The wonton soup and hot tea, they were both amazing!
    Candice G.

It was amazing, from the atmosphere with a quaint little place that was busy, to the yummy Mongolian beef, the wonton soup, green beans, soup dumplings, to the hot tea! We enjoyed it all, the wait staff were attentive, friendly and made some great recommendations! I highly recommend trying them

It was there soft opening and the food and service was on point. Those green beans were some of the best I have ever had.

    (4) Pork Spring Rolls

Ping's was excellent. Our server Victoria, was the best. She was so friendly and easy to talk with as she visited with our table. Overall, just a great experience as the food was amazing and the giant portions made it easy for leftovers! Additionally, the restaurant is very clean and feels bright and open. Will be coming back soon!

    Sauces

We ordered our Kong Pao chicken spicy and Mongolian beef no spice. As you can see from the pic it was served opposite. Needless to say hubby and I swapped meals but when you have your pallet craving something and don't receive it, it ruins the meal. The menu states spring rolls and the pic shows spring rolls but as you can see from the pic they are egg rolls. The food was bland not much flavor and used soy sauce to flavor it up. The server never checked up on us.

Oh my gosh, it was absolutely superb! *Chef's Kiss* We were the first people to arrive, which could have been a bummer, but it turned out to be a great experience. Our server was super patient with us since it was our first time there. She gave us some helpful tips and explained the menu items. She even answered all our questions! We started with the Famous Green Beans, the Garlicky Cold "Noods," and some chicken crispy dumplings. I'm not usually a green bean guy, but these were surprisingly good. The chicken crispy dumplings were a really cool twist on gyozas. And the cold garlicky "noods"! I could've had those all by myself and been happy. They were such a great way to start the meal. Most of the entrees are shareable family-style, so the portions are easy for two or more people. As we waited for our entree, I decided to try the Dashi Cooler for a cocktail. It was mellow, refreshing, and a bit tart, but it was a well-crafted drink. I also ordered another cocktail, but I'll tell you more about it later. Our entree of the Love Me or Hate Me Spicy Lamb Cumin arrived with a side of steamed rice. This is definitely a shareable dish. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. The veggies that came with it were seasoned and cooked just right to give them a nice crunch. As we were working this table full of food, I decided to try another cocktail from their specialty menu. I chose the Purple Moon, which is their version of a French 75 with Ube to give it a purple color. It was done really well. I'd definitely order it again on my next visit. According to their menu, happy hour is every day from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Overall, we were so impressed with our visit to Dashi that we were talking about having a birthday dinner there that's not for another few months. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu and cocktails. They're definitely a place I'll be visiting again!

I am only saying it was sent on my end, but maybe it did not go through. As for their comments regarding third party application price markup, I can fiercely vouch that I did not pay more than $4 more and that $4 did not affect my review either way (1.5 green beans, 2.5 two lo Mein, egg drop soup 8 oz. Size not available online menu) The business owners can view the picture of the receipt I included and tell me otherwise if those were not correct prices. There were no delivery fees that I accounted for in my review because I was using Uber 1 and they were nominal. In fact, there was an Uber Eats BOGO Lo Mein coupon used that I am pretty confident is not available in person. So ordering directly would have been much more expensive, without the BOGO Offer, and with either in person table service tipping or delivery from them. I stand by my review. Pricing would have actually been even less appealing without the BOGO coupon which came from a third party. I do not wish to be a "hater". I genuinely did like the food. I complimented the quality. That isn't the issue. It is mostly the pricing and the onions haha. If I ever get the chance to dine here in person, I look forward to updating my rating!

