We have been hearing a lot about Pillow Talk so we finally gave it a try and ordered their popular egg sandwich, Egg Heaven, to go. First off, it actually traveled really well, which I honestly did not expect. Nothing was soggy and it still held together nicely by the time we ate it. We went to Japan recently and got a little obsessed with their egg sandwiches, so I could not help but compare. Pillow Talk's version was good and scratched the itch, though I would say Japan still wins for me, how could it not, lol ;) One thing I really appreciated was that it was not overloaded with mayo. A lot of places here tend to go overboard, but this one felt more balanced and let the egg flavor come through. The only downside was the portion size. It was a bit small for the price, so it did not feel like the best value. Still, it is a solid option if you are craving that style of egg sandwich without hopping on a plane.
This place was such a great cafe. They have so much quality things to offer, and it all looks so good!! I ordered a Honeycomb Latte and it came with actual sweet honeycombs. I also ordered these mini cakes which were layered and just flavored to perfection. Lastly, I got the egg sandwich which was perfectly cooked. I couldn't get enough of it. Will be coming back soon.
Ordered UberEats and my order arrived in less than an hour! Menu had a good variety of sandwiches, cakes, and drinks. Pricing was pricey. Most of the cakes cost $9+ and the sandwiches were $10+! Got the Egg Heaven Sandwich ($13) and it was pretty much an egg salad sandwich. The bread didn't taste fresh and was quite dry. I was expecting the bread to be soft and fluffy but that wasn't the texture at all. The egg salad was quite heavy on mayonnaise and had too much pepper for my preference. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the sandwich unfortunately. The Sunny Side Up (Coconut Mango Mousse Cake) - $9.50 - was delicious! Love how it was nicely packaged in a cute tin! The mango mousse was so creamy and I could tell it was made with sweet mangos! The cake was so moist and fresh. The coconut cream on top made it even more delicious! Definitely recommend! The Tiramisu ($9.50) was so good! It was so creamy and every bite was nicely layered with mascarpone mousse/coffee jelly and topped with cocoa powder. It wasn't too sweet and the cream didn't feel too heavy. The cake was very fresh and soft! Overall, I didn't enjoy the sandwich but the cakes were incredible and definitely worth getting!
Cute little place in Pasadena! They do sell sandwiches and drinks but I was interested in the mini cakes so that's all I got. First off, it's $9!!! For a little cake!!! But part of me justifies that price because it comes in a nice metal tin. Have I found use for the tin yet? No. But it's a nice tin so I'm keeping it anyways. Pink Lover ($9)--Has raspberry jelly, lychee mousse, and rose mousse. When eating I didn't really know what the layers were besides the jelly, so had to search it up. I don't know if I'd be able to pinpoint lychee and rose but as a whole the flavor was really good!! The jelly was like... a slab of cold jelly very texturally different from mousse/chiffon but I guess it's made like that on purpose? The chiffon was soft, kind of dry if I'm being picky, but not noticeable enough to make me stop eating. Overall I liked it! The flavor was really good! It's light and not too sweet. I'll be back if I'm in the area! Curious about their other flavors!!
Came here after checking out Descanso Gardens and was worried they'd sell out so I placed an online order. Picking up was smooth and easy but parking was awful. We had to circle the area a few times to find street parking. It would be nice if they had a designated parking lot in addition to street parking because some of the businesses around there had that. There was seating inside despite the store being pretty small, so my bf and I just ate inside. The cakes were pretty good! I got the Matcha Yuzu and he got the Kinako Chestnut. I couldn't really taste the yuzu until I tried only the first layer of cream. The matcha overpowers the yuzu a lot because there was two layers of matcha cream and one layer of matcha cake. Still really good and can taste that the matcha is high quality! As for the kinako chestnut, we couldn't taste the chestnut much but there were some chestnut pieces hidden in the cake! I would love to try the peach one as well but this place is quite far. Hopefully I'm in the area when they have the peach seasonal again.
We have been dreaming about the egg sandwiches ever since we came back to the states. We had the egg sando almost everyday while on our trip to Tokyo, so when I came across Pillow Talk, I had to try it obvi! Located on Lake Ave, across from Erewhon, parking can be difficult like people have mentioned. I ordered ahead and picked up. The " Egg Heaven" Sandwich ($11) was good... filling was nice, but the bread was not great. I also tried some of the Chiffon cakes. The ube one was the best one we tried, but all were very nice and not too sweet. Service was good.
