Worst Valentines Day dinner ever! They were completely understaffed for what is one of the busiest dinning out nights of the year. Reservation was at 830 we waited in line till 9 just to get to the host who I didn't see my first 15min in line. We were seated by 910 waited 20 min for the waiter who just gave our whole order since we could see where this was going. We were promised waters promptly never came. We than waited another 35min for our drinks which the bartender brought over and proceeded to tell us it's not his fault it took so long we didn't even say anything so the unprompted excuse was just unprofessional. By then it was about 10 and I was starving I asked my husband to go to the bar and just order chips and salsa he returned and says he was given attitude so probably never get it. By 1015 I was just done at this point the place had eaten up our entire evening so my husband went to the host to request a manager. He did come from the kitchen so not to sure if he was an actual manager or kitchen manager but he did come over to the table and apologize right as I was honestly making a reservation somewhere else and say he would comp our food and get it made right away and 20 min later we did receive it. Although when we did see our server for the SECOND time of the night to bring the check of course nothing was taking off and when we explained what we were told by manager he was no where to be found and all we received was $15 off for wasting at this point 3 hours there. It was highly disappointing we frequent this restaurant often but now after this idk I can step foot in there again just a complete shit show. Left and went to Shake Shack for Valentine's dinner and received better and faster service there. Never again attempting to eat at pink taco. Had a reservation at 7pm for Valentine's Day and didn't get seated until 7:20. Waitress arrived at 7:40 and we placed orders for one starter, two entrees, and our drinks all at once because we knew where this was headed. We waited about 40 minutes for our drinks (a water and a lemonade. That's it.) to come and then finally tapped out after waiting over an hour for our food. Not even our starter (chips and salsa. Again, that's IT.) came within that time. We left and went to the Shake Shack around the corner because it was 9pm (2 hours after our reservation) with no sign of our food ever getting to us. Also it is incredibly loud with obnoxious club music blaring at all times, good luck trying to have a conversation. It wasn't even that crowded. Complete waste of time, go to Shake Shack instead. If you're looking for authentic flavours or great flavours at all THIS. IS. NOT. THE. PLACE! The experience started with a waiter who dismissed that one of our "clean" glasses had a lip print on it. Then again, this was the same waiter who dipped his dirty hands in a container of lime wedges to rim a glass. The only plus side is that the food was somewhat aesthetically pleasing. I'm glad I made the trek from Brighton all the way to the seaport for this restaurant. The outdoor seating area is so nice. Set up on a street without a lot of traffic, so no excessive noise. It's a cute set up with plants creating a barrier and hanging lights making a nice atmosphere. The service was great! Our server was very attentive and took good care of us. The drinks all looked good, it was hard to decide. We all started with a frozen margarita in their seemingly signature pineapple cups. It was a lot of fun though also pretty sticky in the end. Two of my dinner mates got the spicy margarita afterwards and said it had a delicious kick. We all got a spread of some of their tacos and they were all excellent. A good mix of meat, topping, and sauce, each taco was 4 bites of bliss all the way through. Only complaint was my one vegetarian friend really didn't like their veggie tacos that are in the picture. She said the fried chunks of veggies were too big and too oily for her to enjoy. She didn't end up eating any of them, but she was the only one who didn't clean her plate at the table! This was a great place, the ambience was ex·quis·ite (copied from google cause I can't spell) with beautiful lighting. However I don't know why they were playing early 2000 pop songs but we also have a gender identity crisis but that's a different topic to discuss. Anyways, we took my mate out for his birthday. We saw the name "pink taco" and got excited but then found out it was just a restaurant. The chicken wings were the best I've ever had, slow roasted with the meat coming right off the bone! The tacos were really good, they come with 3 at $17 compared to two small ones you get at Lolita's. I was not expecting great Mexican food here, based on the overall "3 star" Yelp review, but was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the street corn and the chicken quesadillas; the street corn was juicy with a large amount of cojita cheese, and the quesadillas had an amazing avocado salsa and crema on top that lit up my taste buds. The atmosphere inside Pink Taco is a really "cool" vibe. The walls are covered in unique Mexican artwork, and lots of TVs are hanging throughout (would be a great place to watch any sports game). Service was slowwwwww, but it was almost 11 pm and they were quite busy for the holiday. I will definitely be back to try more items on the menu, and the margaritas! read more

I got the OG vegetarian taco. The taco was very flavorful and spicy. The tofu was marinated nicely. The taco shell seems to be made fresh at the restaurant. The chicken enchiladas were not the greatest. The chicken was dry and bland and the green sauce was not spicy. The cheese enchilada were well received by the kids. I did get the strawberry margaritas which was served in a pineapple. It was made well and he presentation was unique. The brownie desert came out warm and dressed with little pink sugar. It also came with a small vanilla ice cream and a pink sweet icing. The brownie itself was moist and rich. The service was quick, accurate and nice. The biggest issue was the price. If it was not for the happy hour, I would be looking at a large bill. I guess you are paying for downtown conference prices. read more