I used Doordash, which I usually have pretty good luck with, especially when my son orders it through his own account. After waiting more than twenty minutes after the delivery time, I got a text from the dasher telling me to cancel the order. My son had already told me about that scam. You go into the app and get the support folks to cancel it, or it is called "customer initiated" and you lose your refund. Anyway, Doordash had the order redone and delivered with a new driver. Let's get to Sichuan Garden. I ordered from here because they had some "non- standard" offerings. I lived in Taiwan a while back and upon return to the US never acquired a taste for the supposedly authentic Americanized dishes. I ordered stir fried pork tripe and pork intestines in spicy chili sauce. I got a complimentary side of fried rice with each of them. I also ordered beef lomein for my son and 4 eggrolls. I tasted the lomein, and it was just okay. I have definitely had better. The egg rolls were "delivery soggy" but tasted fantastic. Can't complain there. The trip and intestine dishes were both delicious. I could eat them every day for the rest of my life and be satisfied. The fried rice, though, was awful. I used it the next day to make a much more improved version at home. All in all, I like the food from Sichuan Garden. I am anxious to go there and dine in. There are some other "non-standard" items I want to try.

A few years ago it was Pho. So, I do have a favorite, but I still need to try new places. Well, I am, & this place is pretty phenomenal. The inside is so sweet & simple. You feel real comfortable & peaceful being in there I found them just by driving through the parking lot looking for Holy Pops for a Yelp Elite event. I wanted to try them out, & I'm so happy I did. They exceed my expectations. I walked in & was greeted by one of the waitresses, I let her know it would be a to go order, but I've never been there. She explained how things could be ordered. Steamed vs fried, for example. I regret not snapping photos of the menu, but they have one online. For that matter my food was consumed before a single photo was taken. (That's how you know it's good! At least with me! ) I went with an order of pan fried dumplings, an order of pan fried pork bao, & one order steamed pork bao. Do not be in a rush when you come. Everything is made fresh. You want it to be. Oh my goodness. These bao are amazing. The dough is the perfect thickness, IMO. The meatball inside though mine were a little larger than a golf ball. Juicy, flavorful & couldn't get enough. Made me want a dozen!. Just don't have the stomach to eat that many. Means I'll have to make more trips. The dumplings, pan fried - were so delicious. Again, piping hot! I'd say the little meatball was about half the size of the bao one. I ordered the shrimp, pork & lamb dumplings (I think. ) They had shrimp in them though. And they were amazing Okay, so me saying all my food was piping hot - here's the thing - this place is on Stone Oak, I live in the Brooks City Base area, it was still piping hot when I got home. Y'all know the traffic in this city right now! Don't waste anymore time. Go check them out. Wanna know about the staff? I'll continue! So, my order took about 25 minutes. Okay I ordered a lot, the place was full also, & again everything is made fresh. Oh! Also, you can watch them make it all. The two waitresses & the waiter checked on me often, - (when I came in. I sit in my car most of the time & inform them. Then, I just come sit down.) They apologized & I explained I make this food, I understand & am happy to wait, just means it'll be good. And boy was it!!!!

We started with the scallion pancakes, which were highly recommended, and they did not disappoint! Crispy, savory, and so good dipped into the broth for even more flavor. I had the pork noodle soup and my husband had the beef. Both broths were rich and delicious, and I also really liked that you can choose your noodle thickness, with options like thin, medium, or thick. Neither soup was spicy, and I do wish there were an option to choose a spice level, but that definitely didn't take away from how good the food was. Service was good, and the restaurant itself is pretty small, so I probably wouldn't recommend it for a really large group. My only real complaint was that it felt pretty warm inside, especially when eating a hot bowl of noodle soup. Turning the temperature down a bit would make the experience even better. Overall, the food was definitely worth the visit. If you're in the area, I'd recommend checking this place out and definitely get the scallion pancakes!

I eat all kinds of meat. So I always order the pork and chive dumplings :D ! Whether you come in on a weekday or weekend, it always helps to come early if you can! If we want to go there for lunch, we try to get there as close to 11 am as possible when they first open. It's a great restaurant to catch up with friends, family or even colleagues over a good meal :) ! The parking lot out in front is a pretty decent size.
