It's worth the drive to go to any other Pie Tap location instead of this one. The food is always great, but I had an unapologetically terrible service experience. The restaurant wasn't busy and was definitely adequately staffed for the crowd there at brunch time, but we had to ask multiple times for anyone to even come to our table after we were seated. Drink service was quite slow even despite the bartenders not appearing busy, and after the meal we asked three different people for the check before we finally had to walk to the bar after our waiter was rolling napkins and then on his phone instead of bringing us the ticket (that we had asked him for twice by then). Quality of food was great, but other Pie Tap locations are close enough and have great service to make this location not worth the convenience. read more

DH and I have been to this location multiple times. The restaurant was very crowded on our first visit, so we sat at the counter overlooking the kitchen/workshop area. Our service was fine, but we received no suggestions on what to order. The server received a smaller tip than our usual because I was unfamiliar with their hand-held credit card system and simply chose the suggested amount. On subsequent visits, we have been seated in the dining room. Brooke is our favorite server. She has a great personality and has been good to make ordering suggestions. read more

Garlic knots were very good- not a lot of garlic but that's fine with me...actually how I prefer it. Caesar salad was fresh and a nice size. Workshop salad was huge and very fresh and delicious-my guests enjoyed it greatly. We all shared the chicken pizza which was very delicious! I love the pizza crust here-simple yet delicious. We ordered the donuts for dessert upon our waitress's recommendation. They were fresh and hot just not the type of dessert I prefer. My guests enjoyed the donuts though. I did not like that we were charged $1 extra for honey with the donuts when I wasn't asked if I wanted it. Not a lot of money but it still bothered me. The service was good and in summary excellent pizza, really fresh salads and tasty garlic knots. read more

This Plano location has the worst food and service. phone in for 3 pizzas and been told for 15 minutes. We got to the restaurant 15-20 minutes and text for curb side pick up. Waited in the car for 10-15 minutes and never show so decided to go inside and pick up. When I got inside I have noticed three boxes of pizza was just sitting on the counter and whole restaurant only had one table customer. Without much of anything just paid and left. When I got home all three pizza was COLD and one of them was BURNT!! My wife callEd right away and talk to the shift manager and been told they will email the gift card for their mistake. Few days go by nothing. So my wife called again and talk to different shift manager this time and same thing they ask for email for gift card. And nothing again. Contact the corp office and never heard anything back either. I guess they really BURN their business this time. read more

Pie Tap was already on our favorite list of places to go for lunch or dinner but now I am one of their biggest fans for Brunch. We were looking for a place to go celebrate my father in law's Birthday which was on New Year's day. Not a lot of places were willing to accommodate a party of 14 people at the last minute considering that it was a Holiday. However, Pie Tap's staff was Awesome. They provided us with a great table and made our day special. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. Thank you Pie Tap for making sure we had a wonderful celebration. We will be stopping by again soon read more

Tried for the first time tonight. Food was good-- you can tell the ingredients are fresh and the flavor combinations are well thought out. Goat cheese fondue was amazing! Prosciutto pizza was good-- the dates were a nice sweet touch on the pizza but there could have been more prosciutto as it was more mild in flavor than others that I've had. Raspberry basil mojito was only fair and I'd probably try something different next time. But my major problem with this place was that it was so HOT inside the restaurant, at least 80 deg if not warmer. The poor waiters were working hard and I could see them constantly wiping their sweat off. I could only eat one slice of pizza and decided to skip dessert bc it was so hot and uncomfortable that I was anxious to leave. It's only the beginning of May; I'm not sure how you could enjoy a meal there at any point during the summer months. read more

Meh: Can't see the hype. Pizza is OK, however is dry. Hanging sign out front says specials in drinks until 5:00 PM weekdays? ( Geez, at least give us till 6 if we work till 5) 8 oz glass of house wine was 15 bucks ! Yikes! Overall just OK, however way too many other options, close, for Pizza. read more

First time here was not impressed something wasn't right with our food I didn't even make it through my meal and had to rush the bathroom and was sick to my stomach. From what I did eat the pizza was rather bland and the mushroom and egg pizza tasted funny. Only upside was the knots were good. read more

Wow! This is the best pizza. I was in town for a high school swim meet and looked on Yelp. This place popped up and so glad it did. The staff was friendly. I called in order and it was ready when I arrived. It is really a beautiful restaurant inside with a glass window kitchen so you can see the pizza makers at work. I hope to return one day and eat in. They also had a cute outside area. It is in a shopping center next door to a yogurt place. It is not free standing. I had a bit of trouble finding it but it was worth it. read more

