    Steak and egg tacos
    David S.

Far exceeded expectations from the average looking empty hotel dining room. Salmon dinner was perfect, charred and citrusy over a rich risotto. Break steak tacos were THE BEST EVER! mini flour tortillas and juicy steak with guacamole. Omg. Chef Primo just won my best of Scottsdale award. Front desk and servers all made a memorable experience for a guy traveling alone on Easter. Thank you.

We came here for lunch on a Friday. It was easy to locate walking through the hotel lobby where it overlooked a manmade lagoon. The minute we walked in, we were greeted by a lovely waitress who was very attentive to us as we were the only ones dining in. We chose to sit on the patio which had a nice view of the surrounding buildings, and we got to listen to all of the different birds in the area. Our favorite thing about this place was our waitress who was incredibly honest to us about the food. We asked her for recommendations and if our choices were good ones which she quickly helped redirect some of us to other things that she said were more popular or had more meat. My boyfriend specifically asked about the beef chimichangas because he wanted "all the meat" to which she responded that it was mostly filled with beans and was better off going with his other choice being the cubano. The worst part of this place was that despite the five of us coming in and with just one other table coming in and just ordering drinks, we waited almost thirty minutes for our order. We all ordered different things from the southwest chicken salad, a grilled chicken ciabatta, the cubano, a burger, and the nachos. We were all starving by the time our food had come out but were grateful that our waitress was extremely attentive to us and kept checking in. The other great thing that we appreciated about her was that she comped an order of the chimichangas because she wanted to prove to us that she wasn't wrong or making up how bad the chimichangas were when it came to meat filling. Other than the long wait and the somewhat mediocre lunch, our waitress really made this a nice experience, and we appreciated her so much!

Very nice staff with great view. Drinks from the bar were nice and strong. I had the Caesar salad with salmon with was very good. There are bald eagles that you can see on the trees from the outdoor patio. Amazing.

What an amazing place! My husband and I had a very nice dinner with a view of the lake. First we were disappointed because the menu on their website didn't match what they actually had at the restaurant. However, we still had a vert pleasant experience. The food was delicious and the service was good. We will be back next time we are in town.

Living in McCormick Ranch has allowed us to find some hidden treasures. The Pinion Grill in the McCormick is a nice place to enjoy some of Scottsdale scenery. The patio has done of the must beautiful vistas overlooking the lake at McCormick Golf Club. The only negative is the lack of a happy hour. Homero event manager and Antonio the bartender filled us in on the event scene at the hotel and in the neighborhood. Come at sunset. After my review Homero brought out a sample of the lettuce wraps. Awesome! Thanks!

    Beautiful romantic patio dining.

Looking for a romantic dining experience with below average food? Here it is. We were excited to try this place because we'd heard about the patio seating overlooking a lake, romantic lighting, and even an outdoor fire pit. But as we were being seated, we noticed the restaurant was almost empty. Not a good sign. It took a while for a server to approach our table. When we asked to see the prix fixe menu, he seemed annoyed. We decided against ordering from the prix fixe menu anyway, because it was solely Irish food designed to commemorate St. Patrick's Day, even though we were there a week or so after the holiday. It took another long while to actually place our food order. I also asked for an ice tea refill, which never came. This is not the kind of service you'd expect for a "fine dining" experience. As for the food, after our salad course, we were presented with a complimentary amuse bouche which was a little bit of olive oil, cheese, and a cherry tomato, served stylishly in a shot glass (see pic). This seemed like a promising way to start our meal. My husband had the filet and he said it was good. I had the pork chop and it was awful. Most of it was grizzled fat, and when I could find a pocket of lean meat, it was dry and flavorless. I'm usually not one to complain, but the meat was so tough, I had difficulty cutting it, even with a big steak knife. I should have returned it, but I didn't want to make a scene in such a beautiful environment. I regret that decision. Yes, the patio setting is lovely, but given the poor service and sub-standard food, we won't be returning

The restaurant was awesome experience. Food and service was superb. The lake side view with fire pit was to die for. I loved it

