Sicilian pizza. Very dissatisfied. Top too well done cheese cheese was like rubber and crust was too chewy.

Sicilian pizza was too chewy and top was well done, the cheese was like rubber. Absolutely horrible.

Solid, no funny business, neighborhood pizza! sauce is slightly sweet, $20 is a very fair price these days. it's a tad sauce heavy but also nice and thin!

I really wanted to like this pizza, but found the plain cheese pizza just average. My mistake was not ordering a full Sicilian pie. The Sicilian slice was perfectly delicious with a wonderful tangy sauce. Service was classic Boston pizza parlor-est, same with ambience.

This was a staple for me and my friends in high school and great quality. Recently had it with my brother take out and got Sicilian Pizza with chicken. Pino's still has it and is a place for great pizza in Boston, though I prefer the normal crust personally.

Stopped in while in Area. Ordered a steak, onion, cheese Ok, could be better Should toast roll Steak not enough in sandwich Steak cooked too long Pinnochios in Harvard square makes same type slices of steak sandwich and is much better there Sorry to say... but they have twice the steak, toast roll, cook steak medium vs well done or burnt look Been eating at Pinos for 45 ... during BC visits, Boston late night pizza slices after Maryanns or Other spots...

    Man in charge.

Was in the Boston area and had to stop at Pino's to reminisce about my college days 38 years ago. I vividly recall walking down the hill to Cleveland circle with fellow classmates to grab a few slices. Weather it be regular style or Sicilian the pizza was hot, delicious and affordable. The walk back was always more enjoyable with a full belly. This time I ordered a Sicilian pizza with pepperoni, onion and olives and a Greek salad. Pizza was amazing as was the salad. Wish I lived closer. Give Pino's a try and create your own food memories!!

Great pizza, great service, great people! Norman gave us great service and continued to show his dedication to our experience at Pinos while bringing us napkins and asking how our meal was. Highly recommended, thank you Norman

We lived in Brighton, near here, many years ago, and finally had the chance to check this place out. Casual spot, reasonably priced. We liked the sauce, cheese and toppings; not as much the crust - a bit like the frozen pizza type, but overall, pretty good and not too heavy.

Disappointing pizza with mediocre ingredients, overcooked to a biscuit. It was not in any way better than Domino's.

Very well balanced - I especially liked the stracciatella. Taleggio Capeletti (7/10): A bit too rich and too salty for my tastes. I think this dish just needed something to cut through the richness. Still really good nonetheless. Lumache (8/10): The chew on the pasta is impeccable!! The chew on those mushrooms is also insane. Texture-wise, this dish was a home run. For some reason, I kept getting hints of something resembling boar taint in the sauce flavor itself. Not sure why... I don't think there was meat? I feel like I would've given this dish a 10/10 had it not been for the hint of that flavor. Service was very friendly and fast. The restaurant is small, but the seating didn't feel too tight. Even though I gave it a 5/5, I actually don't know if I would come again. The pasta was very steeply priced for not that much food. Although the capeletti was surprisingly filling, I'd rather feel full on carbs than full on pure butter and cheese.

It looked good but I was there for the pizza and only the pizza! I did not call ahead so I got two slices, which were heated up by the clerk. I got a drink, as well. The pizza was out pretty quickly and I was excited to taste it. The one issue is was that it was really hot. I waited and finally took a bite. The pizza (see pic) was very thin and somewhat greasy. I blame the grease on the fact that it was a slice and not a fresh full pizza. I am not sure if I am right, but that was what it seemed like. The slices were good size and a solid taste. I liked it. With excellent pizza, service and a great cocktail and wine menu, everything they offer is excellent. We have been only a few times mainly because this place gets so jam packed that it is hard to get a table. Small, quaint and cute neightborhood gem. You can tell all the locals flock to this place every weekend. The bar is also perfect to grab a quick bite and it is first come first serve. Move over Tatte because this Spiced Carrot Soup was phenomenal. And, I mean it. From asking the owner to "how do I make this at home" to practically wanting to order another bowl. And, don't get me started on their homemade foccacia bread that came with it. Every dunk of this bread into the luscious soup had me craving more and more. Best part, I was actually full. Hallelujah! All I have to say is head to Jinny's for their pizza, but don't forget they have a whole menu to choose from as well. And, everything tastes great and is nice and fresh. You will definitely stay awhile eating and drinking here at this cozy spot. Cheers~

One of the very best pizza spots in and around Newton!…read more The dough is amazing. It's soft and pillowy, just how I like my crust. Everything is fired in a wood oven, that you can get a full view of in the open concept kitchen. Seating is pretty limited, but in the summer there are a few outdoor tables. It's a great spot for take out as well, although parking can be a challenge at peak times. The pizza is a smaller size and runs north of $20. It's worth it, but more for the artisan pizza taste and quality. This likely isn't the place you're going to buy 10 pizzas for the SuperBowl, but if you're looking for high quality ingredients and the perfect dough, this is your spot. The available specialty pizzas are great combinations of flavors. I think they even do one with pineapple, as controversial as that is for some people. I saw the Rosso Pie online, but not on the menu when I went to dine-in. The friendly waiter was more than happy to request it for me from the kitchen. Sometimes I like a pie with no cheese on it. Difficult to find great pizza in MA, but this place fits the bill. Great pizza, great people.
