I recently visited what I can only describe as the worst restaurant ever. The ambiance was nonexistent, with drab decor and uncomfortable seating. The service was atrocious; our server was inattentive, forgot our orders, and seemed generally uninterested in providing a pleasant dining experience. The food was gross tasted like shit , and clearly not fresh. Overall, it was a disastrous meal that I would not recommend to anyone. We ended up at Pink Taco on a whim and had a fine meal there. The food was alright; I was excited to try the pink taco but the flavor was a little bland. The taco was supposed to come with rice and beans, but the rice had pork in it so they didn't serve it with the vegetarian version of the taco. This was genuinely the worst service I have ever come across in my life. My friends and I came here to celebrate my birthday and had a reservation for 7.30 pm on 5/5. I understand this is cinco de mayo so it's busy, but when I came in and mentioned my reservation, I overheard the two servers in the front whisper about giving my table away to another party (I came in at 7:20 pm). The server told me to wait a couple minutes as it was not 7:30 pm yet and I agreed and waited by the front. I noticed within the next several minutes, people who had come in later than me were getting seated at tables. It's around 8:10 pm which is 40 mins past our reservation time. I go up again and ask about our reservation and then ten minutes later we get seated. We place in our orders. Our drinks come at a reasonable time. However, we had been waiting an hour without any food, including the complimentary chips that is provided. It seemed like our server was hellbent on avoiding us but the three times we did catch her within that hour, we reminded her to bring the chips which we had yet to receive. It's around 1 hour and 30 minutes with no food, and after checking with our waiter several times, I decided to ask the waiter to check for our food and if it was not out to give us our bill for the drinks. We waited another 15 mins and no sign of her, so I went up to the front to ask the same thing. The lady at the front asked us who our server was and told us that we should have come up earlier. How would I know to do that? I thought the server was going to give us food? I told her it was my birthday and we would just appreciate the bill. But, she mentioned our food is on the way and did not give me the bill. Our server comes back and asks us what we ordered, we repeat it and she writes it down. Then, I watch her go and input our order on their screen. So, I guess she just didn't put our order in. Instead of apologizing or explaining the situation she acted like nothing happened. We waited another 30 mins before I asked a THIRD TIME for our bill. Like just release us from here!!! But no, they did not want to give it to us and told us our food is coming. They also mentioned that the manager would come to talk to us but that didn't happen. Finally, after three hours of waiting we got our food. It was cold and honestly it must've been sitting for a while. Mind you, its now like 10:15 PM, and my friends and I have lost our appetite. Finally we receive the bill, and given the experience I thought we would have gotten some sort of compensation on our bill. But, no it was full price. I asked our waiter to get the manager as I felt like that was not right. Instead of apologizing for the service, our waiter told us that there was a private event. But I mentioned to her that we have seen parties get their food and leave even after being seated after us. We were the only people at the restaurant at this point. When I asked for the manager, our waiter told us that we need to wait another 30 mins so they can complete their closing duties?? I told her that we could not wait any longer and the manager comped our meal and we just paid for our drinks. Overall, I was pretty upset with the service and lack of apology on their end but if you enjoy mid food and being held captive then this is the place for you! read more

Couldn't recommend this place more!! I went for a Bachelorette party, and the entire experience was beyond amazing. Staff were friendly, food was top notch, and the manager truly made our day unforgettable. They gave us a completely free meal (and drinks!) and even had a shot ski for us which was so fun! I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here was unacceptable. First, we waited over 45 minutes to be seated despite having a reservation. Once we finally got a table, our waitress barely acknowledged us -- it took another 20 minutes just to get water, and we felt ignored throughout the entire meal. The food was bland, poorly cooked, and definitely not worth the high prices. To make matters worse, we were overcharged on our bill, especially for the tip, which was SIGNIFICANTLY higher than what we authorized. Between the long wait, unattentive service, poor food, and billing issues, I won't be returning -- and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Overall great outdoor seating and summer drinks! Food: We had the guacamole, fajitas, and pink tacos! They overloaded on chips but skimped a little on the guacamole. Still, it was pretty good. We couldn't finish the chips. The fajitas were sizzling. More chicken than tortilla. The tacos are portioned below. The food was pricier than it feels worth tbh. Drinks: Sangria was pretty good! Margarita from what she said also seemed great! There was an extensive list, and I do recommend getting sangria since summer sangria is unbeatable! Came here on a Thursday evening for a dinner after work with a group of 8 and we were seated quickly with our reservation. The space filled up quite quickly soon after so I'd definitely recommend getting a resy beforehand if you don't want to wait! We had plenty of space around our table and our server took our orders relatively quickly while also being patient as we had to wait for a few of our party to show up at first. The appetizers and drinks came out without too much of a wait and honestly, things tasted great. They did forget about our corn though so that came out after our entrees came out - they ended up taking it off the bill without us prompting it though which was really fantastic service in my opinion! The menu was full of a lot of different possibilities, but honestly, the favorite markings were strange. The soups and salads, burritos, and enchiladas had no "favorite" indication - does that mean nothing on that side of the menu is good? It definitely skewed us away from any of those entrees, honestly. I had the frozen mango marg, which drink wise was great, the gummy it came with was really strange though. Didn't like how it wasn't sweet and it didn't compliment the flavor that well. The Something Pink was better in my opinion- more floral and definitely something I'd order again. The guac was decent - the flavor was nice and the chips came out warm, I think I was just