I reached out to Pioneer for a quote on a mini-split for our garage. While Alek was here,I mentioned our current HVAC doesn't adequately cool the 2nd floor and that there can be an 8 or 9 degree difference between floors. Alek went above and beyond, assessing the current system and discussing options. He even returned a second time to investigate further. Their prices for the repairs were fair and it was easy to pay them. They needed parts for the fridge, but it only too two days to get the parts and return to repair it. I got a quote from Yelp and they contacted me to set up an appointment for the next day. Denis arrived promptly and inspected my HVAC unit. After taking some measurements, he explained that there seemed to be a small leak in the system that was causing my Freon to leak out, and that's why my AC was not blowing cold air. He injected some "glue" into the system to plug the leak and refilled the Freon. My system is now blowing cold air and he said if I ran into any issues that I should contact them again! read more

Thermostat failed and home A/C wouldn't turn on. Sent out a request on Yelp and 3 companies responded with automated responses that said, "Call us." Pioneer messaged back that they could fit me in TODAY! I called, they actually picked up the phone. They said they'd send Denis out between 11-1. Get this, he showed at at 12:15pm. By 1pm, the new thermostat was installed, the house was cooling down again, and now I'm here writing this review to say, "Thank you!" to Pioneer, to Denis, and I guess to Yelp, whose reviews and platform facilitated this. I have now asked Pioneer for an estimate on a garage installed mini-split A/C system. I would gladly recommend Pioneer to a friend. I would not recommend Seaside Air Conditioning. They automatically replied to me and said, "Call us". I replied, "Can I schedule via Yelp messaging?" They responded, "Call us." So, I called them on the phone ...aaaaand they didn't answer. So I messaged back, "Hey, no one answered when I called." The response came back, "We are all on the phone and we have no openings till Saturday." I was frustrated and replied, "So then why did you ask me to call if you weren't going to answer and wouldn't come til Saturday?" Their reply? "Call us." NO THANK YOU. After reaching out to several air conditioning contractors, Pioneer Air Conditioning was the only one able to come out the same day to investigate the issue--and they did it at no charge! Igor arrived promptly and quickly diagnosed the unfortunate reality: our unit was beyond repair. Thankfully, he had a replacement unit in stock and offered to install it the very next day. On Friday, Igor and his crew arrived just after noon and worked tirelessly until about 6 PM to get the new unit installed. The new unit is quieter, more efficient, and is doing an excellent job of keeping our home cool.