Cute little local spot. I've heard good things about the tin cakes. There's some seats and it's pretty quiet it would be great to study/work. Pink lover and strawberry shortcake were light and had a well balanced cream/cake ratio. This cake will not weigh you down instead you'll want to keep eating more. We also really enjoyed our drinks as well. The matcha is very high quality and with the ube foam it was fantastic. My friend also loved her coffee drink and said it was pretty strong!
Came here for the first time and I'd definitely make the drive to come again. The barista was so nice and helpful. I got the spanish latte and it was so delicous! There's plenty of seating and they don't charge for milk alternatives. It's so cute and clean with lots of cute plants! Would love to study here
My second time at pillow talk and I was a bit disappointed by their mango matcha and the strawberry shortcake. The strawberry shortcake was very dry even paired with the cream but the taste was good. A very strawberry syrup taste. But for 9 dollars it's expensive for how small it is. It's definitely more for the looks than the taste. They originally forgot our drink but I can't blame them because it seemed like only one person was working and making everything. We got the mango matcha which barely had any mango flavor. The matcha part was good though. Overall still a great place to chat, study, or work since it's not super busy and has outlets! I loved the natural lighting in the cafe too!
Pillow Talk is a cute little cafe for Japanese themed snacks, matcha, and coffee. The beans here are lightly sweet, nutty, and just subtly bold. Finding parking isn't the hardest on the street, but it is limited to 1 hour (but thankfully only $1) The items here are fairly well priced and not overly expensive, and the atmosphere is cute, warm, and earthy. Need a drink with a milk substitute? There's thankfully no extra charge for those. Overall, it's an amazing place to work. The only area of improvement would be Wi-Fi - these speeds are abysmally slow, too slow to even browse the web. Other than that, everything about this cafe provided a relaxing atmosphere, a good step away from the busy streets of Pasadena. Best time to visit? Around noon, sit by the window, and there's just just the right amount of sunlight to brighten your day!
It was such a joy finding this place! The decor is very inviting, it's an intimate space where you can easily see yourself doing schoolwork or catching up with a friend. The main reason for my visit was to feed my Egg sando addiction so I ordered an Egg Heaven. It was definitely tasty, it seemed to be on regular white bread not milk bread but they toasted it which gave it a nice texture. The egg yolk in the egg halves were not as gooey as I would like but really the flavor was just amazing so I didn't mind! The matcha was one of the best I've ever had! They were very heavy handed with the matcha powder and it tastes like a very good quality matcha. On a whim I also grabbed a black sesame cake because it sounded amazing. It wasn't life changing but it was enjoyable for sure, good black sesame flavor and it wasn't overly sweet which I very much appreciated. The lady helping me was also incredibly sweet and welcoming which just adds to the inviting atmosphere of the place. Highly recommend checking them out!
First off, just know that the parking situation is typical of this end of Lake Avenue-- it sucks. There's no lot and there's only metered street parking. The shop is cute in that clean, well-kept, minimalist Asian sort of way. We were there for egg sandwiches. We got both their standard egg salad sandwich and a tamagoyaki sandwich We liked everything we had. The tamago-yaki is the dashi-flavored type. It was neither overly, nor cloyingly sweet. Their egg salad was fresh and nicely seasoned. (my wife actually makes my favorite egg salad, TBH -- her secret is Colman's mustard powder haha) There is one weird non-complaint critique from the both of us-- There was too much good stuff between the bread. I know it sounds weird, but we thought the egg to bread ration was off, as the bread they use was also very good! Other than the sucky parking and the over-generosity in the fillings department, the place is awesome. The workers there are also super nice and helpful. The beverages we ordered were both really good, especially my espresso yuzu tonic-like concoction. All and all a great place to enjoy Asian inspired egg-wiches and fizzy beverages if you can find a parking spot.

