The demeanor of both our server and the owner was noticeably cold and unwelcoming throughout our visit. We were simply there to order food to go and expected the same basic courtesy and respect that any paying customer should receive. What really stood out to me was what happened when I was paying. As I was handing over my credit card, the owner snatched the card out of my hand, and then also snatched the charge slip from my hand. I found the manner in which this was done extremely rude, unnecessary, and disrespectful. As a Black customer, I have unfortunately experienced situations where I have questioned whether the treatment I received was influenced by my race. I cannot say for certain what motivated the behavior we experienced at Golden Palace, but I can say that the way we were treated left us feeling uncomfortable, unwelcome, and disrespected. We don't expect special treatment. We expect basic courtesy, professionalism, and respect when we spend our hard-earned money at a business. I am sharing this review because customer service matters. No customer should leave a restaurant feeling like their presence was an inconvenience. Based on this experience, we will not be returning. .

I called in a phone order for an Asian Chicken salad at Norwalk location. I picked up my salad and drove back to work to enjoy my salad. There was no salad dressing. Who the F--- eats a salad without dressing. I get 30 minutes for lunch and driving back there was NOT an option for me. I called the store and the employee says " oh it must have been forgotten". People hear can't get your order right here. Just stop for lunch and order the Curry Chicken with Brown Rice, got Curry Chicken with Noodles. It was very clean and nice inside, but it was COLD! Uncomfortably cold to the point where it felt like your food would get cold almost as soon as it hit the table. What made me give this experience 5 stars, though, was the way everything was handled. At first, they were going to seat us at a large table near the kitchen where there was a lot of action going on. When we asked if we could sit somewhere a little quieter, the host had absolutely no problem moving us to another table. That area wasn't quite as cold either. Later, when the cold air started becoming unbearable again, another waitress told us she would let the manager know. They took care of it right away. That kind of responsiveness makes a difference. Then there was our server, Donte. He was AMAZING. He was on point with everything. Anything we asked for, he brought out right away. He stayed on top of our refills, checked on us, and just gave us genuinely great service from beginning to end. I personally ordered the Seafood Alfredo, added chicken, and substituted angel hair pasta for the fettuccine. If you like Alfredo but don't want those big, heavy fettuccine noodles, try it with angel hair. It was a great way to have the dish. My mother's Zuppa Toscana, unfortunately, was probably the one real disappointment. She remembered it being much creamier and more flavorful years ago. This time she felt it was watered down and lacked flavor. We actually had a pretty big order, but everyone was so hungry that I didn't even think about taking pictures! Sometimes you're just enjoying the moment, and this was one of those nights. The manager also came over to our table to ask how everything was going, and even acknowledged us again as we were leaving. Very good management and customer service all around. If I go back to this Olive Garden, I would definitely ask for Donte. The food was good overall, but the service and the way the staff handled everything are really what made this a 5-star experience for me. I honestly don't know if the night would have been the same without that level of service.

I drove 45 minutes to this location specifically for Lee's triple-shot original coffee after…read morespeaking with Loc on the phone. The menu clearly lists it as $7.95 + $1 for a triple-shot concentrate. When I got to the register, I was told it was $12.50 because of a coffee concentrate shortage. If the price had changed, that information should have been disclosed over the phone before I made the drive. I understand shortages happen, but if your prices have changed, update the menu. Advertising one price and charging a significantly higher one without any notice is frustrating and feels misleading. Customers shouldn't have to find out after they've already driven there and are ready to order. To make matters worse, Natalie was sarcastic and rude instead of trying to address the situation professionally. Good customer service goes a long way, especially when there's already confusion about pricing. I've always enjoyed Lee's coffee, but this experience was extremely disappointing. Please either honor the posted price or clearly post a notice so customers know what to expect before ordering. UPDATE: After leaving, I went back inside to ask for the manager's name and planned to purchase the coffee at the $12.50 price so I could provide the receipt to corporate along with a photo of the menu. Nathalie refused to give me the manager's name. She then told me she could no longer sell me the coffee because I was right and they needed to change the prices. If the posted price was incorrect, it should have been corrected before customers were quoted and charged a different amount. Refusing to provide the manager's name and then refusing the sale after acknowledging the pricing issue only made the situation worse.
