Such a great speakeasy vibe. The atmosphere is super cool--moody lighting, great music, and a space that feels tucked away in the best way. Their happy hour tacos are so good, definitely one of the highlights. And I'm obsessed with the plant wall... it adds this fresh, stylish touch that makes the whole place feel even more inviting. A perfect spot to hang out, sip, and snack.

The service was phenomenal and they make great drinks. Good place to stop in for cocktails and good company.

Was going to check out Coabana for drinks, and we saw a group go through a side door into Pigtails, a speakeasy bar. No reservations were needed and you could simply walk in. We were greeted by welcoming staff and ordered an Insomnia and a Black Magic Woman, which did not disappoint. We just stopped in for drinks before a show. Service was quick and attentive to getting us food or drinks. Cute bar and a great place to hang out if you are in the area.

Such a beautiful atmosphere, ambient lighting and such lively plants on the walks. The full bar with bottles on display looked like a library of liquor. The bartender Karly, was radiant, kind, and very great at suggesting my boyfriend I in the right direction of flavor to savor. She suggested the Rose glasses for me and Son Of a Peach for him as he's a whiskey drinker The drinks were more delicious than described on the menu I feel because Karly was so good at her mixology. She was very fast at creating the cocktails and very friendly. This was a perfect date night experience and I'd highly recommend it.

First of all I cannot understate the quality of the service I received. Eulalio had other tables, but we consistently got our drinks and food quickly without errors, even when they were on the complicated side. He is a true boon to the business! The restaurant itself is hidden inside another called Coabana, but there is a door clearly labeled Cocktails to get to it. Through the door the hustle and bustle of the busy restaurant outside gives way to a cocktail bar that feels much more intimate, with dark lighting and quieter music than is playing outside. It was perfect to converse and enjoy drinks with friends! This time we went with some friends, and each of us could not stop talking about how good everything was! We started with In To The Blue shots for the table, which were so good we wished we had sipped them. Then we ordered our first round of drinks and food. We shared a plate of nachos and they had the perfect balance of toppings and chips, then my partner and I ordered some tacos and a Cubano Sammie. The sandwich was delicious, much better than the average Cubano I've come across in Phoenix. The tacos were also great, and $11 for 3 was a steal! Our friends also got tacos, which they enjoyed. My partner ordered Cupid's Dagger and the Insomniac to drink, and she loved both of them! Cupid's Dagger was also served with a bubble of smoke and it was on a little silver tray, which was cool. I ordered the Son of a Peach and Femme Fatale, and they were both delicious. The Femme Fatale was also served inside of a wooden cake tray filled with smoke, which was a very cool experience and added to the flavor of the drink. All in all this is not just a restaurant, but an experience. And if you have some money to go out in downtown Phoenix, I would say this experience is not one to miss! If you can, try to get a table with Eulalio because he is excellent!

Overall a great experience! Came here the other night to grab a little bite and some drinks. The oysters were really good and the nachos were fantastic. The nachos had some beautifully charred pork on top with this delicious chimichurri sauce. I decided to be adventurous and try the mystery punch, which wasn't too bad either. Only negative was the service could have been better. The place was not very busy but our server was never around. We ordered some food but when the oysters came out we still had no plates or silverware, which took awhile for someone to bring.

Cool bar that was hard to find. It's marked on the outside, but you kind of walk through a kitchen then into the quaint little bar. You enter the bar from Central Ave just south of the hot dog place. There were about 8 of us and some weren't drinking and it had a nice mix of cocktails and mocktails. I had the Mezcal Cocktail (I can't remember the name) and it was delicious. We stayed about 45 mins or so and enjoyed the back corner booth. Service was great as he kept checking on us. It was fairly busy, but not overly packed on a Friday night. We walked right in and got the last table. I'd go again and try some more unique cocktails. Fun spot!

Actually love this "hidden" speakeasy in Downtown Phoenix. Located close to the Footprint Center area and other bars and restaurants. We only ordered a few drinks here from their Winter Wonderland menu and they were all tasty. The Jell-O shots were pretty good too. We got seated pretty quickly at close to 11pm at night. Our server was prompt. Quite pleased with the bar and a decent spot to hang out. I do need to try their oysters next time. A solid spot and would come back!

While not quite a speakeasy, it does have the fun aspect of a hidden entrance. You enter through the "meat market" and got brought the door labeled "cocktails". Inside is small but has a really cool vibe. The living wall behind the bar is different and an eye catcher. Drinks are top notch and so delicious. We had an appetizer and a dessert with our drinks. Everything was awesome and we'd love to visit again. read more

