I have lived in Weho for two years now. My fiancé and I used to order from this place quite a bit. It always seemed super convenient! More recently it seems that their service has really gone downhill. They have a funny little way of showing up to your door with less than what you ordered - rather than calling you from the store to swap items or giving you a chance to cancel your order. This has happened multiple times! So for example, tonight we ordered 4 bottles of wine, and they charged us for all 4 - which was $110. Then they came to the house and handed us 2 bottles - telling us the other 2 (which happened to be the 2 most expensive on our bill) weren't available (even though we paid for them). So we were charged for 4 but got 2 at our door. Apparently they have some system to go back online and request a refund but it's super inconvenient and when you try to complain or call the store after the fact, you can expect a rude response (at least the one time I tried to call there when this first happened). Due to this issue, I've started ordering from other nearby delivery liquor/convenience stores. Actually the only reason we ordered from here tonight was because my fiancé did the order - but she learned her lesson just like me!! This place would be way better if they invested in a smarter inventory system to avoid selling product they don't have ---- then, If they do make a mistake, they could certainly not bring half your order to the door ... but if they do that as well, they could be apologetic instead of being nasty as a third strike when you call to complain. Thumbs down!! Bad management - fix your problems!! Fix your inventory system and hire a new store manager if the store manager or his/her employees are letting this happen (including being nasty on the phone). We managed to get those two very important items, but what we weren't expecting was the amazing service we received from Kiwi. She was friendly and patient and surprisingly knowledgeable about everything. No joke- at least three customers asked her questions while we were there, on matters ranging from directions, e-cigarettes, decent single malt scotch available for sale? Perhaps the worst in all of LA. You have to order via the website, which doesn't list 2/3 of what they have in store. if you call to make a substitution, the staff doesn't know what beer is. if you put instructions at the bottom of the order they are never read or adhered to. I've had people ring the doorbell why my baby was sleeping when I said to call first. I've had deliveries not call me and deliver to the wrong address across town (even when delivering alcohol which needs an ID and signature) and I've delivery people not leave it at the door when requesting contact free delivery and they just left with my order and returned to the store. Ordered from Pink Dot out of sheer laziness. I typically order from Yummy, they are similar but have a wider variety of grocery items. Any way, I had a sweet tooth so I really wanted cupcakes, which is the reason I decided to try Pink Dot (they have Cake and Art treats as well as Doughboy treats so I gave them a shot. 1. First Problem They place a hold on your card before they fill your order which doesn't seem to make sense because if an item isn't in stock then what? 2. Second Problem They make substitutions without letting you know.. Big problem. I ordered a few peanut butter cliff bars because I need some protein right after I hit the gym and I'd run out of Cliff Bars. Well they filled the order with peanut toffee caffeinated. I am sensitive to caffeine and cannot have those. So I had to give them to my neighbor and in essence lost money. 3. Third Problem The Red Velvet Doughboy cake was very watery. There's a difference between moist and soggy. *frown* The Good The Cake and Art Coconut Cream Cupcake was the bomb. Verdict It's okay when you're feeling lazy. I was contacted by the new PR person at Pink Dot as they had noticed I downgraded my review based on a series of less than stellar sandwiches I ate there over the past year. I was asked to come back - on them - and try some more items to see how the new management was running things. When I stopped by yesterday I asked for Sol and he came out promptly and told me how they had sourced new distributors and were back to using higher quality goods to make their sandwiches and other food items. My friend and I tried ordered a chef salad, a chicken panini - paninis are a new item on the menu - and a ham and cheese sandwich. And Sol was right. The quality is indeed up and all the items were really very good. Very tasty, and in a well nigh foot long sandwich makes Pink Dot a go to choice again in the neighborhood. I will return and hopefully the quality remains as high as it is now. Congratulations on a successful effort to retool the brand. But they still need to redo their price list - still $1 off the actual prices. read more

Horrible service! The girl (I think she said her name is Jen or something) who took my order over the phone was definitely on something. I had to repeat my order numerous times. VERY SIMPLE ORDER! 3 bottles of Evian and 1 dip n dots cake batter flavor nothing difficult! I placed my order over an hour ago and I still don't have it. She just called me and told me they're out of dip n dots in the flavor I wanted and the driver already left...ummmmmm, you couldn't call me before the driver left to see what other flavors I would like?! I've tried both Pink Dot and Yummy and after experiencing each several times, I do not think I will order from Pink Dot again. Every time I order from Pink Dot the delivery time says 45min to an hour and every single time they go way past that. I usually end up waiting between an hour and a half and two hours and they never offer anything to make up for the tardiness. Yummy on the other hand has a 30 min guarantee. While I love the selection Pink Dot has, they mark up the prices way more than Yummy and by the time the food gets to me I'm just angry and not really hungry anymore. I'm kind of at a crossroads here on what star rating I should give. On the one hand, they're convenient and well-priced. On the other hand, they require a $20 minimum order for delivery. Back to the first hand, the food is actually quite good and of an amazing quality for a delivery-type place. On the second hand, it's taken well over 2 hours to deliver a simple meal, and they're less than 3 miles from our office. Go figure. Both times that I've ordered from them, it has taken 2+ hours for meals to arrive. This time, they had a driver call in sick so they were backed up. So it has been about a year or so since I had last gone to Pink dot due to rude cashiers who didn't know a thing about customer service. Last night, I went back and I have got to say it is completely different now. Much, much better and even the store was cleaner and more organized. To be fair, the food has always been totally adequate. My big complaint is the amount of time it takes to get the food to your house. Last night we ordered one sandwich and a bottle of wine. And more than two hours later, it finally arrived. I called twice to check the status of my order, and both times I was told (rudely) that the driver had already left and would