Chicken Quesadilla, Creme Bruless, Arcioch (sp) Scallops

This place is really trying to be upscale, but it's not. To me an upscale place is where you can't afford to bring your little brats. First, the good. The staff was friendly and prompt. Refills kept on coming. I ate here for 6 meals over my 2 day stay at the resort and I never ordered the same dish twice just so I could try a variety. Here is a rundown of what I ate and the quality: -Chicken Quesadilla: So soggy it was falling apart, inedible -Arcioech (sp) Scallops: It's Arizona, there are no fresh scallops. They were overcooked and the seared spices were a soggy mess. The potatoes and Dijon dressing were great though. -Eggs Benedict: Very good, cooked perfectly. They do it a little different and give you smoked salmon instead of canadian bacon. Not a bad change but they were a little cheap on the quantity of salmon. -Matador Hamburger: Fantastic burger and they will cook it rare. If you order one well done, you shouldn't be allowed to review any red meat. -Center Cut Filet: Obviously not a prime cut. Perfectly cooked and seared. Veggies were also well seasoned and not overcooked. Good choice. -Salmon: Great seasoning, slightly overcooked and bizarre sauce with the consistency of pudding under the garnish. The sauce added nothing to the fish. -Creme Brulee: Very nicely done, maybe a little too much heat on the sugar, but still delish! -Caprese Salad: Tomatoes were flavorless and old (dried out appearance). Mozzarella was obviously a Costco purchase (not bad though). If I wasn't eating here for free, I would balk at it just for the prices let alone the mixed quality of the food. No hot waitresses here, but the server staff was great.

We were told by the manager Gary Mlinarich we couldn't use the Groupon we bought because 'it wasn't printed' even though the terms say you can show the voucher from the mobile app. He was very rude to us and was heard mumbling rude things out loud as he walked away from our table. We will never go back.

My cousin had been here before and mentioned the food and drinks were solid, so we had to check it out! The space is a cool mix of industrial-chic with a massive wine wall, a great patio, and a stage for live music. They also have a ton of TVs inside and outside if you come to watch a game. We were seated after a short wait, and took a few minutes decide on our choices-even though the #YEShusband and I had already been checking out the menu on our way over. Our waitress, Reese, was super friendly and her recommendations reinforced our ordering decisions. She even gave us a few suggestions we will have to try on our next visit! Here's a recap of what we ordered: - ROSÉ 75 (Hangar 1 Rosé Vodka, Kronan Swedish Punsch, strawberry & lime juices, Lunetta prosecco): Incredibly refreshing with a nice little buzz. Perfect for a sunny afternoon. - SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP (house made spinach & artichoke dip topped with parmesan & mozzarella cheese. Served with chips & garlic toast): This was so yummy; and was good to share between four people! The top of the dip was perfectly golden, and I liked that it didn't taste as heavy as some other cheesy dips. - HOUSE MADE SOUTHWEST EGG ROLLS (chipotle chicken, black beans, pico de gallo, cheddar jack cheese, chipotle ranch): Another hit! The filling was flavorful, and the egg roll wrapping itself was perfectly cooked. I appreciated that these were house made and didn't feel like something that was previously frozen. - HONEY HOT CHICKEN SANDWICH (buttermilk fried chicken breast, honey hot sauce, pickles, pepperjack, coleslaw, served on sesame seed bun with fries): I've tried a ton of chicken sandwiches thanks to my husband, and this one really stood out! We added bacon (pro move!), which elevated an already delicious sandwich. I particularly enjoyed the hot honey sauce which was on the buttery side, and didn't overwhelm the rest of the flavors. The fries were also crispy and had a good flavor. - STEAK BITES (beef tenderloin tips with balsamic reduction & micro greens served over flat fries): My cousin ordered this, and seemed to generally enjoy the steak, but wasn't feeling the flat fries. She said it was good, but she likely wouldn't order again. Overall everything was really solid, service was good, and the atmosphere was chill. Highly recommend this as a post-game stop or for an outing with friends or family. Looking forward to coming back soon!

So good we ate here three times in 5 days just to have the appetizer again and again. They were even gracious enough to host the entire baseball team and parents on less than an hours notice. I think there were at least 40 of us and the kids ran around like crazy people and NO one ever said a thing. Great food, great setting and feel and I believe everyone had a great time.