I love this place! Who doesn't like great pizza?! They make dough in house and pizza is just the tip of it when talking about the menu. We sat at the bar with Christian and had a freaking blast. He was so knowledgeable of the menu, food and drinks alike. He recommended a few things and we had to get them. They have wine on tap and a great beer selection, not to mention a pretty decent cocktail program. I had a Belgian triple and my lady had a glass of Pinot noir (if My memory serves me right). We started with the Spiedini (prosciutto wrapped provolone if Im not mistaken) followed by a Workshop Salad (similar to a chopped salad but unique and well balanced) both were great and the salad was a great size. My girlfriend and I split it before we ordered our meals. I had the half a bird (rotisserie in house bone-in half chicken) with elotes corn as my side and jalapeño crema. My girlfriend ordered a Margarita pizza and everything came out of the kitchen hot and in good time. The pizza has a wonderful flavor and texture to the crust because of the dough being made in house and the bird was juicy and so tender. I had such a great time I asked Christian when he worked next so he could take care of me again! Definitely recommend this place and if I were you, I'd ask to sit at the bar with him. Even when he was busy he made time to come check up on us and keep our glasses full. Think I found my new favorite pizza joint in Plano/Frisco. read more

I came for lunch/brunch on a Saturday. The food is delicious. And they have great drink specials for brunch! The house made doughnuts are fantastic and I recommend getting them with the local honey for dipping. They staff is friendly and helpful and they are well staffed. Pizza was good. Service was slow with our waiter. He was eating his lunch while trying to wait on table. Took him 15 minutes to bring our wine then another server had to bring our pizza to table. Restaurant was warm and music is way to loud. read more

I have given this place two chances. My mom and I have eaten here twice now during non-peak hours. The first time, the service was incredibly slow despite being the only two customers in the restaurant. We just stopped in there again today around 2:00. I ordered the carbonara minus the bacon and confirmed with the server the subtraction of the bacon would make it vegetarian. It came out with an undercooked egg. I get that poached eggs are still soft, but the whites were almost completely raw. Deciding to take my chances and eat it, I found the pasta tasted like pork. My mom had ordered the regular carbonara and I don't know if they reused the pan or what. Our server sat at the bar for the next 17 minutes never checking on our table. She only came by once another party came in. I told her my issue with it. No "sorry" or "would you like something else." I left this place without eating. It's also worth pointing out no manager stopped by after that. We had been the only customers in there. Spectacular fail from a customer perspective. read more

I don't write reviews ever but this place left the best impression on me out of the so many restaurants I've ever visited in my 20+ years in dallas. Came in on wednsday at 2pm for takeout. Ordered gluten free prosciutto pizza and spiedini. Eventually ended up ordering 2 glasses of cabernet wines, during happy hour which made them a steal. I'm not a big wine drinker but these cabs were smooth and certainly one of the best I've drank. The gluten free pizza was the best I've tasted, and I've tried around 10 different places around town. The taste on the bread isn't different but the texture here was more like a real bread although you will never taste great pizza if you're eating gluten free. I've developed an allergy to wheat so i know what pizza really should taste like. I've also worked at one of the top pizza places I the dfw. The real reason im writing a review is the service though. The bartender introduced herself to me who was getting takeout. The guy, possibly manager, forgot to place my order as gluten free but personally came and apologized and took it off my tab. The bartender noticed it wasn't gluten free and immediately let me know. I've been to many places by myself for lunch, and typically you don't get great service during a weekday lunch when youre dining by yourself. I don't really care but getting that kind of service did make me feel good. In the end though, all that matters to me is the food and I've been searching for decent gluten free pizza for a year and i will try others in hopes that some new gluten free flour pops up that's exactly like all purpose flour, but i will be coming back. read more

With so many choices of places to eat in Plano, we are always looking to try new places. My wife and I had lunch at Pie Tap in Plano last Saturday. It was a wonderful experience! We really liked the decor with its many industrial touches but still uncluttered. This location is building a large patio that will double their seating area and promises to be fun and comfortable as it will have forced air heating in the winter. The food was fresh and delicious as advertised. We had the Workshop Salad to start; this salad is huge and enough to share for 4 diners. The salad is delicious with many complex flavors, certainly not boring! We ordered the pepperoni pizza because we could compare it to other pepperoni pizzas from restaurants that we like. The crust is wonderful, light, and airy but robust enough to hold the sauce, cheese and meat. For me, good pizza is all about the sauce because it's the sauce that gives the pizza most of its flavor. At Pie Tap, their sauce created with fresh ingredients is the star of the pie; flavorful and savory without overbearing tomato strength. We will be back for the pizza! We also ordered the rotisserie chicken and the mac n cheese; the chicken was nicely seasoned and the mac n cheese was creamy, cheesy goodness. So the food is awesome! The staff is attentive, warm, and friendly. They are wonderful at explaining the various dishes and making great recommendations that can be relied on. The combination of friendly staff and delicious food makes this restaurant a fun experience and we will be back frequently to try different dishes and enjoy the vibe! read more