Whenever we're lucky enough to be on Lake, we make sure we go to Pillow Talk! And you know it's fresh ... because everything is made to order. No fast food here! This is a cute little store with a couple of small tables. Parking was a little difficult. I ended up parking in the Erewhon parking structure across the street. I ordered a matcha latte and a tamagoyaki sandwich. Both were pretty decent. The bread on the sandwich was kind of dry, though. read more

Tried this place for their lattes. They offer great drinks to spice up your afternoon and get you through the day. Both drinks we got 50% less sweet which ended up being perfect. The matcha was of good quality, as well as the coffee was. Both foams added a little sweetness, which we liked. Around lunch time this place gets really busy, we had to wait around 20 min for the drinks. Otherwise very cute place on lake! read more
I want to give this place 10 stars! My family and I decided to come here for brunch today. The owner Elaine, was super friendly and helpful. She's the dessert chef and the artist who drew the mural on the wall! It's so beautiful to see a person living their dreams and passions! Her love for what she does shows up in the presentation, taste and quality of the food. This place offers coffee, Japanese inspired sandwiches and creative desserts in mousse and/or chiffon cake. We got the honey comb ice latte, soy milk hot latte and both coffees had great flavor. We ordered 3 different types of egg sandwiches: egg haven, Mentaitoyaki, and our favorite was the Okonomiyaki! We also got the Pink Lover and the tiramisu. Pink lover was a light raspberry and lychee mousse chiffon cake. It was light and delicious. The tiramisu wasn't too sweet. Each dessert is housed in a tin can and you can ask for a lid to bring the container home! It's great for storing all kinds of little cute things such as paper clips, pink salt, small Lego's and all sorts of things. The presentation is so cute and unique. The dessert is also good for parties and gifts. Originality : 5/5 Food: 4.7/5 Service: 5/5 Parking can be a bit challenging. There is street parking outside for 1 hour only. I love supporting female entrepreneurs especially someone as talented, helpful and friendly as Elaine. I will definitely be coming back to try their other desserts! read more

We tried a few of their egg sandwiches (definitely over ordered) but everything was super tasty! We had a large order and it was all packed neatly and the person who helped me was really attentive. Their egg heaven sandwich the egg sandwich with pork floss were my favorites! They're definitely a lot more filling than it looks. Will be back to try their drinks and cake selection! read more
This was my first time coming to pillow talk and I've had it in my saved list for a while. I parked in the macys parking structure (free) and walked over since Pasadena is notorious for no parking sometimes. I ordered my egg Heaven sandwich ahead of time through the Yelp app for pick up. It didn't take long! The place is small, very clean, and very cute. The lady who helped me was kind and recommended the two cakes I also purchased. The basque cheesecakes are limited time only. I got the pink lover cake and the grape earl grey cake. The sando was delicious. I was expecting it to taste like the egg salad sandos from Japan but these did not. So if you're looking for that, sorry the egg Heaven didn't taste like it. BUT IT WAS really good, stuffed with egg salad and sprinkled with pepper, it was finger licking good. I bought the cakes to give to my mom and grandparents, I will let you know if they like them! They were sooo beautiful. Overall I had a great experience trying this egg Heaven sando, and visiting this cute sandwich and dessert spot! There is a different tamago sando that I want to try next time too! read more

Super cute cafe with delicious looking dessert options. We ordered a matcha flavored dessert which was like a cake with some matcha cream inside. The cake part was slightly dry but the matcha cream was very creamy and well made. My friend and I had the matcha yuzu and strawberry cakes here, both of which were delicious. The matcha yuzu cake didn't have a strong yuzu flavor but was still moist and creamy. I enjoyed the strawberry shortcake one because of the moist cake and light strawberry flavor paired well with the whipped cream. Super cute cafe with some street meter parking in the front. I got a couple of cakes to go and they did a great job of packaging it nicely with the cardboard bottom and aesthetic containers. Matcha Yuzu: honestly you don't taste any yuzu and the matcha is light. It's not too sweet so it's easy to eat as well. Very fluffy and mousse textured. Earl grey with grapes: not gonna lie, the grapes were weird. Definitely could do without. Otherwise, also not very sweet cake with a strong earl grey taste. Definitely recommend for earl grey lovers. I definitely want to come back to try the other cake flavors and their sandwiches. Staff was nice as well. read more

The place is super cute and the drink was good however the tiramisu latte was a bit underwhelming didn't have much of a coffee taste mostly just a milk flavor and there was no ice in my drink not sure if thats how it comes or if that was just a mistake , but the dirty sesame drink was really good. Overall the place os cute snd the deserts look yum so id definitely come back and try a different drink. read more

