It seems seafood crab is popular around here, so I decided to check it out. To start, there are lots of parking spaces here, but many other popular adjoining businesses so it gets packed sometimes. I was seated right away when I got there. They have a bar side and restaurant side. The bar is loud and happy. Nothing wrong with that. I sat on the restaurant side in a booth. I noticed a lot of people signed their names on the wall, so there's lots to read while you wait for your food. The waitress suggested the C4 which came with 1/2 lb of Dungeness (crab legs), 1/2 lb shrimp, 1/2 mussels, 2 corn and 2 potatoes. On top of that, they give you for free, 6 pieces of chicken wings. Not bad. The food was amazing. It came with a bib, gloves, a bucket, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce. I will come back to check out more menu items. This seems to be a popular place. read more

I've definitely had better seafood boils around the city only critique I would say is if the spice level was supposed to be fire,I wish I was spicier and the sauce was very oily, but the service was good and I love the decorations inside of the restaurant. I'm not a huge fan of seafood boils, because I've never had a GREAT one. This restaurant was ok...... I wasn't impressed at all. We went for a birthday dinner, and I ordered the boil with shrimp, mussels, and sausage. I got the garlic sauce which was super salty. I had to drink so much water. One person we were with got a fried fish basket, and had to send it back because it was undercooked. The adult beverages were very good and the service was good. I've been twice to Pier88 first time to go where I tried a seafood boil and second time I dined in for the happy hour. It's a nice size with a full bar and the they had a good playlist playing overhead. Age group for the bar could vary and be a good spot to hang out with friends and grab something to eat. The happy hour prices are too good to be true! If I remember correctly most drinks were $3-$5 and the food didn't go past $8. My husband and I went here for the first time on Friday for our date night. We both had a great time. We were greeted with a smile and were seated promptly. Our waitress Taylor was a sweetheart. We had the C1 boil and the fried shrimp. Both were delicious. I recommend trying their Bahama Mama. That drink was made on point!! Great atmosphere and the music was great. There was no wait and food was to the table quickly, hot, and fresh. I'm one of those ones who love seasonings but it was too salty and the food taste nothing like in Hampton, Va. Don't go in there with a big party all the staff will look and be confused and have you sitting for 30 minutes when there's plenty of open spaces! The bartender was a rude man and not friendly at all while we got shots and waited! It's like he saw our group and automatically judged us! Great spot, came from the airport off of a delay. Super pleasantly surprised to fine this place. Not fancy, down to earth place with real people serving real food. Food was amazing, especially the boil and the 88 special seasoning. Great prices too! Shout out to to Sierra for helping making my experience even better! Out of the new "pop up crab shacks ". This has got to be the most poorly managed, misguided, and unprofessional. I don't expect this store to last long.! As I stood in line to wait to order. All I heard was negative views from the patrons walking out. One server said out loud "hope to see you guys again" And the customer said under their breath they will never return here again. At that moment I decided to hold off on my order to just watch how the staff operated. Very unprofessional and non aware of what's going on. Their was one lady working behind the desk she tried her hardest to handle every customer. She by far was the best representation to this location. But then this one loudmouth unprofessional woman with slides on just ruined the already suspect experience I started to have. Her rude, loud non caring demeanor is exactly why I walked out. I understand businesses just starting and how difficult things could be at first. The lady behind the counter wearing red boots. Did hard best to maintain a professional environment. But clearly they weren't on the same page. I seen some customers just turn around and leave some customers returned because of their order being wrong. I'll give you guys another shot in 30 days to see the progress. But as of now I will go across the street where the environment is much more friendly and professional. Sad thing I was unable to try their food. Hopefully next time my rating can be based off their food. And not their performance. As it stands right now on a scale of 1-10. They will get a 4.
