Got a late night vegetarian pizza slice here after clubbing with friends. Options were very minimal at around 2am. Google Maps lists their closing time as 1am on Saturdays, so I was surprised they were even still accepting orders, and it might have factored into the limited options available. Even though my friend and I ordered individually, they charged him for us both. Really annoying to hassle with splitting the charge, and I've noticed a pattern in SF where counter service establishments charge only one party member even if you've indicated you'll pay separately. To worsen the experience, my pizza was delivered cold, like not refrigerator cold, which actually might've been better, but lukewarm cold. Seems they didn't heat it up at all. I finally got the chance to go to Pizzelle Di North Beach in my neighborhood to try their hamburgers over the weekend. I decided to go all out and order the largest burger they had, so I ordered the "The Big Burger". I was so surprised at how big it really was when it was brought to my table!! It was a very huge triple patty quarter pounder!! It was so big that I couldn't finish the side of French Fries that came with it. It was so delicious and was one of the best burgers I have had lately. The very lovely cashier was very friendly when she asked me if I wanted American or Mozzarella Cheese on my burger and how I wanted my burger to be cooked. I really need to come back here to try their other burgers and pizza slices. Definitely not the best pizza in North beach but also, not the worst. The pizza lacked a crunch to the crust and it was quite oily. We started out at Molinari's deli, but after 15 minutes and the line hardly moving, we left and came here. We're glad we did. We got a slice of pepperoni and combination and both were very good. The pizza had a very crispy crust and a well-balanced sauce. It was a large slice for the price. The best part of the experience was meeting the owner and his wife. He was such a nice man and very welcoming. We learned that he has been there for 17 years and makes everything from scratch. Our urber driver was kind enough to bring us here late night just before closing. They sell by the slice and have entrée items (we only had pizza) the pizza was really good, fresh and hot. The staff was so friendly and accommodating which being late night was greatly appreciated. Very reasonably priced for the quality . The cashiers sometimes look stand-offish but they're super polite and friendly. Went out of their way to get me a hot slice of the pizza I wanted so I really appreciate that. The lady who served us was really patient and helpful with me and my boyfriend being indecisive. The service is top notch (it's 12:30pm on a Monday, for reference). The slice prices are odd, for example $5.06 for pepperoni. They have beer also, not a huge selection but still they have it. Do I plan to return? Possibly, it really depends if I'm in the area.
