A nice little spot in the area for KBBQ that is about as authentic as it gets. The place is great for large parties at lunch, but make sure to book in advance! The menu is simple just like I like it and everything on the ayce menu is AYCE. Unlike a lot of places, which limit your side dishes, rice etc. Staff is super quick with your orders and they make sure to check up on you when your meat is low. Eating with a party of 10+ hungry dudes requires a ton of greasy meat, and the servers provide it fast and furiously. There were only 2 working at lunch and they managed to serve an almost full house! Will be coming back here again for that authentic Korean BBQ in the neighborhood! read more

I am always consistently impressed with this location. The meat is incredibly delicious and always tastes of a high quality. The prices are reasonable. But most importantly it's easy to get enough food to feel full here. I love bringing friends and just having a good time. It feels like a more social way of eating at a restaurant than normal and the food is delicious. It did seem that prices have gone up since COVID, but this pandemic has been hard on everyone so I completely understand this and I think it's still very worth it. Don't eat here! Manager and staff are abusive. I explained carefully and patiently that I have a dangerous allergy to red meat due to a tick bourne illness. The waitress even asked me a few questions, doubting me, because I didn't want my food cooked on the same grill as what I'm severely allergic to. Red meat! I even showed her my epi pen. She finally let me cook my chicken at the table after being annoying. Then she proceeds to bring me my sides. One of them was bone broth from beef!! I ate half of it, trusting her and then I start to wonder if I'm eating beef bone broth and call her over and ask. She takes it away and dismisses it by saying, "it's ok, you didn't eat a lot!" I decided not to freak out. I say nothing more to her, about it. I even left her a nice tip anyway, but then tried speaking to the manager. He remembers me from a week earlier when I ate there with a friend. We had a deep talk previously about my allergies. I never raise my voice. I try to explain as nicely as possible that "my server just could care less." He tried to explain it away as nothing more than the language barrier, I say, "no, she completely understood me, but just didn't really doesn't care!" He says "I have to stand behind my staff, don't come back!" What a nasty guy. And trust me, I was being kind to him and respectful. Then, I spent the whole night vomiting, as a result of eating beef bone broth! What a spectacular fail as a whole, for a restaurant and staff! I'll be writing as many reviews as possible. Just steer clear of this place. All they want is your money! They clearly lack empathy and respect, for even their repeat customers. Go somewhere else! read more

Super good place to go if you are on a budget and/or you want to fix your Korean BBQ craving! I went here with my brother and my cousin not too long ago and we were very satisfied with our visit. It didn't take too long to get us seated on a Saturday afternoon/early evening, probably less than 5 minutes for a walk in! I will say this place has that..sticky, KBBQ feeling in terms of the seating, the tables, and the utensils/plate ware. I definitely understand the amount of dishes they probably have to go through each day so I really don't mind, but I guess it kinda counts as part of the experience, right? Their cheapest ayce option doesn't have very many choices of meats to choose from, but definitely included the basic staples that you can definitely get full off of like brisket, pork belly, bulgogi, etc. it was definitely more than enough for me! The waiters were very nice too and although it got pretty busy, it was very easy to wave them down if we ever needed anything. I would say a tip is to just order more meat whenever they come and ask, because it could be a rarity for them to come back to your table if you don't order while they're there the first time! I usually get my kbbq at Gen on Reseda and Devonshire but whenever the wait is too long, I drive on over to this little spot to fulfill my kbbq craving. They have a small parking lot but I never have problems finding parking. They have an AYCE menu and a regular menu that is per plate. I always ge tthe AYCE menu. They have different AYCE tiers as well depending on how much you want to eat. This place is decent and the service is decent as well. The service can get pretty slow if they're busy, though. read more

