I was told that I would have to pay for the repair and replacement of the wire which I never authorized in the first service, which I informed her it should have never been replaced because I had only asked for the silver lobster claw addition to my necklace. To make it worse she said that the guy who did it wasn't around and that it might take up to two weeks to get it back! Or maybe I could just go to the Lakewood location... I told her that I had been trying to call the store. I told her I've been calling her location in Downey but the number is disconnected... She tried to give me the 10% coupon and was as pleasant as possible, I didn't get angry nor fight, I simply informed her that it's okay I had already left a negative review about the situation but had hoped for a solution not involving me to further pay for this gentleman's mistake. I didn't leave my necklace nor feel inclined to pay more for terrible Overpriced services. She kindly replied to the review comment that I could go to Michael's and buy the wire myself for next to nothing (which is true and what I did as a solution) compared to what fast fix charges. I paid $10 at Michael's for a 96 strand wire and it took 15 minutes to reassemble the necklace without the tools typically required. I did my best to keep things in a positive light for myself and fast fix but the store has failed to provide good/quality material and service. A short time later I received a call and voicemail from a number I didn't recognize and forgot about it until today when I realized that someone had reached out to discuss this. Read it yourself, as if I'm in trouble and must call this person back. No thanks, I tried in person and was already further let down as a paying customer. I owe fast fix nothing and the service is reflected honestly in my review. It's their reputation and responsibility to make things right. I am sure that I was called in regard to taking my review down, but it shall remain to inform the public because it is too little and too late. Seriously my concerns have been swept under the rug. I feel that I was already taken advantage of by the overpriced service, the lack of communication, the fact that an inferior product has replaced the superior product it came with and that the warranty is laughable. Lastly to be told it's wear and tear on a light weight product is ludicrous. I've had this necklace for years and the original wire never broke or frayed but it's my fault when I barely wear it. I explained my situation and he looked at my finger and right away noticed that it was swollen. He said he could help with cutting the rings off. He was able to get them off quickly, and although I was relieved to get them off after being stuck, I also felt sad that they had to be cut off. While getting the rings cut off, I got hot due to being nervous and James had me take a seat and gave me some water. I really appreciated how kind he was and that he understood having my rings cut off can be a bit emotional. Since my finger was swollen, I had to wait until the swelling went down to return to be sized for my rings to be repaired. James provided me with a bag to keep the rings safe. I returned two weeks later to make sure the swelling was completely gone. This time I was helped by Linda and she was amazing. She had me try on different rings to make sure we got the correct ring size. She provided me with options on how I could repair my wedding ring if I needed to change the design. She informed me that the store has a texting system which makes communicating with their customers easier. This really was convenient for me to get updates on the repairs for my rings. They had originally informed me that it could take 3-4 weeks depending on how many orders they are working on, so I was pleasantly surprised when my rings were ready in two weeks. When I went to pick up the ring, I was informed--after the work was already completed--that additional prongs had been replaced on both sides of the ring and that I now owed an extra $240. I was never contacted, informed, or asked for approval before this additional work was done. The explanation given was that some of the prong work was necessary due to resizing. However, after waiting over 40 minutes at pickup because the ring was "in billing," I was then told the resize had actually been forgotten entirely and had to be done on the spot. This made the justification for the unapproved prong work even more concerning. After calling twice and initially being brushed off by sales associates, I finally spoke with the owner, who acknowledged that I had not consented to the extra work and agreed to waive the additional charge. While I appreciate the owner ultimately correcting the billing, the situation itself should never have occurred. Jewelry--especially a wedding band--is deeply personal. Any additional work, design changes, or charges should never be performed without explicit customer approval. Between the unapproved services, forgotten resize, and billing delay, the experience felt disorganized and stressful. I would urge future customers to proceed with caution, insist on written estimates, and require approval before any additional work is done.
