I've been dying for a good Turkish place to open nearby for ages and this place is the answer to my prayers. We tried the sampler mezze platter and the doner pidde (and also an assorted box of baklava). The dolmas are possibly the best I've ever had. They have a huge pizza-style oven inside where they make the pidde, and I also watched the staff rolling out the fresh pita bread. This is a really legit spot, but unlike some of the other Turkish spots in the Bay it's more casual. Great for a weekday lunch. There's also ample seating inside and the interior is cute and comfy. Don't forget to get some dessert and a cup of tea! They have a lovely assortment of Turkish delight and baklava. We went with the baklava this time (the rolled pistachio is my fave) but I'll have to go back for the rose petal pistachio turkish delight. Really great addition to the neighborhood! Was excited to see this new restaurant in Encina shopping center. The place is very clean and bright. We ordered 3 Pidde flat breads to go. We ordered the veggie, one with an egg, one with chicken and one with lamb/beef. We waited for about half an hour and the staff were very friendly offering us tea while we waited (with others also waiting). The ordering process is not that easy but the owner tried to help. The cost for 3 flat breads was more than $60!!! The flat bread was quite tasty but the toppings were disappointing, tasteless and lacked seasoning. The basic Pidde is covered with melted cheese, the veggie part is just diced vegetables and the additional meat was sparse, hard and not seasoned. The egg one was the best choice. Too bad as we were excited about this place...the food from good old Jade Garden was better!! The Kebab place in the Orchards is so much better and worth the money. read more

We had a wonderful meal at Pidde G and already look forward to returning. We started with babaghanoush, tzatziki and pita bread. All very delicious! After we had the chicken shish plate and a Pidde. Everything was really fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection. The chicken was moist and not overcooked, as is so common. We bought a variety pack of desserts to take home - also very delicious! Amazing, authentic lahmacun, the meze platter was good (esp the babaganoush, dolmas and chickpea salad) and came with thin and pliable (ie not too much carbs and not too dry) flatbreads. Service was friendly, efficient and people who run the place seem genuinely very nice. Interior is clean, spacious, welcoming and well lit. I got a falafel wrap for $15 which was tasty however it had only two falafels in the long wrap. It came with a salad and two sauces, one white that looked like mayo or yogurt based. After my initial inquiries about vegan items, this should have been communicated with the kitchen staff. I would like to visit this restaurant more often as a new restaurant in the neighborhood however the staff wasn't very knowledgeable about the ingredients and the front counter had to go back and forth to chef to ask every question it got old fast. Front counter staff should be aware which items are plant based and there should be an easy checklist in the front. Seems all baklavas and Turkish delights are made with butter. Absolutely delicious. Fresh, quality meet and produce. I got beef Pidde and a sampler with dolma,falafel babaganush and humus. Pidde has an incredible tasty dough, soft and flavorful. Beef was very soft and perfectly spiced. Sampler plate- we loved it all. The food here is outstanding and full of authentic Turkish flavor. The lamb kebab was smoky and tender, while the lahmacun was thin, crispy, and topped with just the right blend of spices and fresh herbs. I had the chicken wrap, and my wife tried the bowl--both were excellent and showed off the freshness of the ingredients. As an Asian, I generally don't like to question or judge a business after just one visit, or make emotional and rushed decisions. I truly believe that behind every business there is a lot of investment, effort, goals, and dreams of becoming the best. Everyone can make mistakes, and unfortunately there are many unfair people who judge a business after one try and end up hurting a family's livelihood. I strongly disagree with that mentality. Because I lived in Turkey for five years, Turkish cuisine is one of my top favorites after Iranian food (Italian being another). So when I heard this restaurant had opened, I was genuinely happy. I thought finally we wouldn't have to drive all the way to San Francisco just to enjoy Turkish food. We visited for the first time around August 22 or 23, 2025, right after they opened, and we honestly loved the food. The very next day, I came back with my brothers, my mother, and my father. Long story short, our entire family became loyal supporters. We told relatives and friends about this excellent new restaurant. However, I am strongly against taking advantage of people's trust. Over the past three months, we have continued to order food from this restaurant at least once a week, but unfortunately things have changed. The quality is no longer what it was. The food is either too salty or excessively greasy, and it no longer resembles authentic Turkish quality. On top of that, the prices are unreasonably high. For example, the menu lists "Skewers of Adana Kebab," but you receive only one very small skewer for $14, with no rice or sides. Meanwhile, for $20 you can get two full skewers of top-quality Iranian koobideh with rice and all the sides, or chicken kebab and many other options elsewhere. Tonight, we decided to give it one last chance and ordered Lahmacun and Adana. Sadly, it was the lowest-quality food we've received so far, and we ended up throwing away half of it. I know some people may say, "It's fine, don't bother writing a review," but I believe that if mistakes are ignored, businesses learn that lower quality with higher volume is more profitable than maintaining high quality with honest margins. Also, selling bottled doogh for $5 each, when the same product can be found at any Asian market for 4 bottles for $6, feels unreasonable. I am writing this long review not to attack the owners, but because I truly want to come back and enjoy the day-one quality again -- not feel like our trust is being taken advantage of. My family and I have spent a lot of money here so far, but over the past three months we've consistently been disappointed. We've even asked friends, and unfortunately they share the same opinion. I genuinely hope this feedback is taken constructively and that the restaurant returns to the quality that made us loyal customers in the first place. read more
