Great food and ambience, staff was attentive , view was attractive, it's a perfect dinner place

From my initial call with Mr. R. Santos to make the reservation for my party of 8 to the moment we entered their doors - the ambiance and warm greeting upon our entrance was beyond exceptional. After we were offered drinks options, we started perusing the menu that was carefully handed to us as we tried to make a decision as to what we delectable foods we will be devouring. We wanted to choose everything! This is no lie. Then Mr. Santos came over and offered the list of specials they had available for our Sunday palates. At first we all opted to skipping an appetizer. How quickly did we change our minds after we heard the yummy treats they had in store for their patrons. As our mouths watered and our stomach roared in preparation for what's to hit or palates we were entered with jokes that us laughing to tears. As our dishes rolled in one by one, we watched the boats as they rolled into the bay. When our entrees came, omg, the plates looked too beautiful to devour. I personally wanted to frame my dinner. Lol. As we ate, Mr. Santos entertained us with more jokes. His warmth and professionalism made us truly feel as though we were at home sitting around our own dining room table. As my family and I celebrated my niece & her husband's 3 yr anniversary, to top off the evening, the staff sang a celebratory song for the fairly newly weds. We entered the doors at 5:30pm and we left at 9:46pm. We truly didn't want to leave but then we realized, we all have work on Monday. If you are in doubt about going to Pier 95, don't think twice! Go! You will not be disappointed. Nestled near the Freeport Nautical Mile, this one in a million restaurant will make you forget about the chaos of NY and allow you to relax and enjoy a very well prepared 3 course meal. Call them. Be prepared to be wowed. When I find an restaurant that provides top notch service, I try to my best give them a shout out and let others know about it. The restaurant industry has changed a lot over the past 3 years. Pier 95 deserves 3 million stars. Thank you Mr. Santos for making my family feel loved and appreciated. Ok .... I love Romero and Jose Manuel already and I haven't even seen my food. Arrived just in time and worth it! Warm crusty bread to start. I ordered the skirt steak with shrimp stuffed with crabmeat, accompanied by perfect mini-shoestring potatoes that tasted as if they were fried in sweet butter and olive oil. The Portuguese Codfish cakes were as light as air encased in a crispy little wrapper. Wow! The Lobster Paella was superb. Always a fun treat to stop by Pier 95 for a memorable meal. The staff & owners truly love what they do and I feel warmly welcomed every visit, like I'm stopping by a good friend's home. Was dining alone tonight to get out of the house and celebrate my graduation and Tiago made me feel right at home. This was my first time eating indoors in a restaurant since October and I could not have been happier. The dining room was immaculate and even smelled fresh & clean. Dividers were placed between tables and the atmosphere felt very safe. The octopus starter was perfectly cooked and the garlic & oil sauce made a satisfying dip for the warm rolls. I had a really tasty fish dish, and a delicious blueberry tartlet for desert. Definitely ask which desserts are made in-house, its impressive (and seems increasingly rare) that a restaurant their size makes homemade desserts! In the warmer months they have an expanded patio with great marina views. Depending on the season I have seen wild swans nearby too. Overall Pier 95 is an upscale and relaxing option away from the craziness of the Mile, highly recommend. read more

Had dinner here on a random Wednesday night and I don't know how I've never been here before. This restaurant is upscale and the food is fresh, presentation beautiful and service didn't skip a beat. We had raw trio for an app with arugula/ pear salad. I had the scallops for an entree and they were so flavorful, I wonder how I could achieve that at home. Say a prayer for me. Go and try the scallops, you'll know what I mean. We will definitely go back just keep in mind they are closed just for the month of January. In summer months, you can take your boat or your friends boat. Big recommend here. read more

Our service was okay, nothing special. My chicken and shrimp dish was dry, but my boyfriend loved his paella dish. Did not like the fact that a spider was on my drink, photo attached - and that the waitress hesitated to do something about it when I told her (the sangria was good though). as a person who can't go vegan bc love for seafood is too great, this place is... perfect. Their appetizers, mains, desserts... everything is so flavorful and just.. delicious. The service is great, and the view is amazing too! My boyfriend's family always goes here for celebratory events, and the owners know what each of the family member likes, and are so friendly, like we're all a big family. I've only been here twice but both times were excellent. I've only been there on week nights and then it's a great quiet place for a excellent meal with a beautiful view! I had the arugula salad as an appetizer and the skirt steak topped with shrimp stuffed with crab. Excellent!! I think that may have been a special though so I'm not sure it's always on the menu. One of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. It was a great experience from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. The grilled octopus was delicious and the fried calamari was full of flavor. Everything was on the pricey side but the quality of the food was great and exceeded my expectations so it was worth it. We had the coffee cheesecake and the creme brûlée cheesecake...both to die for! The mojito was perfect. Last but not least, the waiter, Jose, was the icing on the cake. First off, you in an greeted by a typical local restaurant bar area. But just after that is the beautiful sun-drenched room looking out into the marina, bay and marshlands. Just beautiful. Best of all, it's not in the crowded, parking space limited Woodcleft Ave. Secondly, super friendly and professional staff. Thirdly, and most important ... the food. My daughter had the lobster which, as long as you cook it right you can't screw up. So that was perfect. My father has some Portuguese fish special that was out of this world. Personally I had the Portobello mushroom special for my main, and it was delicious. Can't wait to come back. read more

Tiano is a great server. He greeted us at the front door, he waited our table and closed out at the bar with us. The fish specials are amazing like the branzino fish. The cocktails are made with love. The view is right on the marina, you see all the boats parked. The area is quieter than the nautical mile. It is fairly close to the nautical mile in Freeport but on the other street, it's open for parking and walking. read more

Very nice place and good food. It overlooks the bay, so it is very scenic. The service leaves something to be desired depending on who you get as a waiter. During my last visit we had a waiter, who didn't speak very good English and would abruptly Interrupt our conversation without excusing himself. No manners what so ever. Following our meal he asked us if we wanted coffee, or dessert and we declined. I asked him for the check, because we needed to leave. My sister and I ate here Thursday evening. We had requested an outdoor table but then we thought maybe the weather might be too chilly and would we be able to move inside so we called and they said yes they could accommodate us inside in the event it was too chilly outdoors. Well we wound up eating outdoors. They have one small deck off the restaurant but where the parking lot is they took a section of their parking lot which is off the street and apparently built a deck and there were about eight tables there and it's right on the pier looking at the boats with the water and the ducks going by it was just lovely. They also have propane heaters that can be moved as close to your table as you're comfortable with to keep you nice and toasty. And by the way indoors is set up so that if the weather gets very cold I wouldn't hesitate to eat here because tables or distance there is plastic or plexiglass between the tables and ceilings are very high. The food was wonderful. We shared an order of clams casino that was very tasty I had the Dirado special which was wonderful and my sister had the seafood chopping which she enjoyed. The service was excellent our server was very knowledgeable very polite and rather funny. I will not hesitate to return here!! read more

If outside seating is not your preference...the inside of the restaurant also offers floor to ceiling waterfront views! The garlic shrimp appetizer is phenomenal...I had the sole in a lemon white wine sauce for my main and an almond tart for dessert! Everything was super flavorful and cooked to perfection!
