Came here with a group of 6 and was seated immediately! Good: - Pizza was delicious, I liked the sausage grandma the best - the pizza tasted healthier than other pizzas I've had, not too oily - Great portion sizes! We had so much pizza leftover and it was good value Bad: - The place was a bit dim - Detroit pizza was smaller for the price Overall this was so much fun and loved the pizza it was quite tasty

This was some of the best pizza I've had in a while. Make sure to get the grandma style. I opted for the Fredo (white sauce) and a Classic (red sauce) both incredible! It's a smaller space, that's a bit dark and loud but a vibe. Seating can take some time, especially if there is a line but the staff are friendly and as helpful as they can be when busy. They have slice options as well as full pizza options. Happy hour from 4-6pm PST. Definitely worth checking out if in the area! Good prices too. Two slices filled me up. Each slice was ~$5 so makes for a decently cheap eat that also tastes really good.

Came here during happy hour (weekdays 4-6pm) for a small outing with coworkers. I had high expectations because it's quite popular with friends and i was not disappointed. it was very spacious and they were prepped with more seats because of downtown first thursdays. we ordered the broccolini's to start and they are definitely worth trying. good chrisp and just a little something healthy before you dig into some pizza. Our server recommended doing half pepperoni and half mauros molto meat on a grandmas style pizza. We liked the pepperoni but we really enjoyed the mauros molto meat we ended up ordering more of it. Overall, it's a very vibey spot with very value happy hour deals. i think it's a fantastic spot for a casual dinner with friends in the soma area!

Good late night spot for drinks and pizza. Super cute and intimate vibes as well. I ordered the fredo slice and it was good! It wasn't the most flavorful, but it hit the spot. Definitely would want to try the other slices and the detroit style.

Quite a few places serve Detroit style pan pizza in the Downtown San Francisco area, so had a few choices. Pie Punks was the closest one walkable from our hotel, with a really good online rating. Like a lot of really popular pizza joints, it's mainly a bar atmosphere with a bar menu centered on pizza. I found the finished pizza to have an incredible crust, but a bit small with stingy toppings and burnt cheese/oil to make parts of it unpleasant. Happy Hour runs between 4 and 6 pm everyday, with some dollars off for drinks and pies. We came early enough to have choice of tables, with the place being packed by the time we left. There is table service provided by the double duty bartenders, and they were admirably able to keep up even with a full house, not forgetting any requests made verbally. Happy hour usually means my wife and I will try a first-time drink. She got the Goldfinger cocktail ($14 minus $2 for HH), and it was very strong. It was the first time I've tried a cocktail with popping boba (in this case, lychee flavor), and it was a really good addition. There were two draft beers we hadn't tried, Ghost Town Lager and Pranqster Golden Ale ($9 minus $1 for HH), so got the latter. Forgot that Golden Ale is hoppy, so ended up finishing it by myself (my wife won't drink hoppy beer). As for the main event, it came out pretty fast (under 15 minutes) once we ordered it. It was a Pepperoni Detroit ($23 minus $3 for HH), and the crust was fluffy, not too thick and very crunchy on the outside. The edges of the cheese had been cooked well, but beyond crunchy caramelization to make the corners really burnt (I like the corners of a Detroit, but this was too burnt even for me). I think the 10x8 pizza could be finished by one really hungry person...and a good amount for two. There is a 2% surcharge for using credit cards, and payment can be handled at the table, using Toast. For once, we didn't have leftovers so were quickly on our way.

I ordered the vodka martini slice. It was good. The ratio of topping and sauce to dough is perfect. This is the perfect place to grab a slice and drink with a few friends. There is plenty of seating

Solid Detroit style pizza-- we ordered a slice of the sausage and it took 10 minutes to come out! The bartender was super nice and friendly. The flavors were there but the slice was missing that char / done-ness on the edges.

