and helpful so the service was also good. As for ambiance, it is just a small restaurant with a few tables, nothing crazy. More of a take out spot for me. With all that said, I will def be back to try some other things on the menu. read more

First time to eat there tonight. We ordered pho $10 and beef topping extra $4. We also got the chicken dumpling (gyoza) and owner nice enough to give us free beef dumpling! Soup is tastier than other pho places I have been to. All in al nice place that is open late. We called at 9pm to see if there are open and owner said up to 12am kitchen is open. I ordered non spicy but they put some jalapeño in the soup that is why I only gave 4 stars. read more

A small hole in the wall spot by the Hackensack train station with soul warming food, great for a cold evening.

We found this place while looking for pho after shopping around the area. We thoroughly enjoyed not only the pho, but also the dumplings and the kortacos! What a great find. The bulgogi banh mi sandwich is awesome. I had the sandwich snd soup combo--the soup was good, not great but it had plenty of noodles and a light broth. I also was offered complimentary dumplings as I waited for my lunch and those were AMAZING! There are a handful of tables so it seems more like a takeout spot. Owners must've been busy, came in waited 20 minutes and wasn't helped. I just walked out. The prices are a bit steep for the area. I can go down the street and get two meals for the price of one meal here. Kinda sad, really wanted to try the place but I'm not waiting more than 20 minutes in an empty restaurant. read more

I've visited this place twice already after work. First of all I love the fact that this place stays open until 3am, I work really late some nights so it's so amazing that I can get a bite to eat quick after work. Let me tell you that I absolutely love this place. I've been telling all my co workers about this place since the first time I went. The first time I had got the Mama bulgogi w rice that was so good and very filling. The portions size for the meals are really big and sharable which is also really good. I also got the mango oolong tea lemonade, and let me tell you I almost cried as to how good and refreshing that drink is. It has real mango fruit pieces and fresh squeezed lemons, they also had a peach lemonade as well but my opinion the mango is better lol really good for a hot summer day. The second time I went I got the tortilla ssam bulgogi meat. It comes with only two tacos but they are really big so it's filling. They give you a green sauce for dipping very good as well with a lil sweetness and spice. The gentleman at the front desk was also very very friendly and helped my friend out with suggestions on her meal. He also gave us some shrimp dumplings to try and those are very good as well. Over all this is a very good hot spot to grab some food with some friends. They are also dine in as well. They place is a bit small but very quaint but you also feel at home. Next time I go I will be trying there ramen noodle soup. read more

My husband and I just had the Beef Pho, Fried Dumplings, Spicy Pork Tortilla Ssam and Peach Fruit Tea. Wow!! We gulped everything down so fast! Everything was so tasty. My favorite was the Spicy Pork Tortilla Ssam which was very flavorful and went well with the pickled veggies. The Pho was tasty with a generous portion. My husband got the spicy one that was just right with the hot oil. The dumplings were fried to perfect crisp! The Peach Tea had yummy fruit pieces and refreshing! I definitely recommend this place! We go at least twice to a place to be sure, but this did not disappoint, actually went 3 times, bringing our friend the third time and we tried different dishes to what we previously had. Found our go-to Vietnamese restaurant. Spicy pork tortilla a hit. Pho great too. Our friend is a kimchi fan and liked it a lot. Veggie dumplings superb. Wow! What an amazing experience at Phuhroo! The restaurant is really charming!!! From the hand drawn menu (drawn by the chef's daughter!) to the vibey playlist, it's a great spot for a casual date, a hang, or a family meal! It's clear the chef is proud of their food, everything was beautifully prepared! We had the pho - super fresh, beautifully cooked chicken in large plump pieces which shredded up so nicely, in a rich vegetal broth with crisp bean sprouts, bright jalapeño, and cilantro -- chefs kiss! The bulgogi fries -- another star dish!! The beef was so flavorful and their fryer is ON POINT! Crisp, not at all greasy, perfect perfect fries. The fried dumplings were also delicious and they let you mix and match the dumplings in the order. The peach drink was superb, bright fresh and nice fresh lime there too -- a must try! It does have pieces of peach and is served with a wide boba-style straw. We were also impressed with the clean air filter, and the filtered hot and cold water, it may sound like a small touch but it was so nice to see the care and attention. We will be back and plan to work this into our regular rotation!! read more