Two girls in our group got food poisoning here this weekend which completely ruined our night out in Boston as they were both profusely vomiting within the hour. It was from the the OG Pink Taco, pictured below before we realized it was poisoned. I was supposed to receive an email from them because I inquired if there were any other complaints from this night, but I have not heard back. I have eaten here twice before and have not had food poisoning, so I do not want to completely drag them. I think this food would be bad as the only Mexican place in a tiny town, let alone in seaport at seaport prices. One note- this was takeout and maybe they just aren't meant to do takeout. But takeout doesn't change the flavor or quality of the dishes. Don't order takeout!! The nachos were absolutely pathetic. They are just a pile of chips with all the toppings dumped on top. We had two chunks of chips that were at least 7 chips stuck together and fried, inedible. The entire thing is covered in pico de gallo and cilantro so you can barely taste anything else, with no strategy or balance to where the ingredients should go. Half the chips are covered in crap and half are empty normal tortillas. On that note I hope you like cilantro (I actually do, but not THIS much), because they seem to think every meal is made authentic by dumping an entire handful of cilantro on top. We asked for no cilantro too. The tortilla soup is served with the tortillas in it already- perfect if you like soggy mush! This was takeout and most places would think to provide those on the side. Otherwise it was fine. The carnitas torta was SO BORING. Like so flavorless, how can a food with this many toppings be so flavorless! I ended up taking it apart to try to save it and tried each ingredient individually- tomatoes unripe and watery. Avocado- bland. Carnitas- dry and boring, and way too much. Beans- worse than supermarket canned beans. Cheese- rubber. This dish sucked. The street corn was good. 1 star. read more

This place was the low side of mediocre. Such a disappointment. The decor is reminiscent of McDonald's windows we painted in highschool. The chairs are MISERABLY UNCOMFORTABLE. The signature pink tacos were bland. The fact that you can't get a plate with different kinds of tacos at a taco place is obscene. The chili relleno had chunks of unmelted cheese. The guac was good for some bites and had bad/overripe avocado in other bites. If you're going to get overpriced Mexican there are three other places within walking distance that are all better. When I was in MA I came here with a group of friends. This is such a fun place to go to. From the moment you get to the door the security guard was fabulous and super friendly. The margaritas were strong which we appreciated. Our server was new so we had their trainer and the manager checking in to make sure everything was good which was very nice of them. We got the nachos taquitos and tacos and everything was delicious. They also had a wal of patron bottles in the back and the art on the walls gave the place a great look. MOUSE DROPPINGS in dining area. We had dinner here, food was ok, service was actually great from our waitress. However, I noticed this shelf behind/ next to our booth and it was completely covered in dust and mouse droppings. It was so close to us that dust and mouse poop could have easily fell onto us/ our table. I pointed this out to the hostess, as respectfully as I could. Her only response was "thanks for letting us know" and then walked away without any acknowledgement or apology or resolution. After another 15 minutes we respectfully asked our waitress to see if there was a manager available and she sent the manager over. In the same calm respectful way we showed the manager what we found on this shelf. The manager said that they only clean the restaurant every 3 days and there was nothing they could do about it. !!!! What?! I understand deep cleaning every 3 days but this is basic maintenance clean should be done daily, there's no way that much dust and mouse poop should accumulate in the dining area ever. They didn't move us, or clean it, all she did was told us they would discounted our meal a bit and that was that. Well, we paid our waitress full tip from the original bill and moved on. On our way out we saw all the hostess and wait staff just sitting in the front of the restaurant, eating, scrolling on their phones with back turned away from the front door. After leaving, I looked through the window to see our table inside. They had wiped down the table for the next poor suckers but I could clearly see the dust and the white paper with the mouse poops I collected on the shelf. Shame. read more

We just ordered delivery, and while it was very filling and tasty, it was so disappointing. Although most of the meal was okay, the burrito is the ultimate reason for such a low review. Traditional burrito- simply inedible because the rice was so horribly undercooked/old and dry, I was worried I going to break a tooth. It's a shame bc the flavors were so tasty, but I could not bring myself to finish it. Especially for $18 just unacceptable Baja tacos- fish was tender, overall flavorful. On the cold side but will attribute that to delivery. Generous serving, but not the best taco we've had Street corn- very standard, a bit overcooked and charred but still the highlight of the meal. For such a standard meal of burritos and tacos, there are a number of better, more economical options in the area. Sadly not worth trying in person for me. read more

We came here on a Sunday morning before heading to Lawn on D for some lunch. The GPS takes you to the side street a little ways back from the corner in which you can see the inside of the restaurant but there is a locked entrance. We thought that the restaurant shut down, but once we walked all the way to the corner, we saw the actual entrance. The restaurant is actually fairly big with a LOT of seating. We ordered the chicken taquitos as an appetizer which were actually quite delicious! Will absolutely be getting them again. I also ordered the carne asada tacos which were great with a lot of tasty toppings which had really interesting and crunchy textures. I just wish that the beef was thinner and better seasoned. Also, there is only one taco on the menu which is pink. I would be a nice if all of the tacos were pink! Or at least a few more. Excited to try the pink taco next time! read more

I went to pink taco for a quick lunch on a Monday in the seaport. It was pretty crowded so I would assume it's a busy spot on weekends. The decor is cute and the windows are big and let a lot of natural light in. There is also outdoor seating. They had a bar area as well as high top tables and regular tables. The restaurant had about 12 flatscreens across all the walls. I found it a little distracting while having a conversation with friends but if you like watching sports it might be nice. The service was fine, not super fast or slow. The menu was pretty good. I got the fish tacos which were ok. Overall, pink taco may be a fun spot to get a drink on a night out but if you want good Mexican food I would not suggest going. read more

Before I get into the mess (because it was a mess), I want to give a shoutout to the service and our server who really tried to make sure we still had a good experience regardless of everything. Waited 15 mins before getting brought to a dirty table (?) even though there were more open tables. Stood there confused for a few minutes until someone came to wipe the table and seat us without menu's. After asking for menu's we put in drink orders that took 15 mins to come. Then participated in Taco Tuesday. Took about 25 mins to get 5 cold tacos that was super dry. I can't recommend the Carnitas, Pink, and Al Pastor tacos because they just weren't good. Basically finished the meal feeling super bummed out about everything. It's also extremely loud so good luck hearing... anyone. read more
