Husband partakes in lots of slices in the Bay Area. He gave his pepperoni an 8.2. Easy to order at the kiosk. Waited maybe 5 minutes. Good for a quick fill the tummy options

First tried Joyride Pizza (not to be confused with Joyride the candy brand, Hi Ryan & Hailey! Love your candy) at a YEE about a year ago?! I wrote a separate review for that event. Recently re-visited Joyride Pizza on Market St., and instead of their pizzas, I decided to try their wings! Chicken wings! Yay! Comes with 6 pieces, piping hot, and meaty! They were so hot that I burnt the roof of my mouth! And my fingers. So good tho. Crunchy (a little bit bouncy, they may not be deeply fried?), slightly oily, and really hot! Make sure you dip them into the ranch dressing so it can cool down a bit. Small store with a little bit of space for eating in and mostly take out. They have a few outdoor tables for al fresco dining, but who dares to do this on Market street? Okay, maybe it's better now but I'm still a bit weary. You may be a lot more brave! Service was fast, I placed order via kiosk and got my food fairly quickly. I normally don't talk about parking bc I don't really drive in the City, but let me tell you parking sux here. Best to come by foot, bus or get dropped off. Located on Market and Third St./Kearny (next door to Junbi)

While walking around Salesforce park, we saw that there was an event happening where they had joyride pizza and it looked so good we had to get it, so walked over to this location. We got the cheese pizza and the sweet heat pineapple pizza. Cheese pizza was ok, I've had better, the Parmesan cheese on top didn't help it. The sweet heat pineapple was pretty good, I loveddd the hot honey on there and the crust was so different and unique! Really wanted to try and see what peppercini is but we had only one piece on two slices (which ended up falling) so I'm still curious what that tastes like. I'd just like the jalapeños to be a bit spicer on this pizza and then I think it'd be better!

I had this pizza 6 weeks ago and I keep thinking about it. I was staying at the hotel down the street and needed some food post airplane ride. It really hit the spot! The restraint itself is small, but it's inviting! There are only a few seats inside and out, so we decided to take our food to go. We ordered at the kiosks and paid there, so ordering is so it yourself and easy. It was so hard to decide what I wanted! I went classic and went with the YOLO Roni pepperoni. I loved the deep dish and crispy edges with the pepperoni! It was so cheesy and gooey. I had half left over so I definitely recommend splitting if you're not starving. I'd return for sure!

After a long day at a wedding my fiancé and I wanted late night eats but didn't feel like walking down Market Street and after looking around we found Joyride Pizza. It's a small Detroit style pizza joint that has choice pizza! We ordered our food to go, and it took a good minute to find it, but our directions took us to the back of the building. While my fiancé waited in the car I ran out to find the entrance. It was pretty quiet for a Saturday night, but what do you expect in a busy city? Everyone has somewhere to be. The restaurant was small, smelled good, and bright! I was welcomed with a smile and asked for our order, and it was already bagged up! I couldn't wait to take a peek at the pie and shoot, when I opened it up it was beautiful! We ordered the Pestorrific (Smoked chicken, applewood smoked bacon, mozzarella & brick cheese, topped with pesto and ranch) and the Garlic Knots. I have to admit I'm a sucker for a good pesto and this pie didn't disappoint! The bread was soft and spongy with a nice crunch from the crust. The toppings were full of flavor and so filling! The garlic knots were nothing crazy and pretty standard, but hey who doesn't like garlic knots? So you never can go wrong! Next time I'm visiting the North Bay I will stop by one of their 7 locations. Cheers!

Grabbed some late night Joyride Pizza on my recent SF trip. Looks like they have a few locations in the area. I ordered online and got the build your own with a few toppings. Side of ranch is a big enough for the whole pizza (coming from someone who drowns their pizza in ranch). Pizza was pretty good! The crust was a little soft for my liking but still good. It came to $37, and I would say it's definitely not big enough for two people. Two things I would note: *You can't write any notes on the online ordering. I really wanted the sauce under the cheese (don't cancel me!!) *The basil was two big leaves placed on top after baking. I had to tear them up to get little pieces so there was a little with each bite otherwise it would be two bites with a big basil leaf and the rest without. Can either grab and go or dine at their street side tables or the smaller ones inside. I just did pick up but the staff were friendly during our two second interaction haha. Great way to end my night- cuddled up in a hotel bed with some Joyride Pizza!

Super delicious and filling pizza here. I had just landed from a cross-country flight from Boston and was looking for something tasty and quick. Alas, Joyride was walking distance from our hotel in SF so I grabbed an Individual sized pizza with two coworkers. It was so delicious. The pizza is pretty greasy so def grab napkins! Having 1 of the 2 pieces was just enough before dinner. I saved the other slice for later. Huge slices with some cheese pull action and lots of marinara-- just how I like it. Made on the spot, served fresh. The one bummer was they didn't really have many drink/soda options which is too bad. Would've loved to grab a coke with this meal or something.

This pizza is delicious!!! Sooo many options to choose from and the individual size is perfect!! Super fresh and very friendly and quick service. I can't wait for my next trip to San Fran

    06) Garden Goddess (v)

Ordered 2 pizzas and a dozen garlic knots via DoorDash. Pizza is definitely on the pricer side. Got the Garden Goddess which was good and the Sweet Bianca which was average. Garlic knots were good as well.

