After six years staying in the area we missed in this spot. Located in beautiful Danville and has plenty of seating area ., a wrap around verandah and open tall ceilings with open kitchen is a good modern and classic mix. We enjoyed the Sauvignon blanc and espresso martini. The starter warm bread with herbed olive oil was perfect with the wine. We ordered mushroom soup to be shared between two and it was delicious. Chicken piccata and prawn Chittara were freshly made and one of the bests we have had so far. Our server Roberto was very polite and the service was very quick. Definitely we will try dinner here with whole family. There is plenty of parking outside.

Piatti, nestled in the corner of a strip mall off Sycamore Valley Rd, is fairly decent. The service is a tad lackluster, though that could've been a consequence of the table's placement as it was stowed away in the corner. Overall, the food is pretty good. The bread is outstanding, akin to a baguette with its crusty outside and plush interior. I wonder if they bake it fresh in house, what with the bread arriving steaming and hot to the touch. The oil that accompanies it is spectacular too, perfectly acidic with the balsamic vinegar contrasted by the acrid olive oil. All entrees are delicious though not the best in show by any means. For a casual restaurant though, the libations have no business being that delicious. I had an old fashioned, something of a go-to as of late. Leaves nothing to be desired. Truly just an archetype old fashioned, a symphony of bitters and whiskey. Dessert at the end was tiramisu, which was a good tiramisu. Such is expected at an Italian spot though.

I'm surprised I've not reviewed this place before. This restaurant is so nice looking & rustic from the outside. Inside, clean, well lit & spacious. Everyone on their staff seems positive, nice, efficient & helpful! Everyone! We met my parents here for happy hour. So fun! The guys liked the one & only beer on their limited happy hour menu. Which also includes 3 other drinks with alcohol. We tried their: French fries 5+stars; Calamari 5 stars & bruschetta(too small, but) 5 stars; meatballs & pizza 3 stars. So now we know You need to sit in the bar area, counter or bar tables to order from their happy hour menu. The bar area was not overly crowded, but 80% full the entire time. If they had a couple more drinks on that happy hour menu, it'd be rocking I think.

5/5 Amazing restaurant!!! Made a reservation here for my birthday and got seated at a two seater for my mom and I. The host was very friendly with us throughout the night and you even get a special birthday card for your birthday! Makes you feel special haha. We came around 5pm on Friday and it's packed! Make sure to make a reservation or you might not even get seated. We ordered the margarita pizza, meatball, and shrimp pasta. Pizza: It's ok, my mom really liked it, but personally the dough was a bit too flimsy and not too my liking. I still enjoyed it though! 3/5 Meatballs: Two big sized meatballs in a hot skillet with sauce. Honestly, what sold me was the sauce more than the meatball. It tastes like vodka sauce but I think they added crack! I would enjoy a dish here if it was pasta with the sauce. 5/5 Shrimp pasta: The noodles are hand made here and I can definitely tell as it's very authentic and the texture is great! The sauce is very yummy as well but it had too much of a shrimp/prawn flavor for me. However, my mom absolutely loved this dish. 4/5 Bread: the bread here isn't free, but it's 100% worth it. I think it's the balsamic vinegar sauce + olive oil sauce that really makes it special too. They added garlic and seasoning and parsley(?) but I ended up eating all of the sauce!!! Do not skip! 5/5 The ambience is great as it's cozy but the restaurant is big. The servers check up on you and are attentive as well. And again, the hostess was so nice to us! I would definitely come here again for a special event :)

Came to dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday, and the place was packed. Despite the crowd, service was very good with our waiter making sure he took our order promptly, food was prepared as requested, and that our drinks and waters were filled. We all enjoyed our dinner. Highlights included the pugliese bread with piatti dipping oil, the rigatoni bolognese, and diavola pizza which were all recommended by our waiter.

Really good steak, pasta, and good portions as well. We sat outside where the ambiance was a little more pleasing than their indoor diner.

Meat balls and Calimari. The manager is Heather and she is wonderful!

Happy hour was amazing. 3 to 6. Great selection of appetizers and the Meat balls are amazing! The best I. The Bay Area. The signature is the warm sour dough and olive oils with garlic for dipping! I love this place. Lots of parking and first class service. Best margarita too. Cadillac. Yum!

The food was amazing. Pasta dishes are delicious as well as the chicken panini for lunch. Salads are great, enjoyed the beets and arugula. Service was spectacular most acknowledgment is to the amazing first impression made by the person who greets. She was very welcoming and made the initial experience delightful. Our server did a great job as well. Not to pleased with the bartender he did not make it a comfortable experience to the point where I chose not to order anything from the bar. Ambiance was beautiful inside and out.

May I please hv a copy of Mother's Day brunch?

Hi Carol, I'd be happy to send you a copy of our Mother's Day menu. Please email me directly at…

Do you. have a Mother's Day menu?

Yes we have a special menu. I am happy to send it to you.

    Is there a happy hour?

    No.

    Are there any vegan options?

Several and they can easily modify the menu.

Do they substitute whole wheat pasta?

Do you have gluten free menu?

    Yes. With many Options!

Can they accommodate 16 people ? Like is there a private room

Yes they can. I had a group of 15 but I would call in advance for a reservation. I believe they do have a private room but that's booked in advance and you have to spend a minimum amount.

Is there a brunch service available on the weekend?

I don't believe so, but they do have some options only available before 3pm. They also have great food and drink!

How many servings are the family style meals?

They are technically listed as four, but I find that they are very very very generous! A hungry family of 6 could easily be fed and happy from one family style meal.…

    What is corkage fee?

If i remember correctly they charge somewhere between 15 to 20 per bottle for corkage. They often waive the corkage fees for us and sometimes we share some wine with the servers.

