A family favorite to play games and get good food & drinks. Located at Prairie Fire in Overland Park here is what we love about Pinstripes kid friendly bowling, with a modern twist. happy hour Monday thru Friday 3-6pm offering discounted cocktails, beers, wines and bites. full service at your lane. No need to leave the kids to go get food or drinks. Your friendly server will take care of everything directly at your lane. make reservations online in advance to avoid any wait times. awesome monthly promotions. February is buy one hour get one hour free (weekdays only). Don't want to bowl? Try a game of bocce or stop by for dinner & drinks. The patio will be open soon!

I wouldn't usually think of coming here for their dining--just a special occasion or specifically for bocce and bowling; however, after experiencing the bistro for dinner with my friend for New Years' and weekend brunch lately I am blown away by the presentation, quality of food, service, and ambiance! They have amazing weekday deals and promos for holidays. Note that they have a seasonal menu. The quality of all their bistro menu items are excellent, as my favorite item this past season was the burrata and acorn squash salad, lobster bisque, and wings (all the flavors lol)! I appreciate that they also have mocktails -- particularly the ginger rose. The rosemary stem definitely elevates it and is something I don't usually see in mocktails. The service has been good every time I've gone for bistro dining and for their epic brunch (the chocolate fondue fountain though). I'd definitelyyy make reservations for any holidays, events like graduation season, or if they have any event promos! If their parking lot is full, there's a parking garage right across the street! The indoor and outdoor patio space is beautiful!

This was a fun evening. We had a large group and started upstairs. The server team was understaffed so it took a while to get drinks out. The buffet food was alright. Decent ravioli, the salad was fresh. The sausage and meatballs were fairly bland. It was good, but nothing to write home about. The bowling lanes were cramped. It was hard to move around due to the tight isles. The couches are comfy, but they fill the space. Everyone had fun, so that was the important part.

Love the Thursday night Summer scene at Pinstripes. They were able to accommodate a group our size and did a great job with service. My favorites dishes are the the brussell sprouts, flat bread and the salmon entree, but they also have some fun drinks as well (although my go-to is the lemon drop martini).

I came here before for the all you can eat brunch buffet, but outside of that, I came here for the Valentine's Day special. The special was a heart shaped pizza and chocolate covered strawberry gelato. I went on Valentine's Day somewhere around noon and I had the best time ever as a solo date. My waitress was super nice and didn't make me feel weird about being there alone. There were about six or seven other people there but we were pretty spread out because the place is pretty big. I'm excited to see what other promos they will have in the future And I will absolutely be back!

Pinstripes was actually Good, with a decent brunch menu. A bottomless option for both mimosa and Bloody Mary's ..it's a two limit, but still.. it was good enough to satisfy. Not crazy about it, but maybe one day I'll venture in there again.

Friendly service, they check on you but don't hover.Had the combo lunch Cobb salad and lobster flatbread. You get a nice portion of each for a total of $16.

We loved our two hours playing bocce ball and enjoying the happy hour offerings. What a fun game to learn! Perfect for 2-4 people. Service was fabulous. HH drinks were great. The food ratings were all over the place... HH sausage and pepper pizza: delicious crust, but otherwise, very bland! We added red pepper flakes and ranch. HH hummus duo: we sent this one back! I love hummus and guacamole and they were both awful! Hummus was both bland and pasty - practically like glue. The guac didn't even taste like avocados, lime, salt, cilantro - it didn't taste like anything really. It's kind of hard to describe! But the veggies and bread that came with it were great! Super fresh. HH pretzel: I can't remember a pretzel that didn't come with any salt on it, but this one didn't. The cheese sauce was very salty though, so I guess it worked out! It comes with mustard as well. Cobb Salad: the best menu item we got! The cubed turkey was very processed, so skip that if you're not into processed meats. It was so pink, I thought it was ham at first. Otherwise, absolutely delicious! Oh, and if it's your birthday , tell them! I was expecting small little sprinkle topped sundae, but this thing was delicious! Homemade whipped cream and chocolate sauce, a brownie, pretzel bits, all over vanilla ice cream. Yum!

The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating in helping us set up a team FIFA tournament. The pizza was fantastic! Atmosphere of the place is fun and inviting.

It cost us $123 for 4 of us to bowl for an hour. So for that price you'd expect a great bowling alley. Nope. The lane was so messed up you couldn't even bowl correctly. It slanted major to the right and have a hump in the middle. Made it very frustrating. Also there was chunks of mud in our lane. We tried to clean it up. We will never come back here. Very different from when we visited a few years ago.