    Deep dish, pepperoni pizza

One of the best deep-dish pizzas I've ever had--by far. They have several locations, but I really enjoy the one by the Embarcadero. It's a nice spot to sit at the bar, while some of the other locations don't have much indoor seating (sometimes only a couple of seats). Service is always great, with a very friendly staff. I especially love how they pour extra sauce over the top of the pizza right after it comes out of the oven.

Been to the Yerba Buena Joyride a few years ago for Yelp Elite Event. We saw on Yelp that they have since expanded to a more to go type spot on Market (and open late). Very small sitting area, pumping music was too loud, not good for conversation. Pizzas are displayed behind display case. Order via kiosk, one guy working hard making all the pizzas. Full size ($27-30/each for 6 squares), Personal size (half, 3 squares). Shared a full size Garden Goddess + added chicken and bacon with dear husband. Man the ricotta cheese was too rich for me. I forgot Detroit style doesn't have any sauce, it's more dough-y. Edges were crispy but little oily. Still as good as I remembered.

    Linda Y.

A small shop on Market St that is one of the few hopes for folks looking for a late-night casual bite in FiDi. There's one table inside, but mostly grab-and-go. This is Detroit-style pizza, so the slices are thick and chewy - I've been a couple times; think the Sweet Bianca is worth a try (ricotta and fig jam) for something unique, but overall I don't love the pizza. It's neither pillowy nor crispy and the sauce doesn't taste that fresh. But I also generally prefer NY slices so make of it what you will! The service is decent but the price is expensive -- it's like $13 for a slice and while it's substantial, that's still kind of too much.

I've been to Tony's a few times, and the first two times, my hub and I have left raving about it and telling all our friends and fam to get to Tony's. It's a l w a y s busy, even on weekdays, even in the middle of the work day. Reservations are smart! Parking is not easy but not impossible in the area. Without getting into the gnarly details, it wasn't fun and I've been grieving pizza since this new discovery. So why would I go to Tony's with this new allergy? Because! I read that they offer a gluten free, dairy free pizza. Insane I know, but yet they offer it and I was PUMPED. When asking the waiter what I can get based on my needs, he responded to me like I was a war criminal. He was a Caucasian gentleman with brown hair. He raised his voice for all the diners to hear about my allergies, told me I couldn't get any pizza, and when I pointed out that there were options, he told me "I'll triple check if this is possible for you." When he came back and confirmed it was possible, he tells me they can do a gluten free pizza with vegan cheese and vegan pepperoni. It felt like the moment he heard 'gluten' and 'dairy,' he mentally categorized me as 'vegan' and stopped looking for ways to make the experience enjoyable. Yikes! Lol I fully recognize - girl, why did you go to a pizza spot with a gluten and dairy allergy? Yes I am not okay for this hahah but also I felt pretty embarrassed and treated really poorly. This experience doesn't reflect Tony's as a whole, but it was just a terrible interaction and that waiter made it real clear that he has no patience for anything that is inconvenient during his work shift.

Here's how it went: Service: friendly. Once off hold on the phone, and when picking up, the staff was pleasant for sure. The space: convenient walk up counter. Love a good sticker wall, and the display was nice to have. Value: honestly reasonable, especially comparatively. Ordered a small cheese and a small garlic and clam and two people could for sure share a small. Taste: other recent reviews are hitting it on the head - while the garlic and clam was decent (3.5/5), the cheese struck a core memory of elementary school cafeteria pizza (just without the tiny pepperoni diced cubes, 2/5), and both were just lukewarm, soft/not at all crisp, and just weren't packing much flavor at all. I can see Golden Boy being a workable late night solution for the City that Goes To Bed Early, but not much else beyond that at this point. Rating 3 stars at places with nice people working is not my favorite, so I'm glad that it's an institution and has stood the test of time and truly hope that they can/will calibrate on elevating their formula here, because I want to see this place deserve the love it gets.

I also enjoyed their use of fresh basil and the grated Parmigiano-Reggiano they throw on at the end. It's kinda like a new york slice, but a little gourmet? Very tasty for sure. Critiques: First off, each slice is $6-7, which is a bit steep. Maybe times have changed, but this is def not a budget meal, especially if you are eating multiple slices. Second, some of their already crispy slices have been sitting on display for some time and completely cooled down. When these slices are then reheated, there is a bit of an overcooked taste? Lastly, they only have a few topping options and the quantity of toppings on each slice (especially protein) is pretty sparse. I also ordered a slice of the Sicilian as well to mix things up. It was good, but the crust was just a touch too greasy for me.

What made the situation even more unprofessional was that she left the payment device at our table for Apple Pay and then actually left the restaurant. She was the only server we had seen around, so we were basically left sitting there with the payment device and no server. We eventually had to get up ourselves to find someone so we could ask for boxes and return their payment device. No one had even asked whether we needed boxes, wanted anything else, or were finished ordering. My boyfriend didn't even finish his beer because at that point the entire vibe had changed and we just wanted to leave. We had driven an hour specifically to try this restaurant and were genuinely excited about it, which made the experience even more disappointing. I completely understand if a server's shift is ending, but there is a professional way to handle that--especially when customers are still actively eating and one person at the table hasn't even ordered yet. Someone could have simply explained that her shift was ending and introduced whoever would be taking over our table. Instead, we were made to feel like we needed to pay and leave. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the experience. We really wanted to like this place, but being treated this way after driving an hour to come here was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