I'm so excited about this place! Part of me wants to bring all my friends, post and tag on IG and tell everyone. The other part of me wants to bring my friends "blindfolded", post and tag on IG but not list the name or location LOL it's such a new place and pretty hidden it's not at the point of being crowded, but selfishly I don't want it to get there either. I've been there 3 times already and they've only been open for a week and a half. We sat at the bar and ordered snacks. With this being a sister bar of Whining Pig, I was surprised at the amount of items on the menu. Then I was even more pleased at how delicious everything tasted. Ashlee was our bartender for the first day and she took care of us, was able to explain all the drinks and provide details on the food. Pigtails is a really interesting speakeasy bar to get drinks at. The music is whatever but I do like concept inside and you also have the option to order food. I ordered the old fashioned 15 yr drink and a Peruvian affair cocktail. Both were really smooth and got me the buzz that I needed. There's no reservations here so if you're coming on the weekend, I recommend you put your name down on the list and then walk around cityscape or grab drinks elsewhere to kill time. read more

I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to the staff at Pigtails! I lost my wallet downtown back in January and was convinced I lost everything but sure enough over 2 months later my wallet was found at (or nearby) Pigtails and they reached out to me and mailed it back no questions. I had everything inside, all my cards, all my cash, everything untouched. I wasn't able to make my reservation that night but I will definitely be coming back, thank you again! read more

What a great spot! The bartenders are super nice and they make awesome drinks! We stopped in for cocktails after dinner and were greeted with an expansive menu with lots of delicious descriptions at the bar. We each ordered something different and they were all delicious and garnished beautifully. The decor and interior design is beautiful and you can tell that they really put effort into making this a hidden gem. Would absolutely recommend and we will certainly be back! read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! Cool AF. Went this afternoon for happy hour with a friend. I wondered why this lil place sucking oysters and with shrimp on ice was randomly downtown. Well if you walk in, there is a door that has a sign that says "cocktails." When you open that door... YASSSS! It's dark, it's nicely decorated with a HUGE live plant wall, it's small and the drinks and food are DELICIOUS!!! The Cauliflower, the Mediterranean board, the nachos. I had the Prickly Pear Collins, not bad... It reminded me of a cough syrup from my childhood, for some reason. . OMG, the service! Those ladies are THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST! Thank you. Who woulda thought a butcher shop would be an amazing hang out?! Pigtails checked all the boxes! Our bartender was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great suggestions. We had the oysters, shrimp, and ceviche which were all so fresh with great flavor. Next we tried a flatbread, which we could have eaten all night! The drinks were refreshing and perfect balance of flavors. The only thing I'm contemplating is if I want to reorder what I got or try everything else next time I go in. They just opened two weeks ago and are a little hard to stumble upon. But yay us! It's a small area but so well put together. Dimly lit. They have a wall of plants. The bar top looks like the aluminum on a plane. The manager, Bud, is amazing and makes the BEST drinks, and suggestions. They even have WiFi. Password is on the board inside. Y'all. What a divine FIND! Found this place while walking to our hotel on the strip. The neon cocktails sign is what drew me in. Cocktails were delicious!!! The food not so much. But because I was so impressed by their cocktails and presentation they get a lovely four solidly stars. Would highly recommend as a pre or post dinner fix. read more

I loved the whole vibe of this place. It was pretty easy to find. Walk into the oyster bar and go through the door that says Cocktails. I can imagine this place getting packed on the weekends but it was perfect on Sunday right when they opened. Only about four people in the whole place. The cocktails are pricey but they are SO GOOD. Go during happy hour and get $1 off oysters. read more

We went for happy hour, the drink on the left was pretty strong in my opinion but drinkable. The drink on the right was very tasty and sweet. This is a super chill place to drink casually & to have a nice conversation. It is not a big area so seats are limited. The host was very amazing ! He was always checking up on us and making sure we had something to drink at all times. I wanted to try an oyster for the first time & it was pretty delicious. read more

This amazing speakeasy is such a fun place to visit. The drinks and staff are equally amazing. However, if you do sit at the bar, you may not be socially distant. All of the tables have the plexiglass dividers to allow for safe distancing. There are even outdoor tables if you ask! Take a chance and try their seafood and always check the blackboard for drinks and food items that may not be on the menu! I highly recommend the mystery punch if you can't decide which drink is your favorite. If you like fruit forward the Guava Be Kidding is fabulous! read more

First of all, there was definitely not "Cockroaches, Everywhere!" Alejandro G. Is trippin on something else. Never seen anything like that. This place is super vibey, with balanced cocktails, and knowledgeable bartenders. It was hard to find but 10/10 would recommend. read more

My first time here, I wasn't aware that this place would be so popular or packed, I suggest maybe calling to see if you can book a reservation we had a 30 min wait. -- The atmosphere was great it was very chic place, very cool wall with the live plants and the bar. The host was great, she was very nice an respectful she had great suggestions when it came to the drinks. Me and a few friends all got different drinks and a shareable nachos. towards the end of the night the host took a great while with getting our bill and our cards and had a little difficulty for some odd reason she charged one of our cards twice ?? She explained and scurried away as fast as she could which was weird because she was super sweet... If you visit, I suggest having an open mind, these are not your typical drinks, also I personally did not like the two drinks I got. The first one with the orange and mint was very very bitter and tart it also tasted like there was fresh ginger in it, it looked beautiful but as far as taste, I would now get it. Second round I opted for the mystery punch and that too was a very tart drink it was slightly sweeter then the drink I had before. I really wanted to step out of my comfort zone, but next time I will stick to my usual. read more

