TLDR; Well known for their New England clam chowder. Visit the location at Pike Place to sample even more kinds. Happy hour everyday from 4PM-7PM. The line for the Pike Place location was ridiculously long so we made our way to another one. This one is at the top floor of a shopping center and when we visited, a lot of it was still under construction. Almost didn't notice that it was happy hour but thankfully we did. We ordered a small chowder of each kind to try all that they had. At this location, there were only 4 different kinds but I know at Pike Place location there's almost double that. Out of the four chowders that we got, my favorites had to be the New England Clam Chowder and the Seafood Bisque. Both of them were thick and creamy with a great seafood flavor. My least favorite was the Manhattan Clam Chowder. Probably because this isn't the chowder that I'm used to...but it just tasted like a watery tomato soup. Chicken and corn chowder was just alright, I didn't feel like it was anything special. Next time, I'd probably try to line up for the Pike Place location to try all the other ones we missed out. read more

Craving some chowder on a cold November day and didn't want to wait in the long lineup at the pike place location so walked over to this location located on the 4th floor of pacific place. This place has the best chowder I have had in my life. Hands down. I tried the sampler to try everything I could, and have to say that my favorite is the seared scallop at #1 and original at #2. That said, all of them are great! It's not too expensive, but not cheap either. Definitely worth a visit. The line was about 20 minutes or less and moved pretty quickly. Once you are at the counter, service is fast and you receive the food as you are paying. It is very busy and that is both because of the popularity of the place, but also due to it being located at Pike's Place. I didn't try the other location, though there is one only a few blocks away.