This establishment does not value and expressed a blatant disregard of a 37 year of business from a very long standing customer who spent tens of thousands of dollars in their restaurant. Here is the reason why. My wife & I went out for a dinner last night, 6/27, at a time when a big part of the city of Northridge was out of electricity. Since this establishment I was only 2 blocks away from my residence, I called them & asked if they have a generator to run some lightings and rightfully so as I have blurry vision brought about by a very recent eye surgery. After having our dinner & on our way out, the owner's son who is running the restaurant stated that I was crazy to come up with such a question. I was totally surprised & at the same time intensely offended by his statement. This person even initiated a discussion that he does not want my business which is plain stupid on his part. On our way out to the door he even announced to everyone in the restaurant what happened to insult me. Based on this unfortunate personal experience, the person who run this business is nothing short of arrogant, rude & stupid. And because he asked for it, I will be more than happy to give it to him...ceasing to patronize this restaurant. In addition, I will actively narrate to all my relatives, friends, acquaintances, neighbors, & whoever may listen this very sad state of affairs of this business. My family and I came to Pine Tree on a Wednesday night at 9 pm and they were poppin'! Although they were super busy, they were surprisingly able to take us in. The wait was about 10-15 mins. We did the $20.95 AYCE and asked for all 5 of the meat options after we got seated. We got our waters, side dishes, rice, and soon after, all of our meats. The lady that served us was so sweet. We could tell they were very busy, understaffed, and trying their best. The whole crew was running around, but still managed to check in on us from time to time and get our meat and rice orders in. They also provide soybean soup and steamed egg upon request. As for parking, the parking lot they have in front is super small since part of it is left for their outdoor dining set up. They have plenty of parking available by the Tarzana Treatment Center which is right next to Pine Tree. read more

The prices have tripled since reopening from Covid. Very limited options for the price and I would recommend searching other local Korean BBQ options before coming here for lunch. First time eating here... husband wanted to try it since there's only a handful of ayce kbbq in the valley. It's very spacious, clean, nice staff and great service. They have two ayce option and we got the premium for $22.95 (most expensive) Even for the premium, the selection is still limited. No seafood (shrimp or squid) and they charge an extra $5 for a plate of veggies. The meat quality was not very good, the brisket had that gristly texture after cooking. The boneless beef rib was not marinated well enough. The pork belly was so so. They do have a rib eye steak which we ordered last and was very surprised because it was the best tasting out of all the meat options. So do start with the rib eye first if you come here!! The banchans was so so and the brisket sauce was very bland. Over all... the food is mediocre. The quality of the meat is not up to our standards and most likely not coming back here. Hello everyone, This family restaurant has always been our go to restaurant in the past. As usual, the place is pretty busy but to our surprise "management" was the only server with a full house. The food was decent however our problem arised when we had to repeatedly ask for drinks to be served. Management/ the only server was busy which we understood but continued to serve and seat other people without serving our drinks. Mid way into our meal as you can imagine in an all you can eat Korean BBQ without water or drinks your going to start to feel uncomfortable. So we decided to discretely remind management/only server that our drinks still had not been served. We reminded management/only server three times and he kept saying that it was coming. At this point everyone, is agitated no water drinks nothing on the table so we decided to cut our stay short and get drinks at the nearest 7/11. At the time that we had to pay the check, we told management/only server that we had been asked on multiple occasions to serve our drinks. He told us that it is not his fault nor did he apologize or take accountability for this error that occurred. No drinks at an all you can eat location is absurd and unheard of. It's usually the first thing that occurs at a table but instead we went through our whole dining experience without a drinks. When confronted about this issue management/only server he just began to state that he did not care about our business or the fact that we were dissatisfied with our service. I've been coming here for years & this Korean barbecue place always hits the spot. It's not the besssst kbbq I've had, but I definitely prefer it over Gen! Their parking in the lot is limited, but there's an ample amount of street parking in case it's super busy. I've never had an issue w/ the meats and have always found them to be delicious. I believe their pricing is around $15ish weekdays and $17ish on weekends and holidays. They also offer plenty of sides. My favorite is the soup and also the fish cakes. Mmmmm. The service here is always pretty good. There are times when it gets super busy and the waiters are understandably running around, but I've never felt neglected! The manager, Chris, is awesome. If the waiters are busy, he'll usually help them out and also constantly check if you're doing okay. The only thing I have to complain about is that they no longer offer rice paper :( and also, after ordering 2 or 3 plates, they cut down the portions they bring you by a lot. It's Korean BBQ in the valley! Yeah it may not be as good as the joints in K-town, but it'll suffice and you don't have to deal with a high traffic area. We had the $22 set which had more options than the $15 one. We tried the Spicy Pork, Marinated Beef, Angus Steak and Beef Brisket. The spicy pork was really good and worth trying. The marinated beef was next in line. The angus steak beef and the brisket were both lacking in the flavor department. I wouldn't really recommend ordering those one. If I ever go back here, I would just get unlimited spicy pork and marinated beef and my tummy would be set. The parking lot is pretty tiny and it gets crowded. I've been living around here for over 3 years and for quite some time, this was a dumpy eye sore at the corner of Roscoe. Ghosts of the restaurant's signage was still in tact, but it was tagged up with graffitti, and looked like a hotspot for zombies in an X-Box shooting game. Then it happened. The Korean BBQ Fairy Godmother sprinkled magic kim chi dust all over the spot and it was completely remodeled and open for business this year. Haunted by its old look, I still wouldnt try it for a couple months until one day, my diet cheat day, we went. And we're glad we did. The meat was good and we did the $19.99 for premium cuts AYCE. Lots of sides and glorious sticky rice. Its definitely a reliable spot for a local KBBQ craving for me now. Management is really nice and the place is clean. read more