We were seated on time at a table next to the bar-side of the dining room. Speaking of the dining room, it's a nice, if standard size for a strip-mall space, but I really appreciated that the tables were not stacked on top of each other, as seems to be the case at more and more places these days. It felt like there might be some chance of our entire conversation not being completely overheard by our neighbors, which was nice for a change! Our waitress was fantastic! She walked us through the menu, the restaurant's approach to cooking and seasonality, some of her faves, and made wonderful recommendations! We decided to split a few small plates, which was a great approach! We got to try about 1/3 of the small plate menu, and loved it all! It was all great, but the Black Cardamom Burnt Ends are NOT to be missed! It made my cardamom-loving, Midwest soul very, very happy indeed! The space is a really nice size - not massive or overwhelming - and with the shades drawn down (to seal out the late afternoon sun, thank goodness!) and dim lighting, the mood vibes were solid for a romantic anniversary dinner! The other ambiance item of note is that the restroom corridor smelled absolutely fantastic! Upon investigation, it was due to a burning candle from a lovely local-KC company that was custom made for the restaurant! Yes, they're for sale, and yes, we picked up two! While everything was lovely and the food was very good, you're definitely paying a high price for it. Not that it's not deserved, but the "value" feels aren't necessarily "off the charts", by any means. And that is really my only critique, if there is any at all! I'm glad we did - it was a fun, casual, easy outing to celebrate the holiday. The reason for the average review is mostly for the price. We paid $112 for 4 people for an hour and a half, which feels steep to me - this is definitely not something I'd want to pay for outside of a special occasion. Additionally, they request tips for your coach/server on not just your food/drink bill - but on the bill for the entire experience, making your tip at least $25 on top of your total. If you order drinks, you're not escaping here for under $200. I want our server to be fairly tipped, but tipping that much more for what was essentially a 5-minute how-to at the beginning of our experience feels a little rich. All that said, our coach was very friendly. The facility is well-maintained and clean. I do like the layout, with tables at the end of each lane where you can sit with your party. They have a nice booklet of suggested games to try - which really help give some structure to what would otherwise be an hour and a half of throwing an axe. It is also nice that they still allow you up to 3 alcoholic beverages while throwing weapons - haha. The 1.5 hour session is the perfect amount of time - it allowed just to play 2 full games, and throw around for a while. In the last 15 minutes or so, we were feeling like we definitely had our fill. Axe-throwing is really something you only need to do once, or maybe every couple of years, but we had a good time.

During our meal, our server accidentally spilled two full Diet Pepsis directly onto me--soaking my clothes, running down my legs, and into my shoes. Accidents happen, and I stayed calm and simply moved my family (including my wife, young son, and in-laws) to another table so we could continue the meal. What was surprising was what didn't happen next. No manager ever came over to apologize, check on the situation, or acknowledge what happened. There was no effort to make it right in any way. At the end of the meal, we were still charged the full amount without any mention of the incident. I'm not looking for handouts--but some basic recognition that I was sitting there in cold, soaked pants for the rest of my dinner and the drive home would have gone a long way. I don't expect perfection, especially at a place I've returned to many times, but I do expect basic customer service and accountability--particularly when something this disruptive happens. The lack of response from management was the most disappointing part. I hope this is taken as constructive feedback, because this experience was far below the standard I've come to expect here.

Make reservations because they had a two hour wait for walk-ins. For appetizers we shared their burnt ends. Tender and sauced perfectly. For dinner we shared a wedge salad, their mashed potatoes, asparagus (a must!), and their tomahawk steak! Instead of doing three separate steaks we did the one and it was a perfect size for all of us to share! The steak was tender and well seasoned, mashed potatoes creamy, and the asparagus was prepared in a way we hadn't had before - highly recommend! We also had their dessert lemon meringue pie and coconut cream pie! Really really good! Wine options: amazing! Bourbon options: classy! We couldn't give it five stars for two main reason: 1. We made a reservation for 7pm, arrived and check in at 6:50 and still had to wait just over 30 minutes to be seated. We learned that walk-ins had been seated ahead of us so we needed to wait for some tables to leave before we could be seated. This was a bit surprising. We understand waiting a few minutes, but 30 min is not okay. 2. The sweet server assisting us for dinner was in training and we learned from her "trainer" that she wouldn't be getting any of the tips from our dinner. Additionally, the "trainer" came over around 830 to tell us that although it was only three of us that gratuity is automatically included. Very odd that we were told these things during our meal. The server being trained should absolutely get a portion of the tips - we hope restaurant management reconsiders their policy on this especially since we hardly saw her "trainer". We normally tip over the 20% but because the trainer didn't get any of our tips, we opted to not increase the tip that was automatically charged to us. All in all really classy restaurant and food was delicious! We'll be back for sure!