be at our place in less than 10 minutes. Finally after many ten minute increments had gone by, I called to cancel my order. The girl on the phone (who I had not complained to before) was aggressively rude, and told me that they had a standard 45 minute wait time and that I hadn't placed my order that long ago. When I told her that my confirmation email had come in more than two hours earlier, she said she didn't know what happened and that my delivery would probably be there soon, and I should just be patient. Luckily, the delivery guy showed up right at that moment and spared me losing my mind. I agree with the many other reviews recommending yummy.com over this place. Pink Dot does have a pretty decent online selection, and ordering online is very easy. The last time I ordered, however, I did not have a great experience. I placed an order for several items, including a baked potato and a pint of ice cream. The hour went by and no delivery, so about 20 minutes later, I called to check in. They explained they had gotten backed up with orders, which is fair, and that mine was about to go out in a few minutes. Another hour and a half later, my food finally arrived. Not only was my baked potato ice cold, but my ice cream was completely melted. I understand that they get backed up, but my complaint is two-fold. One, a simple email or phone call to alert me my order will be more than double the delivery time would have at least kept my expectations in check. Two, when you have deliveries with temperature sensitive foods, and you get backed up, please consider putting items back or not putting those items in until delivery is ready to go. Pink Dot is a great concept and usually delivered within 35 to 45 minutes depending where you live. If you don't want to drink and drive somewhere just call PD or order online. I would recommend calling since sometimes the online system trips out. When calling if you are on hold for more than a few minutes call back since they don't really know how to place people on hold and pick up. If you walk inside the store it isn't impressive but it's fast and easy and free parking. I have ordered from the Sunset location on several different occasions and all hours of the day and night. A few times they messed up on my order and when called I was able to get free delivery on my next order also with a credit for what they messed up on with no problem. There is one employee that claims she is the Manager of Pink Dot that has horrible customer service and gets flustered on the phone when taking orders and refuses to fix the orders. I hope that little biznatch was on her period or fighting with her boyfriend/girlfriend (hey it is Weho) and it was just an off day for her but I don't need some psycho PMS lady taking my food order ever again. My boyfriend lives in the sunset area near the sunset plaza and decided to throw a last minute party with a lot of guests. I decided went to pink dot and I am so happy I did. There selection on alcohol is absolutely incredible!!! So much to chose from I felt a like a kid in a candy store! Literally had anything you wanted in all sizes , shape and form! I am still In shock there selection was that big, way bigger then a liquor store, cvs or rite aid! I also even decided to place a huge order of bunch of pizzas and wings for the guest, which came out amazing!! Great staff as well, the girl took her time and gave me advice on every type of alcohol possible which impressed me. I was staying at the nearby Mondrian for GRAMMY events when I realized I was missing a few small things when I unpacked -- gum, razor, and snacks (hey, they are necessary!). Pink Dot is right across the street and has just about every type of drink you could want (from various mineral waters, to single malt scotches, to Starbucks double shot lights). Selection is awesome, but some of the pricing was a little out of control on some of the items. A water, two Starbucks double shots, and gum ended up being $15. However, the convenience couldn't be beat. Nice guys at the counter too. P.S. They sell disposable flasks - perfect for sneaking into the GRAMMYs (since they don't serve alcohol during the event). read more

These guys make outrageously delicious sandwiches and salads. Sure, you'll pay up the nose, but honestly, the salads are bursting with ingredients and the sandwiches are well stacked with your favorites. I like the American hoagie - beef, ham and turkey with swiss cheese. Order it "hot" and you won't regret it. I also like the tuna melt. Their breakfast croissants are tasty as well. And if you're toasted late at night, do the right thing and don't drive. Just call them, they'll deliver whatever beer, wine or liquor you want and they have a more than decent selection. I'd give them five stars, however sometimes it takes them an incredibly long time to deliver your order. I loved living right next door to this store and LOVED the fact that they delivered! At times, it would be too hectic to walk out my apartment gates and buy what I needed, so yes the option of having your grocery list and/or food delivered right to your door is VERY convenient! Food is great here and this store has practically anything you could need; consider it a mini-grocery store with a deli/restaurant. I hate writing a mediocre review for a service I'm fond off. The folks that work there seem really kind, the hot food is delish and the service is pretty speedy. However the last two times I've ordered from them, they've left items off my list. The reason I order from them is I'm working late and I can't get to the supermarket. So when they leave a hot dish of pasta off (i.e. dinner) or soda etc it sort of defeats the purpose of ordering from them -- and I end up having to leave anyway and buy what I need. My girlfriend and I got sick of ordering pizza and typical dine out/to go restaurants. So we decided to try pink dot, and all I can say is WOW! Great experience We ordered buffalo wings, a chicken wrap, and a pesto sandwich which my girlfriend and I all shared: all was delicious. On top of all the great food, they also decided gave us a free cupcake which was huge and yummy! Thank you to that amazing employee I was very satisfied with this establishment, brought the food quick as well. I have mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand yea you get whatever you want delivered to your house while you sit on your lazy ass watching tv, on the other hand over priced everything and the food isn't that good. Hmmmm Well the beer is warm, the food is ok at best, and very over-priced. I also ordered broccoli cheese soup and at the last minute they called and told me they were all out when they could have checked when I ordered and tell me they were out. Also it took FOREVER to get to my house and I live like 2 blocks from them, maybe even less than that. Their website and their menu looks great, but their product falls short of their promise. I have ordered from them several times and they never have everything I want to order (even though it is listed on their website). My fiancée really likes their fresh sandwiches, so we order from them with some regularity. I haven't found anything I like. The hot dog I got from there last time was the worst I have ever had.