Recently came back from a japan trip, was craving some Japanese classics and found this place. Simple menu with tempting Japanese style sandwiches. Yummy desserts in cute tins and delectable drinks to try out. Ordered the flowing: Mentaikoyaki Egg, salted Pollock roe, cheese, mustard, mayo Egg heaven Egg salad, soft boiled egg Okonomiyaki Bacon, egg, cabbage, dashi Desserts: Salted Oreo Pink lover Drinks: Iced honey comb latte Everything was delicious! The eggs salads are solid. Freshly made. All the flavors meshed so well together. The bread is slightly toasted but still soft. They are beautifully made. Not greasy or heavy feeling. They are pretty big so only ate half of it so glad to take home some leftovers for later. The cakes were soft and fluffy and the flavors matched the descriptions. The ice honey comb latte came with huge chunks of honeycombs and the coffee was so good. Not too sweet which is how I like it. A well balanced flavor of coffee and honeycomb. Will be visiting this place again in the future when craving for some yummy egg sandwiches. Service: Very friendly staff. Gave some great recommendations. Despite being around for opening, I never got the chance to try this place! It's tucked between TPumps and a couple of other shops and very easy to miss. I'm mostly indoors during working hours and this place closes at 6pm which makes it hard to grab a drink or food during the weekdays. If I was a CalTech student I'd probably come here more often since I like some caffeine as opposed to tea to stay awake. I had their honey lavender drink which was delicious! Ordered the mentaiko sandwich because I'm a huge pollock roe fan and it tasted great because I wasn't looking for a full sit down meal and it was around tea time/late afternoon. There's not a lot of grab and go options on South Lake so being able to order a quick bite is a life saver. I'm not looking to break the bank at Magnolia House or The Arbour every time I come to Lake! The space is clean and a great study spot. They've got a bathroom in case you were planning to stay long. There's plenty of tables and wall chargers for your computer. read more

Pillow Talk is a cute little dessert shop in Pasadena and I finally had the opportunity to check it out a few weeks ago. They specialize in mini mousse cakes that are light and airy while still being flavorful enough to leave an impression. I tried the taro mousse cake and I wasn't the biggest fan, but only because I don't seem to enjoy mousse cakes in general- I actually enjoy my cakes heavy and decadent, being the dessert lover and addict that I am. Haha. However even I must admit that the mousse cake was elegantly made and well-balanced. Anyways, unlike the mousse cakes, I did love my iced lattes. Their honey lavendar latte is really good, as good as some of the other local specialty coffeshops I've been frequenting recently. So I will continue to return if only for the coffee, though I do want to try their sandos too at some point. read more

Such a cute and unique concept! I tried the okonomiyaki and egg sandos. I really enjoyed the omonomiyaki due to the sauce where as the egg sando was pretty dry. I really enjoyed the fluffy texture of the breads they use for the sandos! I also got the honeycomb coffee, which I loved!!! I'm really obsessed with trying different places that serve this unique coffee, and I highly recommend you try it! We also tried the chestnut cake, which was just okay. I thought it was on the expensive side, but I think it's worth a try! read more

Pretty cute spot along the quieter side of Lake for a yummy snack! Came by with a friend on Saturday afternoon ~3pm and we were surprised by how busy it was. We ordered the egg heaven sandwich and the okonomoyaki sandwich, along with some matcha drinks. The sandwiches were delicious and the perfect afternoon snack. The egg heaven sandwich was simple and a classic, but would def recommend the okonomiyaki if you're looking for something a little different. It was super flavorful and came out hot and fresh. The drinks were decent, but too sweet for my liking even after asking for reduced sugar, and I wish the matcha flavor was stronger. The only issue that I had with this place was that we had ordered ahead on their website and received confirmation that it would be ready by the time we got there, but unfortunately for some reason we were notified by the worker when we got there that the order hadn't gone through. Not a big deal, but just a little annoying since we had plans right after. The order did take quite a while to come out and they even mixed up our drink orders, but I could tell that they were backed up with so many people waiting for their food. Might have just been an off day. Overall not a bad experience and would stop by again for their sandwiches. Been wanting to try this place since it opened and was finally able to last Friday! Parking was a little difficult to find but it IS Pasadena The okonomiyaki sandwich was delicious and quite filling! The egg, bacon, and bonito flakes are a great combination and had me wanting more! Simple and savory, a great place for a light meal with a punch! The sunny side up was heavenly the mango complimented the coconut and wasn't too overwhelming. The texture was like a pudding/jelly and absolutely melt in your mouth delightful. I also tried the mango matcha drink which you would think is going to be so so or not a great combination but actually it was the best matcha combination drink I'd ever had! Its a must try item if you're in the mood for matcha! All of the items I tried were great and the staff was extremely friendly, overall I would definitely come back again! read more

