The restaurant was about an hr away from school! (Thank you sis for being my door dash) We ordered a medium size party tray for about 25-30 people of bbq chicken and another tray of chicken katsu. Medium party tray of white rice and small party tray of Mac salad. Food was hot and fresh and we even enjoyed an extra platter of Mac salad by accident and the utensils and plates (Togo) boxes were even provided. Everything was perfect. The food is really good. Wife and I always get that aloha bbq mix, its very fulfilling. The service is over the counter so its not too hard to order food and get your food right away. The ambience is very quiet, most cuatomers they come in and order and leave, there is a few tables for your guest if you decide to eat at the establishment. There is only two hawiian places in yuba city, we live down the block from another hawiian place but this one is 15 minutes away and we come to this one instead. Food I will start with their food. Very good food. We ordered the Katsu plate and the teriyaki chicken. Chicken was very tender. No complaints there. Service Not good at all. When we arrived, we were told the wait on our food would be 30 minutes. 30 minutes! Granted they had one cook working and the young lady at counter was taking orders in person and on the phone. We agreed because we really wanted to try this place. I would not come here again unless I ordered my food today to pick up tomorrow. They really need to improve their food prep times and get more help. Ambiance I understand that this place just opened, but they were a bit unorganized, with random items everywhere. The place looked unkept and quite honestly dirty. The windows were filthy. They can use the help of a good window cleaning service. Remove the puzzles they have there. Not so much heat where you might die but the heat is noticeable. The food is glistening as well so that's also good for the photos. The food does take a while to cook but it's worth the wait and you know it's definitely fresh. The rice is just plain boring rice. Nothing special there. And the macaroni thing that comes with is taste exactly like every other ones I've had at other Hawaiian bbq places so it's probably all pre packaged. but we not here to eat that we here to enjoy the meats!