The space was nice and clean, but unfortunately, the service and the "famous" main course didn't quite deliver a stellar performance. Our table was split--some wanted dinner, some wanted dessert. This apparently threw our waiter into a state of deep existential confusion. The Food: I ordered their "famous" fried chicken, customizing it to three thighs (which came with homemade pickles and a fantastic ham gravy). For $24, it wasn't bad, but it's definitely not "famous" for flavor--maybe just famous for the price tag. Honestly, I could have filled up at Popeyes for a fraction of the cost. Surprisingly, the absolute star of my meal was the side of sautéed mushrooms. It came with little pearl onions, shallots, and green peas. I topped it with some of my friend's arugula to make it fancy, and it was delicious. The Service (or lack thereof): Here's where it went downhill. The dessert order became a saga. Those who ordered sweets expected them to arrive with the mains, but we had to ask several times just to get them toward the end of the meal. By the end, our waiter seemed completely frustrated with our existence. He aggressively boxed up the remaining desserts and semi-forcefully shoved the credit card machine into our faces to shuffle us out the door. Great mushrooms, aggressive math at the end. Proceed with caution.

Several dishes were overly salted, and the Caesar salad was especially sad--wilted lettuce and lacking freshness. The restaurant was very crowded, but not adequately staffed to handle the volume. Service was slow throughout the night, and they ran out of items on the Restaurant Week menu. I was served melted sorbet and had to send it back. Our dinner took nearly three hours, largely due to long stretches of waiting to be served or checked on. Busy nights are understandable, but the lack of pacing and execution really took away from what could have been a much better experience. They had a jazz band playing which was a nice experience. If you go, ask for a table on the right. We were on the left side and about frozen every time the front doors opened, which was a lot while the band was bringing in their equipment.

the perfect patio dinner! you get yummy food, good service, and great views. we booked our…read morereservation for 4 ppl at 6pm so we'd could do a sunset walk at the park in the area right after dinner and the timing was perfect. i heavily recommend the bang bang shrimp, verbena wedge, and the "you're a peach" drink as stand out menu items! my friend got the pan- seared amish chicken breast and didn't enjoy it but waitress was able to comp it off her meal and get her a replacement dish pretty quickly. we will definitely be coming back!

I attended a bachelorette party dinner at Verbena recently and it was a fun excuse to check this…read moreplace out since it's been on my radar for quite some time. The first thing to note here is that Verbena is located inside the hotel at Meadowbrook and it's gorgeous. The hotel is picturesque, and the restaurant is no different. It's elegant, vibey in an upscale way, and has that kind of ambiance that makes you feel like it's worth it to spend a little money here - which spoiler alert- you will! Before dinner I do as I always do and surveyed the menu from home to see what sounds good and when I got there I stuck with my choices and ordered two drinks - one that had a tiki flair, and after their spin on an old fashioned. For dinner I chose their cauliflower entree. We will start with the drinks: no notes. I forget the names of what I had but the tiki inspired one had rum and it was honestly one of the better rum drinks I've had in some time. It was sweet but not overpowering and the rum was perfectly complimented. It was so good I had to switch drinks for round two because I knew I'd drink another one of these too fast! Thir riff on an old fashioned was excellent as well. These are honestly my barometer for a bartender as I make them at home all the time and I enjoy seeing how others take a classic and elevate it at a place like this. I knew it would be good when they asked if I wanted rye or bourbon, which was a thoughtful question. I went with bourbon and it was also excellent. Not too sweet and perfectly sippable. Now I'm going to get into why I'm rating it 4/5 and not 5/5 because it honestly could be 5/5. To be fair to Verbena I think this could be just due to the group I was with so I'll return sometime and see if I feel differently, but here is my one critique: the price point and the entree size. I eat out at nice places a fair amount and while I don't make it a regular occurance to pay $30+ for an entree, I do when I got out and I was planning on dropping some money here. What wasn't clear to me is that at dinner I think the set up here is meant for you to order a salad and then an entree to make a full meal. Or pair an entree with one of their other small plates to begin, sort of like Farina. The difference is when I went to Farina they were very clear about this at the start so our whole table all ordered a starter and then an entree and so forth - yes it was very pricey, but our expectations were set from the start. Now, this might have happened if it wasn't for our group. I was with a younger crowd and they all had been before and they all ordered salads as entrees - I'm not 25 anymore and not afraid to order a real meal (enter face palm here) so I ordered a standard entree and I expected at the price point (especially in the 'burbs) to be a more standard entree size. The cauliflower steak was honestly DIVINE - the flavors were perfect and loved every bite, but it was at the end of the day a $30 singular piece of cauliflower with some sauce and while it was great, I left hungry and even texted my husband that after spending around 80 dollars here I was going to probably pick up taco bell after this party was over. Now, again I'm going to reiterate that I was here with a group and the server did an excellent job of trying to meet everyone where they were at and I am probably 10 years older than most at the table so my expectations and life experience is just different. Verbena is an awesome spot and on my way home I was thinking about how I need to return for a happy hour to get more of those great drinks and try it out again. the tl;dr of this is if you go for dinner I'd order a salad and and entree - or ask them about how to best set up your meal. Plan to spend some money, and have fun. It's a really elegant spot in JOCO.