i was so excited to try this after seeing it on tiktok! theres street parking, the macy's parking lot, and a parking lot behind the burlington arcade. also a good 4-5 tables to sit, chat, relax, and work at in the cafe! we were there at around 3pm on a sunday and a lot of their mini cakes were still available. unfrotunately i didnt get a cake this visit, but i did order their okonomiya egg sandwich and new edition ube matcha! the egg sandwich came a little smaller than expected, but was very delicious and flavorful. when i came in, i believe there wasnt anyone ahead of us, but the sandwich did take a little bit to be made. other than that, it was super yummy! anyone who likes bacon + cabbage should give it a try their new ube matcha is SO good too! i almost went back to get another one since i live in san diego. the ube was strong but not overpowering, but i wish the matcha was a bit sweeter! this is the first matcha drink ive found satisfactory since moving ti socal, so give it a shot! read more
My friend and I have been wanting to stop in this spot for a minute, but some how always try on a Tuesday in which they are closed. Made it in today! I got a rose matcha and Egg Heaven sandwich which were actually way more filling than I expected. Matcha was just the right amount of sweet and super comforting for this rainy day. The sandwich I just wish had a liiiittle more seasoning, but don't get me wrong. I ate the whole thing. I also wish they would offer regular plates for dining in. It bums me out to have so much trash after a meal. Everything came out quickly and the spot was mellow. I actually really enjoyed the Billie + Lana quietly playing lol. Stopped by here for the sandwich for my sister and I left with the Oreo cake. The pastries were decorated beautifully so I had to grab one. The to go tin container was super cute, but overall I thought it was underwhelming. I'm a huge sweets girly and they never last more than a day in my house. Unfortunately, this cutie was left in the fridge and forgotten about until it went bad :( I did love the sanitizer wipes they had at each table though! Plus my sister loved the sandwiches so overall it was a decent experience! read more

First time here and it was incredible. The ambiance is so peaceful and quiet even tho they are off a busy street in Pasadena. Honestly amazing location and they do have seating available. The baristas are so patient and explain any of their menu items. I loved their energy and how they make you feel welcomed. I tried the Egg Heaven Sandwich and Dirty Matcha Latte which were incredible. The sandwich is so filling and packed with more than enough egg. The bread is soft and moist so you'll enjoy every bite. Also you need a fork since there is so much egg that it might start falling out as you take each bite. A little messy but totally worth it. Dirty Matcha Latte was a little sweet for me but I'm used to black coffee with minimal sugar. Next time I will add an additional espresso shot for a more potent flavor. I will definitely be returning soon as they have such cute desserts available. I was so full from lunch that I wasn't able to treat myself. read more

This place is really adorable and a great place to enjoy some dessert and chat with friends. My friend I came on Saturday afternoon. It was really hot out, so I'm glad we were able to sit inside and relax. I was very excited to try the egg sandwiches, as I've always seen pictures of Japanese sando sandwiches, but never had them before. There's different varieties to choose from and I was glad to have ordered at least two different ones, which included the classic sandwich with the egg salad, and one special one that came with tamago. Texture inside was creamy, with a soft bread. Definitely made my tastebuds dance. And I washed it down with a refreshing mango and match tea. The owner was very nice and makes each sandwich to order. Cakes are delicious, service is great, and presentation is top notch! I ordered online for pick up and they were ready to go. I love how the Egg Heaven sandwiches are nicely packed with care and love. Each cake is in its own cute tin. The cakes are soft, light, and not too sweet. I especially love the presentation of their cakes. It's simple and delicate, yet intricate at the same time. The items I ordered: 1. Egg Heaven Sandwich (4/5) - Egg was nicely cooked and soft, sandwiched between two slightly toasted pieces of bread. The only improvement would be to make the bread a little less dry. The box comes with 3 cute sandwiches. This was a filling meal! 2. Kinako Chestnut (4/5) - If I'm going to get cake, I'm going to get a cake I've never tried before. The chiffon is spongey and soft, the chestnut flavor is nutty and light. It's a very subtle flavor, that's not obviously sweet. I'd say it's a healthier cake than most. 3. Tiramisu (5/5) - They did such an amazing job. Every cake has its layers, but this one takes the cake. I love how pillowy and sweet this one was. Definitely recommend! 4. Taro (5/5) - Presentation is top notch and the flavors tasted like pillowy taro heaven. 5. Black Sesame (5/5) - Honestly, the best for last. I could eat a whole box full of these cakes! read more

