I am a sucker for their Orange Tofu. Sometimes the sauce is too heavy, but you can ask for "light sauce" and if you want more than the water chestnuts, ask for extra veggies. Just found out they deliver, I told the super sweet girl who took my order that my son liked the fortune cookies, delivery guy just left and mentioned he tossed a bunch of the cookies in with the order. Don't usually hang out in this neighborhood, but coming home from an event at CSULB, had a craving for some quick Chinese food. I have to say I was actually quite impressed!!! It isn't like the typical buffet style Chinese fast food where the server picks out food from under a heat lamp, but they actually prepare your food after you order. So it does take longer than the usual Chinese fast food, but the wait was well worth it! The flavors were fresh, veggies crispy, just good all around. Their chow mein is a bit on the garlicky side so if you have kids, may want to opt for the yakisoba instead. Menu is pretty extensive (compared to other Chinese fast food). Their special Dragon meal specials for under $5.00 is a great deal. I actually visited a couple times since and I think the combo plates are a better deal than the bowls for the Dragon meals and you get more food. With the plate, you get an entree, a salad and rice. It's a nice size portion (what we should probably eating vs the monster portions we've gotten used to)! Call ahead if you want to save some time. Wish there was one closer to where I live! read more

The girl at the counter took a cardboard box and put a trash bag in the box that she had filled up with ice, got up on the bench near me and dumped the ice from the trash bag into the box and then into the ice machine. So nasty! That can't be sanitary! The box wasn't even a nice new one it was dirty looking. Just couldn't even drink my soda after I saw that! Years ago I would travel miles and miles to get to a pick up stix. Their house chicken was so goood! I went to the Bellflower location last week and had the total opposite of good food. I ordered the house chicken. The chicken was dry, rubbery and chewy. The tastes weren't as I remembered either. In fact, the experience was so bad that I will never return. The food is fresh and tasty (they make it to order), the prices are pretty reasonable, and the cream cheese wontons are fantastic. Victoria, the General Manager, is the best thing that happened to restaurants. From day one, she provided excellent customer service, going above and beyond what I would expect. Just left Pick Up Sticks after grabbing an order of chicken Pad Thai with my boyfriend. The place was slammed busy..lots of people...the phone ringing..and then someone spilled their drink all over the table!!! The woman behind the counter who said her name was Monique kicked ass! She was taking orders...answering phone and then came over and cleaned up table for customers....the whole time she smiled!!! I would hire her in a second!! Everyone here is always nice!! Restaurant isn't busy at all but yet almost every table is disgusting. The table we did find to sit at was broken so we couldn't put much weight on it at all. The bathrooms are disgusting and the AC is cranked so high it feels like a freezer. Haven't even gotten to the fold quality because we're still waiting for it. But, with how it is so far - we won't be returning. I'll give this place two stars, with high hopes that the quality of food allowed them to deserve the extra star. read more

I love going to pick up steaks I've never had a bad experience there with the food or the customer service either way I'm a huge fan and I don't think the prices are that expensive for how much food you guys I've never had a problem with low quality meat or fatty pieces so I give pick up Stix five stars!!!!! read more

This is not the old Pick Up Stix. I really despised this meal, so I researched on the net... Pick Up Stix has been bought out by another company and they have moved the h.q. to some other state in the midwest. Ughh. Like they even know Chinese food... Anyways, I got the 2 fer. Firecracker chicken - it was cooked to a level of hardness that rivals grades of steel! and the garlic chicken - chicken which is not coated tasted just like cardboard. Very disappointed, once again with this location. Unfortunately when they're not busy, they decide to send the delivery person home at random hours. As a restaurant manager, I find it very unprofessional for a place to not offer delivery during their "delivery Hours" Today I called at 8pm, they told me to order by 830. I ordered at 815 and they said it's slow so they sent the delivery guy home. The manager said that she's sorry but the delivery guy is home already and she can't help. Nasty soggy warm cream cheese filled wontons 3. upon entering, not properly greeted 4.upon exit, was rudely ignored when I told them to "have a good day" (not even a smile or thanks) 5. Misspelled name for pick up, even though when ordering over the phone it was specifically spelled out letter by letter and only has 4 letters! Called in a to go order for lunch because I was short on time, lunch speacial house chicken with wontons. When I entered the door& walked up to the counter, I was not greeted by any of the 3 employees talking to each other, it was only after I smiled at them and placed my credit card on the counter(signaling I was in a hurry)did one say "hello" and then return to their conversation. I had to wait additional time(which I was limited on already) for them to wrap up their conversation before handing over my order. Upon exiting, I said "have a good day" I was completely ignored, no response whatsoever, not even a smile or thankyou. When I opened my order, I realized they had forgotten the utensils and made the wontons soggy by putting them on top of the steamed white rice, instead of in a separate bag to maintain crispness.  Nobody wants to eat warm cream cheese filled soggy wontons, YUCK And finally after looking at my receipt, they misspelled the name I gave for pick up. Walked into pick up stix today and was Helped out by Jose. He showed great knowledge in what this restaurant served when I asked what some of the foods had and what they contained. I ended up choosing the Tie Sweet Chili Chicken Noodles. I must say I've never tried noodles like this before and it was absolutely amazing. I have to give 5 stars to the service Jose gave me and 5 stars to which ever cook made my food. I would recommend this establishment to my friends and family after this visit. read more

Saturday night, my husband and I decided to stay in and order some food for delivery. Always loved the taste of Pick Up Stix so we figured this would be perfect! Just to preface, we live probably seven-eight minutes away from this location. We ordered a $20+ order since we had to for delivery but we were totally okay with that. The young woman, who maybe was knew, was sweet but wasn't very aware of how to take a phone order. Anyway, they said it would take 30 minutes. We were a bit distracted because we were in the middle of a movie, but next thing we know (after checking the phone log) it had been 55 minutes with no call or food delivered. We called to check up on it, she put us on hold, then came back on the line to ask us what we'd like (as if we didn't place the order). We reiterated that we already ordered and were checking status. She put us on hold again and then got back on to let us know "the food left 5 minutes ago!" Fifteen minutes later after sitting in front of our house for two minutes the young girl brought our food. I took it into the kitchen to make sure the food was even warm while my husband handled the payment. My husband paid with his credit card which didn't have the numbers embossed on the credit card (Quicksilver card). I'm already plating our food at this point. She says she needs to make an imprint of the card and being that she couldn't do so with the particular card, said she needed to call her boss and went back to her car to do so. She came back and said you need to pay with another card or she was going to have to get a copy of his ID. I came to the door and said this is the card we gave you over the phone, this is the card we are paying with. You took almost 70 minutes to deliver our food and at this point it wasn't even worth the wait nor the payment. Mistakes happen, food gets forgotten, I get it. I'm a customer service manager at my job and I know this. But it's how you handle the situation after the fact that can make a break someones perspective of a company. We had this young girl hollering at us for taking over an hour to deliver our food at our own doorstep. No phone call from the manager, nothing. Don't plan on heading to spot I always loved to eat at anytime soon. read more

pretty standard location...a little bit of construction going on next door but doesn't take away from the location...definitely order ahead...they can sometimes take an eternity to make your food but it's really worth it especially if you have a coupon...no extra charge for brown rice and that's a mega plus in my book!!! read more

Went to eat lunch there boy was that a mistake. First of all the cashier has a personality of a doorknob and looks at you like your wasting her time. Second, the food taste like it came out from a freezer. Panda has better taste and quality. So do yourself a favor and head down to Panda Express. read more
