This is one of my few favorite nail places in south pasadena. I love the cleanliness of the products that they use. It was appalling and shocking to see the unprofessional service this establishment provides. Not only did it ruin my sisters and I Sunday funday, it left me with such an emotionally distressed feeling. The lady in charge on Sunday (whom I presume is the owner) also provides manicure services. Upon entering her establishment she was grumpy, rude, and unprofessional. We ignored this at first, but it became more prevalent while she was doing the manicure. She was aggressively filing my nails which was very shocking. At one point I wanted to ask her to please be less aggressive. When she was finished, I noticed a clear cricked filing of my nails. When I advised her of the cricked filing her response was even more shocking. She handed me the file and demanded I fix the parts of my nails that were cricked. I refused to file my own nails and insisted she take responsibility or else I won't pay. In response, she got up screaming "I can't do this I don't want you to come here." Her aggressiveness in screaming started to alarm my sisters and I, however I was not going to be bullied by her frantic behavior. The police was called and eventually the officer on the scene determined that she should not charge us for the service she did not provide. My sister has frequented this establishment but we all agreed we shall never come back! read more

I love this new nail shop! They aren't snobby at all, very accommodating and attentive to detail . I have to get acrylics due to the fact that I am a hair stylist, but I hate having fake looking nails. She made them look supernatural, not thick at all. I just moved to South Pasadena and I went to 2 or 3 nails salons before I went to Pink Nails and IM NOT GOING ANYWHERE ELSE! Molly does amazing on my nails. I'm very picky and she gave me exactly what I asked for. She is very upfront about her prices and any extras. She aims to make sure I'm happy with my nails and if I'm not happy she is always willing to make sure she corrects what I don't like! I'd recommend this nail salon to anyone. read more

Not that good, people are not very friendly but besides that on my first time there the girl cut me and I was bleeding from my finger. The pedicure was horrible they did not cut my cuticle enough. Must avoid this place! I went there to get a simple mani pedi done. The lady who did my pedicure (one of the employees) did a great job but the manager/owner who also does manicures not only had the worst attitude she also did a horrible job at cutting my nails. She was so distracted she cut my index finger nail so short its started to burn. Will never go there again! read more

Very clean store and was able to take me as a walk in. Would have liked to rate better but i was little annoyed w their pricing. I had a powdered gel manicure on and wanted a regular manicure and also a toe paint. I figured since i am not JUST getting a "gel take off" they wouldn't charge me an extra $5 for removal- I was wrong. I guess it was wrong of me to assume since i was making other purchases they wouldn't charge me more for take off. Rather than setup my nails to soak for gel removal she went right for painting my toes- while 3 other workers played on their phone. When other customers arrived- they were greeted and assisted by 2 workers (1 for toes and 1 for nails). Now don't get me wrong- i am NOT unhappy w the final product. The woman that did my manicure did an amazing job- i just didn't expect it to take a total of 1 hour 45 mins to complete. I got off work early and was around the area and my nails needed attention. It wasn't busy but they were expecting a few appointments and still accommodated me. Got a mani pedi combo. Tina did my pedi first. I enjoyed the whole warm towel wrap on my legs. She was very nice. Tim did a simple mani after. The staff is nice and want you to be happy. There was a point during the service that I waited to start my mani because the front desk didn't communicate to the manicurist that I was next. 5 or so mins I was sitting there until.I spoke up and they apologized for not understanding. The massage chairs are amazing. Free wifi and they give you bottled water! All I had time for was a basic pedicure - $22 - great price! Efficient and thorough. This place is a disappointment. My gel mani didn't even last me two days. I paid an extra 10.00 for the chrome look with started chipping the third day. The woman owner has no customer service skills, very rude and never smiles. While I was getting my mani a girl came into complain that her mani was chipping after two days and wanted them to get repainted. The owner tells her, well we have no time today, with the most disgusted look on her face. I will never go back to this place!!! read more

BEST NAIL SHOP IN SOUTH PASADENA! molly and her staff are very thorough for every step of manicure and pedicure. they sterilize and the salon is always very clean. their prices are very reasonable as well. they also time their massages, so you know that you are receiving a complete massage for the same amount of time every time. I moved to South Pasadena in May, and I'm so lucky that I found this great salon less than 5 minutes from where I live. my nails always look beautiful when I leave. I've been going to Pink Nails for well over a year now, and I've experienced some crazy things along the way, but I've recently had enough. So I kept going because they really do good nails, but their customer service is fuckin horrible! So, let me try and keep it short and sweet, but spill all the tea in the process. So about a year ago I went in to get my eyebrows done (don't get your eyebrows done) anyway Molly (the owner) was getting ready to do them and she asks me if I had left her a bad review. I was taken back because I don't typically leave reviews, in fact this is probably the first one...but it had to be done so...Molly proceeds to tell me that I look like this girl who gave them a bad rating because she was upset that they couldn't take her as a walk-in, which by the way, if you can't take walk-ins then why say you accept walk-ins? Thats false advertisement! So I told her no it wasn't me. A few minutes later she comes up to me with her phone and shows me a picture of the girl that left the review. The girl was black, and guess what...? so am I! Coincidence? I think not! I've dealt with walking in and them not being able to accommodate me as a walk-in, but then accusing me of something because of the color of mine and their skin is VERY unacceptable. Soooooo then about a week ago I needed to get a fill. Being that I know their walk-in policy (the one that exist but not really) I called ahead of time to make an appointment. The lady answered and scheduled the appointment for later that day. I walk in and Molly says "did you have an appointment today? I said yes, at 1:30p. So she checks the appointment book, and sure enough I'm there, but she tells me that the writing was too small, so she didn't see it and because she took someone else prior to me coming in, and because her next appointment was coming in (the appointment after mine...which I could see in the book) she couldn't take me. WHAT IN THE HELL!!!! I made an appointment! How are you not going to take me? Anyway I made it very clear that I was not happy with this, but ended up leaving cuz I just didn't have the energy. So now today. I call because they were the last resort and I needed a manicure. I go in for a gel manicure and the lady is almost finished and I noticed that there were way too many bubbles, so the lady doing it says that the color I chose has sand or some shit in it, so I said okay lets change the color then. Molly comes over and starts lecturing me telling me that the bubbles are normal and when the final coat goes on it will go away....Girl since when? So I was definitely not about to pay for something that was coming off in a day so the girl did it over and Molly was bothered by that, but I fa sho didn't pay for that color change because it wasn't my fault. I shouldn't have gone back after the review incident, but anyway this long review is basically to say that they need to go through training for customer service. In addition, don't racially profile people. I feel like all my experiences probably occurred because of my ethnicity and I'm not the one to just be throwing that out there unnessarily. I thought I would give them one more try, and see if things improved but clearly the owner is very sensitive and cannot handle being told the truth about people's experience here. I really like this nail salon. It is so pretty and dainty, and the ladies are so nice. I've gone to some nail salons that feel more like you're at a car wash and you're just a number. (Rush rush rush and get out.) That is not the case at Pink Nails. My pedicure was actually relaxing. I felt pampered and like there was no other place to be, AND I got precisely what I asked for. This is my new go to for a mani/pedi. Oh! It's also right next to El Pollo Loco. Win-Win! read more
