I went to brunch here Sunday and was very disappointed. The server was not welcoming at all. He did not stop by to ask if we needed anything. The water was very warm and when I asked for ice he only gave us one cup of ice for three people. Pinstripes is definitely a nice establishment and a great way to spend a birthday but be prepared to spend a lot of money. Honestly a little too overpriced - bowling has never been this expensive. I do love the new technology they do have so that was a plus especially having kids with me, but still overhyped. Overall was an enjoyable time but the hour went by so quick! The servers have huge sections so you have to hunt them down to serve you. It seems that they have a standard way they do their events because the food and venue seems the same everywhere I go. Food is served buffet style for the whole venue/party in a separate room than the alleys which was nice for sit down space. Their pizza is great, crispy crust and flavorful and I liked that they brought out multiple kinds and they were all vegetarian. I liked both salads, a bummer the bruschetta was out as soon as it came in and wasn't refilled. The spanakopita was flaky and soft, just didn't understand how it fit in with the more Italian theme. Service was very kind and diligent about clearing plates! The bowling was also great too, lots of lanes but a bit cramped in space. Liked how the shoes were prepped on the outside table - would have been nice to see some food by the tables in the actual alley so people could eat if they wanted instead of bowling and be around people still but not bad! This place is a joke. $650 for 6 people to bowl and brunch, which is essentially fake eggs and some bacon. If you want omelets/waffles or anything good you're gonna spend a lot of time waiting. For brunch you have to walk past the entrance which has 20+ people waiting for whatever which is just ridiculous. The bowling is a joke as well. Our reservation was for 12 and we didn't get upstairs until 12:29. They cut our time short AND our lanes were broken down for a solid 25 minutes and yet our time kept ticking away. We will NEVER be back, and anyone looking to come here should look elsewhere because it's not worth the money by a long shot read more

What a great place for lunch! My wife and I tried Pinstripes in Oak Brook for lunch for the first time on a Friday. We didn't know what to expect, and we were very pleasantly surprised! First off our server, Christian, welcomed us as first time diners, and made some suggested some of his favorites from the menu. We each started with the lobster bisque soup which had pieces of butter soaked lobster resulting in the tastiest and best prepared lobster bisque that I've had anywhere in the Chicago area. Next up my wife ordered the Superfood Salad with Grilled Salmon and I ordered the Famous Prime Rib Dip sandwich for main courses. The presentation of each meal was nothing short of wonderful and both tasted as good as they looked. The salmon was properly grilled and was undoubtedly fresh. The quinoa, goat, cheese, raspberries, spiced, candy, pecans, avocado, and baby spinach all complimented each other. We thought that the salad came with kale as well, but we didn't notice any. The prime rib dip sandwich started with a pretzel bun. That was just the right size. The prime rib was tender, lean, and was complemented buy a ramekin of Anjou gravy and and mild horseradish sauce. Our family of 40 people celebrated my sister's milestone birthday today at this place. We reserved the event space which includes the brunch. Ashley was the manager on duty. We had such a fun event thanks to Ashley and the two waiters she assigned to take care of us. They helped us to decorate the space. They provided what we needed. Brunch was fantastic!!! All the guests enjoyed it including the kids. Chocolate fondue is a hit with everyone. Variety of the food was amazing. Staff were very attentive to our needs. They made sure we are not too warm nor too cold. Overall it went perfect and we all had a blast!!! PS photos came out well. Ashley the manger was the best!!! Made a reservation here for Sunday brunch. Upon arrival we checked in and were seated promptly. We were brought water and our server took our drink order immediately. We opted for the bottomless selections which was great because there were 3 types of drinks to choose from ( mimosas, Aperol spritz and one i can't remember but it was good). We liked this because you weren't locked in to one thing. The buffet was very good. There were breakfast foods like sausage, bacon, eggs and a waffle and omelet station. There was also a nice selection of lunch items which were refreshed on a regular basis. These included chicken tenders, pizza, pasta, french fries, salads and brussel sprouts. (I really loved the brussel sprouts). There was also a dessert table but I was too full to partake in dessert. Overall it was a lovely brunch. Our server was amazing. I love Pinstripes! I've been to this location many times. It's been around for years. The service is always great and I really enjoy the upbeat atmosphere. The food has been consistently delicious, and it's always super fun to bowl and drink after dinner! Today, my friend and I came here for brunch. It was seriously amazing! They have an unlimited buffet and the food they offer is top notch. It's probably the best buffet that I've been to! They have an omelette station where you can pick your ingredients and they make you an omelette right there. They also have a waffle station with many different toppings to choose from- I was impressed. Other food served in the buffet: Ham, pasta dishes, Mac and cheese, pizza, sausage, bacon, bagels(many different kinds to choose from), eggs, chicken, breakfast potatoes, cookies and other sweets, etc. Oh, and there's a chocolate fountain! Not the place I would go for a work party for an older crowd. Service was sparse and you're kind of left on your own to figure the games out (at least on the bocce side). Food was pre-ordered and we had a start time set, but it took quite a while for it to be put out and the manager ended up doing it which makes me think they were short of staff all over? People are friendly enough and it is a nice location and clean. The bar does a nice job on drinks and I can't really fault the food just because I'm not a fan of flatbreads because that's what the people planning the party chose. read more