Pizza by the slice, an extensive cocktail list and good music and vibes. What more could you want?! Stopped by Pie Punks during a work trip to SF and I was not disappointed. I kept things pretty simple with a grandma slice, but let it be known that they have a huge selection of slices / pies. You can go round and thin or deep dish square. They also have a solid happy hour deal and cocktails were a few bucks off which was nice. Service was speedy and friendly, and if you could've guessed by the name the music selection was fun. Cute spot for a bite and a drink if you find yourself in this part of town.

Yes, yes, and yes! Although it's rich in the butter, carbs, and fat my doctor advised I avoid, their pies are totally worth it! This spot is pretty intimate, and around lunch hours it's clear that most patrons grab their pies to go, but when time permits, I'd certain recommend dining in. We did not try the drinks, we ordered only salad and fresh, carb full, pizza pie, but between the idols painting the walls, the people watching from the window seats, and the pies themselves, the pie punks dine in experience is a vibe. Although they're known for their Detroit style pie, do not fear "Grandma style" (especially at $5 a (giant) slice). When visiting San Fran, I have 3 must-visit stops, Pie Punks just earned a spot on the list.

Pizza by the slice. Above average drinks. Dope spot. A group of five of us popped in for a quick bite and cocktail. We were ecstatic when we saw pizza by the slice. I think they gave us a few extra by mistake. We happily obliged even though they charged us for them. Grandma slices are arguably my favorite, however I don't find them too often where I live. The margherita and pepperoni were delicious. A nice crisp on the bottom, proper ratio of cheese and sauce. And those pep cups were oily, fatty, salty, and exactly what they should be. Cocktails were very good, but service was slow as molasses. Seemed like they were understaffed or not expecting as many customers during the time we visited. Being five of us, there was only one table for us right by the kitchen in the back of the restaurant. Most of the tables are four tops so keep that in mind. Snag a table outside if you're lucky. Dig the unpretentiousness of this place. A good vibe, a good time, and a really good slice. Get some!

this place was so awesome! Came with my coworker for a bite out and was amazed! We started with drinks, modelo and a pussy galore. We then ordered the cheese curds- they were so light and airy it was such a nice surprise! I was expecting something similar to a mozzarella stick but was super surprised to taste how airy it was. Then, we wanted more so we got the risotto balls- these weren't as good as I was wanting but nonetheless they did a great job, 3/5 on those tho. Next we decided on a slice of the classic - this was unlike any slice I've had before. Square shaped and perfectly burnt crusted edges gave the pizza a unique flavor. The sauce was sweeter than I anticipated but not overpowering- more of a I can't wait to try this again way! This was an amazing pizza- the lady we spoke with when we first arrived told us to try the Detroit style- I didn't have the room for that but would definitely come back again! Please try this place out. Such a good vibe and cool atmosphere

very similar vibes to hamburguesa down to the lil retro tv. turns out they're related. sausage grandma slice is very good - crisp around the edges but chewy in the center. we were promptly seated and had our order taken.

Loved every plate that's landed in front of me. Came here before a giants game. Enjoyed pizza, apps, and a drink. The decor is very unique and gives it a fun nostalgic vibe. Cheese curds were delicious. My daughter ate every single piece with no hesitation. Servers are friendly and very hospitable. Very chill staff. Checked on us regularly. So glad to review this spot for my 50th yelp review!

We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

It takes a lot for me to consider a return visit to a cocktail bar. Most of the time, I just begrudgingly go along with my friends to a mediocre bar, but Blind Pig is a place I would enthusiastically return to again and again. I first got the namesake cocktail: Blind Pig. It was incredibly well-balanced, and the flame presentation upon arrival was an epic mini show. Later during last call, I decided to risk it all and roll the dice to order from the secret menu. I rolled a 5, which got me a wine & Japanese beer concoction with Sichuan peppercorn. Totally feel like this cocktail was made for me, as I rep the 川渝 region. The drink was strong, but that made it all the better.