Pillow Talk has been on my radar since I've seen videos of it on Tiktok. It's a cute Japanese style cafe with aesthetically pleasing desserts/food. I love desserts so, when I saw how their cakes I had to try it. I decided to try the Sunny Side Up which is a mango jelly coconut mousse/chiffon cake. The cake looked cute but I wished it tasted better. It was light and refreshing, but it was a bit bland and needed more sweetness in my opinion. My boyfriend ordered the Cold Brew Latte which came in a little to-go container, but it was just ok- nothing special. Overall, I wished I liked it more because it looks super cute inside. Maybe next time if I'm in town I'll give Pillow Talk another shot because their sandwiches look delicious. I was just too full from dinner to try it this time. read more
I was looking for dessert places by the restaurant I had lunch at and happened to stumble across Pillow Talk and I'm glad I did! These cakes/dessert tins were beautiful and tasted delicious! I had the matcha yuzu, pink lover, and the sunny side up. Matcha yuzu- pretty good, it was a chiffon cake with matcha cream and yuzu, but I wasn't entirely able to taste the yuzu flavor in the dessert. The matcha was prominent, and the chiffon cake paired nicely with the cream. I had my cousin and brother try it and they also were barely able to taste a hint of the yuzu, overall, still delicious though. Pink Lover- it had raspberry, chiffon cake, raspberry jelly, rose and lychee mousse. There were definitely big hints and flavors of the raspberry jelly and lychee mousse but I wasn't able to really pick out the rose mousse. Overall, solid still. Sunny side up- this one had mango jelly, coconut mousse, and chiffon cake. This was my favorite one out of all 3, but I might be biased towards the mango and coconut combo because you can never go wrong with that pairing. The mousse was smooth and light, the chiffon wasn't dry. Super solid dessert. A bit pricey, but their sandwiches and tiramisu tins are really cute!! Ordered: -Pink lover tiramisu -Tiramisu -Okonomiyaki sandwich -Egg salad sandwich -Iced hot chocolate Pro: -Okonomiyaki sandwich was a favorite!! -Sandwiches were generously filled -All items were aesthetically pleasing -Iced hot chocolate was yummy though it tasted more like mocha (was told it had no caffeine) -Clean interior with friendly staff Con: -The tin containers for the tiramisu are really cute, but cannot be trusted due to the plastic lid. It would be nice if they used glass jars or something more sustainable -Sandwiches included crusts which isn't common with Japanese style sandwiches (maybe you are team crust, but we are not) -Rather than the tirimasu, I would say their sandwiches are their specialty read more

Parking in pasadena is difficult as always (at the shop). We took it to arlington garden to eat afterwards... short drive to the park but free parking and plenty of seats with shade. No weird bugs attacked us while eating. Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - guaca-mango sandwich felt buttery from the guacamole and the mango made it refreshing with the sweetness and slight tartness. Would definitely recommend! Okonomiyaki sandwich was savory and always enjoy the bonito flakes. It's one sandwich sliced into three but the presentation was amazing. The matcha yuzu cake was great and really loved that it wasn't too sweet. The two gold flakes were interesting but almost... plastic like when eating Ambience: 5/5 - novelty shop with really cute packaging and presentation ideas Service: 4/5 - greeted immediately and the cashier was pleasant. My bad, we talking about pillow talk right? TREAT YO SELF TO SOME DESSERT HERE after such an encounter. .:: Dessert ::. Tiramisu $7: Coffee jelly with mascarpone mousse over coffee cocoa cake. Pretty prominent flavors. Pink Lover $8: layer of raspberry jelly in between lychee mousse + rose mousse over chiffon cake. Not TOO sweet for me but can be for others with lower tolerance. I enjoyed this a lot as it had a layer of raspberry Grape Earl Grey $8: Grape mousse with earl grey cream over earl grey cake. The earl grey resided on the top layer and was quite subtle but you can taste it. They had bits of the grape peels in the middle. Kinako Chestnut $8: roasted soybean mousse with chestnut cream topped with white chocolate pearl, feutilltine over roasted soybean cake. My friend's mom tried this cake and said it was good, not too sweet for her. Sunny Side Up $8: Mango Jelly coconut mousse over chiffon cake. My friend's dad tried this and said it was pretty fruity. A bit too sweet for him though so maybe not so good for older people. Wish I could have tried to give my two cents! Matcha yuzu $8: Matcha cream with yuzu mousse over matcha cake. Aesthetically super pleasing! Also didn't get to try this one. Black Sesame $8: Black sesame cream with sweetened osmanthus over sesame chiffon cake. My friend's uncle tried this and liked it a lot.