Are there any non dairy options?

Hmm, might be a little limited but I imagine you can ask. Cross check the menu.

Do you have a kids dinner menu? Thanks

Yes....they can build their own pizzas at the table. Other dishes available as well.

Do they have a tv in the bar area? Thank you for the answer

    Yes!

Do they serve cheese wheel pasta?

Last time I was there it was not on the menu. But they have daily specials so you never know

Can I buy just the bread?

Does not hurt to ask them.

I had hoped that what I read from a 1-star Yelp review about having reservations, then finding out…read morethis restaurant is closed, was only a rare occasion. I did not even think to alert my friends about what I read because I thought after reading other Yelp reviews and looking up their Instagram posts with beautiful photos and people looking like they were enjoying this restaurant, that what was described in that 1-star review must have been a rare occurrence. Boy was I wrong because to my dismay when we arrived at their restaurant door last evening, it happened to us and I did not want to believe it, but all the evidence was there to show they were in fact, CLOSED. Two other customers and our group arrived at the same time in advance of our 6pm reservation time, only to see their door closed, lights off, with nobody inside. We were confused not only because we did not receive a message notifying us that their restaurant would be closed and our reservation needed to be canceled, but also because the customers who arrived when we did said they had booked their reservation yesterday, meaning the reservation system was still active. What's more is we did not see any signage on their door or windows about being closed, but instead we saw an EBMUD notice on the door stating water service payment was overdue, which we were not expecting to see upon our arrival. Our group needed to quickly figure out a plan B for our birthday celebration dinner, as our friend had planned and reserved The Library Social Club over a month ago. I dine at many restaurants and any time there needs to be a change or cancelation for any reason by a restaurant business, I have received an e-mail, a text, or a phone call alert, as a customer courtesy call, and I have at the very least, even seen hand written notes on restaurant doors and windows as signage alerting customers of their business being closed. Needless to say, we were disappointed and frustrated by this incident today. We drove from out of town to try this restaurant that was not even open when customers had reservations. Fortunately, our friend proposed a different restaurant that we could walk to and they sat us promptly upon arrival. We enjoyed their delicious food instead!

I was the first to walk in around 4ish in the afternoon (they have happy hour!) and I was offered a seat and water quickly. I decided to order the smoked salmon crudo and the gentleman (I think one of the owners?) gave me some pairing suggestions. While that was getting prepared in the kitchen, he offered me a tasting of another white wine on the house, which was so kind! In the picture below... it's most drunk haha but it was a nice amount to taste and sip on. That smoked salmon crudo is SO GOOD. The citrus adds a nice brightness, and I think there was a hint of honey used in the vinaigrette. I was pleasantly surprised and it's easily the best smoked salmon dish I've had in a while! The wine was excellent as well. I was only in for about an hour, maybe an hour and a half before I moved on, but I got to hear regulars come in and greet the owner like old friends. There's a really cool vibe here, with great music and decor, so I really wished I lived closer to visit more often! As I was leaving, I did chat with the gentleman again (complimented him/the wine bar) and he said he hoped that I would come again as he is trying to work with his partners to add more to the menu (the regulars that came in were asking after the gumbo and the brunch, which they were not serving at the time). I definitely hope to visit again and try those other menu items!

Service was good  The Valentines prix consisted of an app, entree, and dessert, some of which are not on their regular menu!!  -bread and marinara (4/5): bread was great, thick slices and nice crust. Marinara was standard -potato-leek puree (4/5): came in a cute little cup to drink out of, good flavor -gamberoni (5/5): prawns were a good size and perfectly grilled. The sauce was a good addition -polette (4/5): meatballs were juicy and the pesto was flavorful and creamy. Interesting thing to have as an appetizer though -fettuccini carne (5/5): I always have an internal struggle about getting a red sauce or a cream sauce, so this was the perfect option as a creamy red sauce pasta. Serving size was good, and there was also plenty of meat and mushrooms, which I loved! Flavor was great! -lamp chop (4/5): good grilled flavor, but one was slightly too raw for our liking so we had to send it back to the kitchen to cook it some more. Our waitress was very understanding though! The mashed potatoes and veggies were also good. -tiramisu (3.5/5): good flavor, but there was wayyy more cream than ladyfinger, so the textural balance was off. Loved how thick the whipped cream was, but didn't taste as much peanut butter as I would've liked Overall, I had a great experience for their valentines day prix menu. Being a paella newbie, I definitely looked forward to tasting a version especially after watching cooking shows over the years. The saffron broth rice nicely counterbalanced the seasoned shrimp, sausage and other ingredients. Thumbs up. I had several portions. The tempura cauliflower - good. KR Enchiladas were cheesey and rich, plumply filled, and the accompanied rice accented with corn. Since we shared the three enchiladas, my small piece was enough for me. Suggest passing on the sourdough side that came with the paella. The bread had melted, but cooled cheese on it and there was not much free broth in the paella to soak therewith anyway. With water being the group's primary beverage, perhaps request a carafe of water at the table to ease the thirstier folks (me). Our wait person gave helpful suggestions and efficient service. We really enjoy Main St. in Pleasanton and hadn't tried Elia yet so we decided to make a reservation and come here on a Monday evening. This restaurant is gorgeous! For our mains, we had the King Salmon, served over a corn and bean succotash and topped with pesto sauce; the juicy Cider Brined Duroc Pork Chop, served with spinach and potato gratin; the Wagyu Beef Burger, served on a challah bun; and my favorite, the Duck Confit, a crispy and tender leg of duck, served over Parmesan polenta and Swiss chard. Overall, every plate we ordered was beautifully composed and delicious in its own way! The prices were certainly high, but the quality and execution of the food were worth it, and the service was super friendly too.