disappointed with the plating, but other than that it was great. They do have happy hour for apps so the price was discounted too! The quesadilla was great as well - good value and the portion was pretty decent. The Chile popper was interesting, I found the dipping sauce to be flavorful in a way I wasn't expecting either. They were hard to split though - impossible to cut in half, just a heads up. The corn came out differently from pictures I saw posted in the past making it really hard to share too since it was just one cob. The flavor overall though wasn't bad! The tacos were pretty good, very stuffed and the rice with beans that the meal came with was very filling. I couldn't finish everything because of how stuffed we already were with the apps so I had plenty to take home. I definitely would order the tacos again too, honestly. Good value for the price and tasted great! We shared a fried ice cream because they were out of churros. I was honestly expecting more of a fried outside, but it very much was just a ball of vanilla ice cream covered in fruity pebbles and maybe then that was fried. The ice cream was also extremely difficult to eat due to it being almost rock solid - you definitely have to wait for it to melt a bit before you really get to enjoy it. Overall, eating here was a good night. The service was really pleasant, the food tasted great, and we all had a wonderful time. I give the bartender with the curls a 5. The Drinks was good after two I felt the buzz. We waited 45 minutes just to get our appetizer. Which came with our entrees like what the hell? We looked around and seen it didn't seem too busy. So I don't understand why our food took forever. Was there 2 people working in the back? who's in charge ? I was treated well at Pink Taco. It started when I walked in. I was on foot, with a hiking backpack (external frame). I was as walking from the train station to my hotel. I figured it was too early to check in. My plan was to stop someplace for lunch. I then needed to use a restroom. I happened to be at this corner. So I picked the restaurant based solely on location. I had no issue just sauntering in to use the facilities. They didn't hassle me. I explained I'd eat after. Sometimes, proprietors are rude or skeptical, and they don't want you taking advantage of them to do your business. At the end of the meal, I realized I'd misplaced my wallet. I had come from New York City. (I later found it. I'd packed it in its usual place, probably because I was up at 3:30 for the cheap train). The waitress took down the credit card number. It was not an issue. I added a 33 percent tip to acknowledge the courtesy. I believe that is the right thing to do. I also overheard them at the next table, outdoors, being especially solicitous about allergies. They not only asked. They were worried even a bit of soy sauce, which the woman of the couple said she needed to avoid, was in the dish. Although it was early, there were folks enjoying themselves in the sun. A boisterous group of a half dozen had two bottles of wine. They had a cool new Polaroid camera. I asked; I'm the sort of person who talks to strangers, and the young woman showed off the photos. The camera looked more like an old twin lens, with a vertical orientation, and a leather case. I infer this venue attracts parties. It has a festive spirit. As for the food, I had the beef tacos. Our waitress was very helpful considering we had to repeat our orders a couple of times! The food was very tasty! Visited pink taco for brunch this past weekend with a large friends group and it was A-okay! I was excited to visit the Boston location as there are multiple locations, but the food was a let down for most of the dishes it seemed. I'd like to start with how aesthetically pleasing the restaurant is! It's a large space with tables, booths, and even a private event area. Lots of bright neon pinks, reds, and beautiful chesterfield booths! The wait staff who helped us was also wonderfully attentive. The cocktails were beautifully presented in bright neon colors as well. I personally had a non-alcoholic beverage and it was disappointing that my soda beverage cost the same as a craft beer. As for the food, 2 of us had the steak and eggs and WOW, I've never tasted such terrible steak for brunch. Completely dry and 100% unseasoned. There wasn't even a taste of salt or pepper in this dish. It was so odd because it's one of their brunch speciality dishes. The lobster enchiladas on the other hand were yum, with a slight spice kick which I loved. No one at the table raved about their dish or appetizer because it was underwhelming. Mexican food traditionally has a kick of heat and a variety of flavors, but the dishes at the pink taco lacked that. It left a lot to be desired and even seemed to be geared towards a watered down taste palette. Overall, the restaurant would benefit from refining their dishes to match the beautiful aesthetic. I never heard of pink taco until coming to Boston, although I've heard they have a location in LA. I ordered a combo of 2 fried fish tacos and 1 grilled shrimp and I was barely able to finish the food. I didn't find the food to be all that great, although I think many come for drinks and the atmosphere. It definitely felt like college town at 3pm for our late lunch on a Saturday. The grilled shrimp had really good flavor, but felt like there wasn't enough meat to the ratio of how much flour tortilla you get each bite (the tortilla itself was pretty thick in itself and homemade I'm assuming, which gets big props). Verdict: I didn't find the food to be so great and with the price of the meal, it felt like I was spending my paycheck on mediocre tacos. read more

2.5 Stars. OK if you have no other options and are fine with a typical mid-quality chain restaurant experience. Definitely not kid friendly. There's no kids menu and no real items on the regular menu to substitute unless you want leftovers or are sharing, because of the bigger size. They didn't bring the free chips to the table until we asked, long after ordering our food. The other reviews about the dark lighting are true. But mostly it was lunch time on the weekend and they had John Wick playing on multiple TVs, which is fine if you want to give younger kids nightmares. Food was just ok. Salsa that came with the chips was not a typical restaurant salsa, and also not that tasty. The crema they served was very salty and also had citrus in it, not palatable but thankfully we asked for it on the side. My very expensive spicy margarita was 100% not hand shaken, just tasted like the alcohol and mixers were poured over the ice and then it was brought to the table. Staff seemed nice, though not really anywhere near what you'd want when you go out. Service and getting the food were both slow... there were more empty tables than full ones so it probably could've been better. Then we had to ask for the check after waiting a long time. read more