Then to add insult to injury, gratuity was listed as 20%, but calculated to 23.32%. Asked for the manager to explain and she could not. March 21 my husband and I went to partake in some bowling. I am a 57 year-old black woman. My husband is a 58-year-old white man. First they gave us a little bit of a hassle about reservations when they clearly had lanes open. Then we make the mistake of putting our actual pictures on the scoreboard. My picture was quickly adorned with an elephant tusk, big red lips with gold teeth, a fez and then topped it all off with bananas, being showered at the screen. We had reservations here for a party of 9 for Easter (April 9, 2023). From arrival to departure - and everything in between - this was a complete BUST all around. 1. Our seating was in the back end of the restaurant, but this was really not part of the restaurant, nor was this old area ever designed to be a restaurant setting. It seemed to be an old car dealership or "Midas" repair shop at one point - concrete floor/walls, high ceilings, 10-12 "garage doors", and large windows all around. No drapes or blinds, so for about an hour of our event the sunlight was in all of our faces based on where we were seated. The tables were glorified outdoor pic-nick type tables, chairs were glorified folding chairs (just with cushions). Because of the other tables around us, we all felt like we were shouting to each other during conversation, because as described above, the acoustics/aesthetics was never designed to be a restaurant. This added on area might suffice for large gatherings or hall-type events, but it was never designed to be for dining or entertainment unless it becomes properly renovated. 2. From the get-go, the service was borderline awful. The servers seemed nice, but just lost or completely overwhelmed. We wanted separate checks (one check for 5, the other for us 4). Seems simple enough, but for whatever reason, the servers said that was not possible and gave us some reason which made no sense. We told them to just pretend we were 2 separate tables, but we were told that still could not be done. After about 7 minutes of discussing this, we just gave up. At the end, we had to divide our check up amongst ourselves. 3. Food was pretty expensive, and you didn't get large portions. No sides, at least for what we ordered there weren't any. Everything (soups, salads, even bread) was "extra" - and pricey. $7 for a small cup of soup? We asked for some plain cheeseburgers and even specified "patty and cheese only" and they came with everything, so those had to be sent back. Could we have scraped the stuff off, yes probably, but for $17+ a burger and fries, we sent them back. The size and quality of the burger was no different than what you would get at Culvers or maybe Buona Beef for about 6 bucks. One of us ordered a beer which was $8, and it came in some type of wine glass. The amount of beer didn't even constitute a full regular 12 oz. bottle - ripoff. Service was very slow, unorganized, chaotic. Various plates came to our table, but they were meant for another table. Some of our plates were either wrong (i.e. our cheeseburgers), or were missing things (our lasagna, which came without the meatballs that we asked for extra). A few minutes later, a few glasses of wine came to our table, which were also meant for another table - a few of our plates came late because they had been delivered to a wrong table. We had about 5-6 different waiters/servers throughout our 2 hours there, and nobody just seemed to know what they were doing. Just to get our check at the end took about a half hour - we eventually had to walk out and approach somebody at the bar (inside the actual restaurant) to officially pay our bill. To conclude: We could not recommend this place to anybody, for any real reason - unless maybe you have a gift card that you have to burn, or are invited here for some work or family function and you HAVE to go. Couldn't even recommend the food or prices for a "to go" option, because nothing here was that special. You could get much better food or a burger at Outback or any other similar place, for less. Service was bad (the employees WERE nice, but just bad service and policies - sorry. There should be no reason parties can't get separate checks), food was just okay (but overly pricey with small portions and no sides), the setting/seating/aesthetics/ambience of the old Midas or car dealership 'garage' in the back part of the restaurant was AWFUL. We would never come back here by choice, and we wish we could have a re-do for our Easter 2023. read more

Just came here for a brunch with the girls for one of the girls birthday and have only heard good things about this place. Idk if the place was just too hyped out by friends but the brunch buffet was not is was all worked up to be. I thought the waffles were the best thing there, but there wasn't much of an option for lunch foods and most were dried out. Excited for the desserts but that was also a bit of a let down. Bottomless Mimosas were good, but can't really go wrong with them. I went here with my colleagues and had absolutely zero expectations as I hadn't even looked this place up or anything. All I knew was that there was bowling and bocce. I was pleasantly surprised at the niceness of it and how good the food was. Several of us at the table got the Maple Glazed Salmon. Very lovely presentation as well as excellent flavors in all of it - the salmon, side of ancient grains salad, and side of cucumber/tomato/avocado salad. The salmon may have been cooked a tick too much for my liking but it was by no means overdone. I also heard rave reviews about the jambalaya from a few others at my table. We then went over to play bocce. I loved the indoor/outdoor feel. A waitress served us drinks - sadly she didn't seem thrilled to be at work which is always a disappoint to me when the person can't even crack a smile or look like they're enjoying themselves at least a little. Once again Pinstripes never failed me. After My Yoga Workout upstairs we came down to enjoy a nice Sunday Funday Brunch. Me and My mom came here on Sunday for a yoga class and headed downstairs to start our brunch date. I never had to wait to get a table and everyone is just so well trained. The food is always freshly cooked. So, much food and a chocolate fondue fountain that is surround around wonderful treats to dip your treats.
