My favorite pizza place just came to my neighborhood. Out of all 3 Pie Taps this location is by far my favorite. My server was super attentive and on point for such a busy evening. We had the chicken meatballs and spedini for apps. For dinner we had mushroom pizza and margarita pizza. By far the best pizza in Dallas. We had two managers check in while we enjoyed our meal. This was not a place that we were actually planning on visiting, but I'm glad we did. I have to say, that the pizza is amazing! I would most definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone who is craving a good pizza pie and great ambiance. There wine and beverage selection is on point and compliments their dishes perfectly. We wanted to support our local restaurant, therefore we decided to order from Pie Tap Pizza, Plano for the first time. Unfortunately, this will be the last! We were very disappointed with the tiny portion of the salty gnocchi & the chicken parmigiana was over cooked & dry!! The knots were over baked and hard. We order out 2-3x a week & willing your pay for a great meal. We are shocked that you charge $16-17 for these pasta dishes! Definitely not worth the value or taste! We live in the neighborhood and decided to stop in; we were certainly not disappointed. The pizza was great, and my kids loved the spaghetti. The inside is really cool, albeit on the small side. However, it does appear that they are building out a pretty killer patio. We look forward to checking them out again soon. read more

Went for the first time last night. Place had a great vibe - relaxed but trendy and intimate for a "pizza joint". Would be a good date spot or somewhere to go with friends or the family. Started with cocktails and a board and the chicken meatballs, which were delicious. Their house made sourdough bread is addictive. We then moved on to Chicken pizza and salami pizza, both were excellent. The red sauce is fresh and has a nice flavor. The server was very friendly and helpful in recommendations and the manager came by and made sure everything was ok. Great food plus great service and atmosphere makes for an enjoyable night out. So glad I tried this new place. Went last night for their $10 pizza special. The pizza was delicious, I had the mushroom that had egg and bacon too. It sounds like a strange combination but it worked well, very tasty! The staff were friendly and attentive. Wow, what great and fresh pizza. My daughter and I met for lunch and we split a salami pizza (a meat lovers equivalent). The toppings were high quality and the crust was chewy and delicious. The atmosphere is urban/contemporary with friendly servers. Management also visited to check on our experience....a warm and welcoming touch. I couldn't believe it when I realized this place had just opened 2 blocks from my house, only after having take out from their other location in the design district one week earlier! My daughters had ordered an unusual pizza before I arrived, and it was so fantastic! I love unusual combination pizza, but basically just love any pizza, being from NJ. We have been there twice now, and I have to stop myself from eating the whole prosciutto pie myself. The crust is so light and flavorful, without being that awful "thin crust" that other places around here are famous for. The tiny slices of prosciutto, pistachios, dollops of house ricotta whip, and that caramelized sweetness with the arugula and balsamic glaze on top, is pure genius. I managed to bring 2 pieces home, and will likely eat it cold for breakfast again like last time. Husband got the pepperoni which was also delicious, not heavy at all. It will take a long time before I venture to try anything else on the menu because I love this pizza so much. It was nice that it was pleasantly crowded, but the service was excellent on both occasions. I'm so lucky this is within walking distance! This was our first time eating here and wow. First off, our waitress Brooke was fantastic! So energetic and knowledgeable. She provided great service, and we'll definitely come back and ask to be seated in her area. We had the homemade root beer, so tasty! Defintely try that! My mom and I also split a salad and a pizza. The pizza was so fresh and so delicious. You can definitely tell the difference, it tasted cleaner. We didn't have room for any dessert but maybe next time! Way over prIced. $4 for a gluten free crust which is about double that of other places. The $17! Prosciutto pizza might have had 5 thin slices of prosciutto and and about the same for the dates. Food was good. Service was not very good. We walked into an empty restaurant yet couldn't have a normal table because they had "reservations." Funny thing is, there were empty tables the entire time we were there. So we are stuck at the bar in front of where they make pizzas.. with a party of 4. Didnt make for a great family dinner sitting side by side. Then once we sat down it took them at least 10 minutes to even take our drink order. Food was quick coming out so that was nice. All of our drinks were empty half the time. The meal was definitely overpriced for the amount and quality of food you get. Not awful, not great - probably not worth our money though. read more

First time @ pie tap & will absolutely not be my last. As an app I had the Fondue, which was incredible. The toasted pecan jam complemented the goat cheese fondue beautifully. Entree wise, I ordered the chicken pesto pasta & it was uhhhhmaaaazeeeeballs. I finished my lil feast with a slice of the chocolate cake & it was spectacular. Although the food was exceptional, the service I received stood out most. Hannah, the bartender, was a gem. Over all very nice visit for 3 of us. Reservation on Saturday lunch was honored and ready. Brittney was attentive and very nice. Problem was food requests. Brunch sandwich asked twice NO TOMATO, it was presented with tomato. 2 pizzas sausage egg and salmon asked to be extra crispy dark crust both arrived regular. Kitchen and food checker or server not checking food before serving. Bloody Mary's very good really but so stingy with limes really?? Sorry 3 star but you dont check food before delivery very poor. Kitchen was more concerned with dinner prep than reading requests. Woukd be nice to have both menus on Saturday not just the brunch menu. read more