We pretty much always get the premium all you can eat, which costs $22 and has about a dozen or so choices of meat. I enjoy the brisket, bulgogi, and marinated angus. The meat quality seems to be fairly high, and they definitely don't skimp on the portions. You can continue to order more meat until you're completely stuffed. You can also ask for more salad or banchan if you run out of anything. Along with the meat for AYCE, you get salad, radish soup, rice, and about 8 banchan dishes, included bean sprouts, kimchee, fish cakes, potato salad, scallion pancake, etc. These come in small dishes, so expect to have to order more of your favorites. Service is usually fairly attentive and prompt, which is about the best you're going to get for an AYCE Korean bbq place. While it's not the best KBBQ I've ever had, given the limited options in the area, it's one of the best. read more

Even thought he had a broken foot he kept hobbling over to our table or rolling over in the desk chair to check on our table, make sure we were comfortable. I thought he was SUPER for that! If you can forsake the imposing servers who are most likely Korean grandmothers that know better than us younger amateurs when it comes to 80's style KBBQ dining, Pine Tree (two words) checks all the boxes for good basic bulgogi, dak gui, and kalbi. Dining on plates that look like they were bought in a close out from a Sears department store, the meat and rice coupled with some classic banchan (no exotic stuff here) is comfortably satisfying. I prefer they cook it in the kitchen rather than me doing it at the table. They don't mind and do a better job for sure. Plus you get a bed of delicious grilled onions that way. AYCE is popular and so are large groups. Don't forget to get the best boba in Northridge at Boba Truck across the street. read more

Notice to all Silverlake/L.A. Hipsters, the best Korean BBQ in Los Angeles is actually in Ventura! But seriously, Pine Tree is kind of a diamond in the rough. Yes it's probably a bit of a drive to most people in the Los Angeles area, but in my opinion it's well worth it. They have two different options for all-you-can-eat BBQ. They have the standard, and then the premium option. The premium option obviously has more options as far as what meats you would like. To be perfectly honest I've never tried the premium option because the meats available on the standard option are plenty for me. My personal favorites are the spicy pork, and the beef brisket. So they will seat you at a table with a grill and then you place your orders. Be forewarned as with most all-you-can-eat places the portions will seem a little small, so just think ahead and order more when you put the last order on the grill. They have a good selection of beers, and wines as well. But the best part, is that this place is SUPER affordable! Especially for an all-you-can-eat! We absolutely love it! We spend a day at the beach, get nice and hungry and then go and drown ourselves in beef and pork! There's plenty of parking in the front of the restaurant, and if for some reason the lot is full there's an overflow lot right next door! Worth the drive! You won't be disappointed! read more

The service here is amazing! The best for any Korean owned restaurant especially for AYCE kbbq. Saves me a trip to L.A. For $14.95, the service and meal is worth it. The brisket was on par, not too fatty. The spicy pork wasn't spicy at all though, just sweet, really good when eaten with rice. The pork belly was half fat.... I don't usually get chicken for AYCE kbbq but it was sooo delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone in the valley.
