Been going to Seaside for years and have passed by this place many times, just never stopped in. Decided today to stop in on our way back home and it was fine! Nothing too crazy, decent food and good service. Prices are so-so. My man got a chicken skillet in which he gave it 3/5. I got scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and two biscuits that I would rate 2.5/5. Not bad at all, I would consider average.

Had read that this place is an institution in these parts, so we naturally had to give it a try. We stopped in on a Sunday around 11 and didn't mind sitting at the counter so we were seated right away. The place could have been a little cleaner, and prices were kinda high so I knocked off a star for that. But the food was good. Typical diner food. Probably a one and done for us, but, it fit the bill for a down home breakfast.

Far from home and I need of comfort food at a local diner? Pig 'N Pancake is your spot. It hits all your quintessential greasy diner must-haves. I recommend trying some of the more unique local dishes, like the Swedish Pancakes, to get a flavor of the local Astoria culture!

We've passed many Pig N Pancake Restaurants on our travels through Oregon. But we finally decided to stop and try this one after our overnight stay in Astoria. Our server was very sweet, the place was clean and had a country feel to it. They even have a teeny little gift shop at the front and I bought a couple of birthday cards that I needed. They have a smaller bite breakfast for seniors which we got. It was two pancakes, an egg and either a piece of sausage or bacon. Everything was very good. We usually eat in mom and pop restaurants, but we would definitely consider eating at a Pig N Pancake again. It was a good experience overall.

Traveling through Astoria and stopped here for breakfast. Service was quick and attentive. Breakfast was tasty. Got the bacon, eggs and pancake breakfast. Pancakes were excellent. Bacon was crispy and good. Great breakfast place. Restaurant was clean. Husband had eggs, bacon and hash browns and said it was good too.

This is a classic diner atmosphere with a fun theme. It also happened that I was wearing my pig t-shirt. Nice view of the Astoria-Megler bridge while you eat! Plenty of breakfast options and a good cup of coffee. I went with the black-bean cheeseburger and upgraded to the gluten free bun. The bun comes warmed in a plastic pouch, which is probably good so it doesn't dry out. While the burger patty was a bit mushy, it had a great taste. Next time I'd probably skip the bun completely. Great service, very attentive.

Friendly staff here, service is good and welcoming. I overheard a staff said most of places in Astoria closed at 5 pm, I'm so appreciate that Pig 'N Pancake opens from 6 am to 8 pm with a big menu. If you sit by the window you'll have a good view of ocean. You can also get some cute magnet and funny socks by the counter as souvenir. I had the grilled wild salmon for my dinner. The quality of salmon was good and fresh, the texture was firm and juicy, no extra seasoning added to it, so I can manage how much salt added myself. I added a bit of salt and it was already tasty. Those boil veggies next to salmon were surprisingly tasty too, or maybe I was just too hungry that day. Because we had a good dinner here, we decided to come back next day for breakfast. I had vegetarian omelet and my partner had blueberry pancakes. Both of dishes came with big portions. I like my omelette a lot. Topped with Swiss cheese, it was tender and fluffy. It was also my first time trying a bran muffin, it wasn't as smooth or moist as a regular one, but it came with a natural and Katy kind of sweet. I like it a lot but too bad I couldn't finish it after the omelette. I would highly recommend this place to my friends if they were planning to come to Astoria.

Food: Pretty Good breakfast! I had my usual Bacon and Eggs with Pancakes, my partner had Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs. Everything was cooked well, it was a good stop on our way to Newport. Service: the service was adequate, nothing terribly remarkable that stood out for me. Ambiance: Typical Diner Fare, The restaurant was clean, there were kids in the restaurant but no screaming, I felt it was very pleasant. Summary: This is a good stop to get pancakes, coffee, and all the diner style trimmings.

My girlfriend found this spot before we headed back to Seattle after another nice stay in Astoria. It's an old establishment and busy in the morning, so we decided to go get in front at the bar. I got bacon and eggs with pancakes. The bacon is HUGE and super crispy. By far it was the best bacon I have had in years. My girlfriend had the pecan waffle with sides of sausage and enjoyed how much they sprinkled on top. I was happy with how everything came out and will definitely go back.

We were seated at a window table, which was great. We ordered a couple drinks and a couple appetizers. The crab dip and calamari were amazing. Probably the best crab dip I've ever had. For main courses, I ordered the seared scallops and added prawns to the dish as well as a side of their chowder. So good. Melt in your mouth scallops. The chowder was some of the best I've had. My wife ordered pasta Alfredo with shrimp. She said it was amazing as well. And my daughter ordered the Boullabaisse. I've never heard of it but it's a seafood bowl that is delicious and has many seafoods inside.. almost like a soup. She loved it. Dessert was a chocolate torte and a cheesecake slice. Again, amazing. This is a must go to restaurant if you want upscale in Astoria, Oregon. It is well worth the price. And you cannot beat the atmosphere and service. It is exceptional.

We were surprised that we couldn't find more seafood restaurants for being on the coast.

The Knot provided the perfect combination of both. The food was excellent! In particular, we absolutely loved the pickled rockfish, salmon chowder, salted chocolate caramel custard and house-made citrus NA ginger ale. We happily enjoyed our meal while watching ships, seals, birds and ocean life. The server told us about the ships and even a podcast report to learn more about passing vessel traffic. It simply made me want to return for a longer and slower visit! Maybe to sit by the fire pit out front while watching life go by. A bonus was a (free) EV hook up adjacent to the property.

We got our bread and basically finished it before we got our drinks. The bartender was new and she was looking at physical recipes to make each of our drinks. Im glad we weren't in a hurry. The view is outstanding and you can sit outside in the nice weather which we had that day because the inside is very small. We even saw a sea lion swimming off the pier as we enjoyed our drinks. A little pricey for what you get but overall still good but not somewhere I would return to with all the other options in the area.