It was so exciting to find this little speakeasy. We were actually just walking by and noticed a tiny little oyster bar that made no sense at all. We decided to see what was behind the kitchen swing door and there it was...so fun!! We left the drinks up to the bartender and that was a great decision! Fantastic! I've been wanting to visit this speakeasy for quite a while and finally made it. We arrived about 6:30pm on a Monday night and had the place to ourselves for quite a while (hopefully that was a fluke). I ordered a seasonal drink, the vegan Coquito, which had hints of cinnamon, coconut, and vanilla. It was like Christmas in a glass. I also tried the margherita flatbread which was definitely the best I've ever had. Our servers were kind and very attentive and made sure to follow safety protocols. This place sounded like a good idea.. The place was super cute and small and it was nice to not be in a super packed bar. There are about 5 tables and bar seating so when we got there we had to wait 45 minutes. If you're looking for free parking, you're going to have a long walk. Outside of that, you'll have to pay for parking in a garage or metered street parking. Ambiance (4/5): Hint hint. Idle Hands is located inside Devil's Hideaway. A true speakeasy shouldn't have signage outside indicating its location. Unfortunately, there's a sign for Idle Hands outside of Devil's Hideaway which takes away the sense of mystery and intrigue that a true speakeasy provides. Outside of this hiccup, it's a cool speakeasy. It's intimate, with 10 or so seats at the bar and about 10 seats in booths facing the bar. There's a projector screen behind the bar that had mystical motion graphics the first time I stopped by (thinking wizards) and Halloween motion graphics the second time (with it being a day before the holiday). There were some other Halloween decorations up. The only area of improvement? The music often doesn't match the vibe. A lot of the music they were playing on my last visit was Irish music that would be fitting for a pub. Service (4/5): I had the same bartender each time. He knows how to make a good drink and is pretty efficient. When you close out, he only gives you the merchant copy. Which is a pet peeve of mine. Let me get that customer copy too. But overall, a good experience. Especially at a college bar. Food (N/A): I've only had drinks both times. Idle Hands actually doesn't have food, but Devil's Hideaway does. I was impressed with the creativity of the menu, both in terms of the ingredients used and the fusion of flavors. I've had a different cocktail each time, and they've all been great. My favorite was one served in a box filled with smoke. Talk about a cool presentation! The hallmarks of a solid speakeasy are elevated cocktails, nice ambiance (dimly lit), an intimate space, and mystery/intrigue. While the intrigue is lacking at Idle Hands, and the music can be improved, they hit it out of the park in the other areas. Wifey and I had brunch reservations and were seated right away. For their menu, they have a nice selection of uniquely crafted items to choose from. I got the Pyro Cheeseburger, she got the Sweet Potato Hash, and we got the Ube Panna Cotta for dessert. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had a great time here. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Definitely consider booking your next table here and you will not regret it!

Stopped into Pigtails Cocktail Bar with a group of 11 while celebrating a friend's birthday, and I'm so glad we did. The vibe was super chill, and we lucked out with a booth tucked in the back corner - perfect for our crew. I ordered the Sticky Situation (mezcal, mango, piment, lemon, coconut) and it was absolutely delicious - bright, citrusy, and refreshing with just the right balance of smoke and sweetness. Easily one of my favorite cocktails of the night. Service was top-notch. Our waiter brought great energy, kept the waters flowing right when we sat down, and checked in often without ever hovering. Even one of the bartenders got in on the fun - I was doing a scavenger hunt and needed to tell a stranger a joke, and he happily played along. We only stayed for a round before heading to our next stop, but I'd definitely go back. Between the unique drinks, friendly staff, and cool vibe, this spot is a gem in Phoenix. One unique perk is that the food comes from Cobana next door, which definitely gives this spot a creative edge. While the service wasn't bad, it was on the slower side. This speakeasy was a bit hard to find at first as they tend to be but we finally found it. The drinks were spot on good with a pretty presentation, the food tasty, our waiter was cool, loved the decor. (Next time I'll take photos of that part) I would describe the atmosphere like Boho mixed with a late night chill NYC bar vibes if that makes any sense read more

My wife had her device that gives her insulin fall out of her purse and was missing. She is type 1 diabetic so this was a major issue that had her really distressed and panicked. 10/10 would recommend this place. A great place for some fresh oysters and drinks! My wife is always nervous when I order oysters at restaurants in Arizona. Didn't realize this was a speakeasy until we tried to find it and were like .... but where is it haha. Once we figured out what we were going we were greeted by warm and friendly staff and a hype atmosphere. The drink menu was bomb and we looooved the MYSTERY PUNCH. We stayed about 45 mins or so and enjoyed the back corner booth. Service was great as he kept checking on us. It was fairly busy, but not overly packed on a Friday night. We walked right in and got the last table. I'd go again and try some more unique cocktails. Fun spot! read more
