I came to this location on Sunday January 08, 2023 and placed an order for Pad Thai noodle with Tofu with the intent of having it for lunch that afternoon Unfortunately the noodles were inedible and too spicy So I called the location and spoke to the cashier over the phone and explained that I was unable to eat the noodles and if there way any way I could get them replaced She told me it was not possible because the order was not wrong (kinda in a rude way) Went a couple of days later on Wednesday 01/10/2023 And explained the situation to Jacob (shirt manager for the night ) Jacob was really nice about the incident and replaced the order. I'm am extreme happy with the way Jacob handled the incident . I have been to many locations for Pick up Stix including but not limited to Camarillo, Oxnard Lakewood and this location. I feel as thou Jacob exceeds the expectations of any shift supervisor , with his customer service and management skills. In my opinion, deserves to become the general manager for this location. In my personal opinion he also deserves at least a five dollar raise for the work that he does. Butt feel free to give him more he deserves it ...!! Like I have mentioned earlier I have been to many locations with many awful experiences. Service is horrible usually pick up a lot of orders from here employees are very rude and act like there not getting paid to work there come in and ask for a fork employee looked at me with disgust on her face as if I was coming in to ask for a free meal never visiting again. read more

I was really excited to try this place because a friend of mine really raves about it . My boys and I walked in about 8pm and ordered the cashier seemed a bit annoyed that we were taking a bit a to order but that was ok I guess . He hands us 3 cups and we take a seat and came over in a of a rush and asked if our order was to go and rushed of .Comes back about 10 minutes later and places our food down .. doesn't ask if we need anything .. just walks away .. I open my food and start eating and I notice that my rice is is ice cold .. I tried very much to ignore it but it was just too cold . I got up and told them and the cashier took it and tossed it in the trash in front on me .And starting speaking Spanish in front of me What they didn't know is that I spoke Spanish and I understand stood what they were saying about me . They were closing the store early and were not happy that customer were coming in because they were already cleaning. This is my local vegan spot. Ordered a tofu dish & found a couple of pieces of chicken in my entree. Kinda ruined my meal. I at very least recommend the veggie rolls. Not only are they vegan but also delicious. read more

When we went there last Friday we went right before the rush hour. There was only one employee manning the front and he was amazing. His name is David and he was so helpful and patient with everyone. He was able to get everyone's food out very quickly, and kept his cool during a stressful situation. He served everyone with a smile and a good attitude. I will have to ask her what she recommends the next time I see her because my experience left me wanting to throw sticks. ENVIRONMENT - Alfresco dining is available. Before you go inside you must open the little gate outside that encloses the outdoor seating. Kind of annoying if you have kids or a to-go order or both. - The waiting area to pick up your food can get fairly crowded. Kind of awkward getting to the condiments area... - The tablets on one of the walls was cool. Hope they stay nice. SERVICE (5/18/16 at around 1PM) - very friendly & accommodating... - the girl at the register gave my kiddos a free chocolate dipped with sprinkles fortune cookie - the wait time for my to-go order seemed kind of long, though THE GRUB - garlic shrimp combo with brown rice ($7.99) - there were something too sweet about this meal. I was so hungry by the time I got it & went home that I scarfed it down, but it wasn't the best I've ever had - fast food or otherwise. - cream cheese wontons ($.35 apiece on Wednesdays) - I'll never order these to go ever again since they were soggy by the time I got home. Honestly, I'm not crazy about them, but give them a try. PARKING Pick Up Stix is located in the new Promenade shopping center in Downey. In a strip mall that will probably be fairly busy. Free parking. TIPS - Wednesdays are "Wonton Wednesday" whereas each cream cheese wonton is only $.35. OVERALL If you're already in the area, I would hope that you could find some viable options for lunch here. I usually don't complain or comment when a "meal" is bad or underwhelming, but I must say that I was horrendously saddened by the "food" I received from this location. I ordered an order of Pad Thai and 8 Crispy Chicken Dumplings with a side of brown rice. Now while I understand that times are tough and situations out of your control may happen, I have to admit that this "meal" was completely flavorless, had no substance, and wasn't even cooked correctly to boot. Pad Thai should be garnished with carrots, peanuts and bean sprouts, along with them being present in the actual dish. What I received however was not Pad Thai. I received bland, flavorless noodles, with giant slices of onions soaked in what I can only identify as ginger and hatred, and haphazardly cooked together with sad, flavorless, no doubt boiled, chicken. And the the carrots and bean sprouts were then placed, raw and pristine, on top of the noodles, with no sauce or cooking ever having touched their fragile forms. No peanuts in sight at all. The brown rice was bland and under-cooked, and the dumplings were soggy, flavorless and overall not worth being called an appetizer, because they were anything but. I spent $18 on this. I honestly would've preferred to go hungry after forcing myself to ingest even half of the "meal" that I received. In fact, I would've paid $18 dollars to NOT eat this, as I am sure my day would have been much more prosperous had I not. And when trying to write this review and send it your way on your own website, it crashes and refuses to load. Guess you don't want to hear from your "valued" customers after all. I apologize if I am being harsh, but my parents always taught me that tough love teaches people to learn from their mistakes. I sincerely hope that you learn from yours. i always order drunken noodles with shrimp, it's the best for me. i noticed that they changed the way they cooked the shrimps, the shrimp used to be just plain but not with flour. i like both styles though, it's still yummy :) and the stuffs at downey are really friendly and nice! read more
