Terrible!!! Our home warranty company (Cinch) sent them out and not only did they not fix the SIMPLE problem, they made it worse and then left saying it was fixed!! After going through the recall process the Pipe Doctor would only come back out to do upgrades that we did not request and which are not covered under the home warranty. Over $1200 of upgrades for a simple leaky shower head! We called our own plumber out and said all we needed was a new cartridge. He showed me the one he took out and it was obviously old and never replaced by pipe doctor!! Our plumber had it fixed in an hour and that included running to the hardware store for the part! Gerrod came out with Pipe Doctor 24/7, via One Guard Home Warranty. The reason for the call was, the plumber that installed our Charger Water Softener in June neglected to install a tube on the overflow elbo. We have salt water on the floor, which is eating the paint and the cement on the floor. Gerrod, saw there was a missing tube, took pictures of the elbo and took pictures of the floor damage. Gerrod told One Gurad that this issue was due to lack of maintenance. Not sure what a missing tube has to do with maintenance? So we called the manufacturer, there is no maintenance on our unit. Pipe Doctor 24/7 sent me a quote for $695.00 to do maintenance on the water softener. I replied to them and told them what the manufacturer said about, there is no maintenance on our unit, no word back. This is company a scam, and trying to rip homeowners off. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Pipe Doctor 247 was sent by my home warranty company for a leaking toilet. Their tech claimed the leak came from a toilet paper holder hanging on the side of the tank. That's ridiculous. In the photos and video I sent my warranty company, it was obvious the crack was in the back middle of the tank, a good eight inches away from the holder. My warranty company overturned their denial immediately. After that, Pipe Doctor 247 tried to charge me $300 for "non-covered expenses" like a waterline modification and hazardous waste fee. This company is dishonest, unprofessional, and it's no wonder they already have bad reviews. Avoid them completely. read more

These guys are clowns. They changed our appointment the day before the appointment after waiting a week for the appointment. This was a Ftiday appointment before a 3 day weekend, So the following Tuesday we had to call them and ask when the new time was. The plumber shows up and looks like we are putting him out for even having to come out to our home. Proceeds to walk into my home like he lived her before I said come in. The plumber parked my driveway again like he lived here. Overall I wouldn't hire these clowns to unclog a toilet let alone some real work. Worst experience ever, instead of answering basic question to my wife stated did not have to answer walked out and slammed my door.

Service requested to repair Water Softener which had excessive water in the Brine tank and was not operating. Warranty company assigned Plumber on May 30, home evaluation on June 6th, Warranty company advised that service not a repair, and Maintenance would not be covered. June 13 Plumber removed Brine Bridge, excess water, cleaned venturi of resin tank for $689.00 (paid by me and $100 to Sears HW), and put back into service. June 23, Plumber and the Warranty Company (Sears Home Warranty) were advised Water Softener has excess water and no soft water from Softener. Same as original problem and learned the Resin tank had been ruptured from the beginning and the water softener must be replaced. Pipe Doctor 247 proposed to install a new water softener provided by me, remove the old water softener, flush the water heater and house plumbing and faucets (said it now caused a major problem). Warranty company continued to say not covered (June 30) but supported paying $3300 to Pipe Doctor 247. Their proposal was not accepted by me. The final solution was to have the new Water Softener ($842) installed and old removed ($450), water heater flushed ($49.00), flushed house lines and cleaned faucets ($0). Performed by 2 , 4 star Plumbing Companies and myself on July 11,2025. Total actual costs $1188 versus $3889 with Pipe Doctor 247 proposal. Started on May 30 and completed on July 11, 42 day process. read more

He was so professional and able to navigate me asking thousands of questions about the work being done. I will keep their card handy for any other work needed. I really appreciate the professionalism! I'm going to assume that these bad reviews came before Blair was on the team because I had such a positive experience. Called for a leak in piping to hot water heater. They fixed the leak turned electrical and water back on and left. Did not even stay to make sure water heater was heating water after turning water back on. Well I have not had hot water for 3 days trying to contact them so I had to call another plumbing company to finish the job. I contacted them 3 times once thru text and twice by telephone and they did not get back to me as promised from first contact. Just be aware if you use them. read more

I know they are trying to save gas and visit when they have more customers in the area. 2. Took them 3 appointments to finally do something. First 2 appointments the technician just created more problems. 3. It has been 3 days since their last visit and still haven't submitted the report to the warranty company for processing. I requested service on a leak. I knew that my toilet was an issue, but the meter was still spinning. First off, the technician, kept closing the door behind him when he came into the house multiple times. I was home alone and this made me very uneasy. Maybe it's their protocol, but at least ask so the environment doesn't get awkward. On the repair end, the tech was not very informative in his communication to me and it caused confusion altogether. When the technician (master plumber) called me, he had no empathy for the situation and really had no care in explaining anything to me so that I can understand it. He outright said that my service wasn't covered by the warranty company and that he couldn't go into specifics. Well, ok then. To add, I'm obviously going to need this repair done as it's in the foundation, and I was planning to use this company. However, after the conversation with the customer service representative who practically yelled at me on the phone saying I heard wrong and with the tech who was outright rude in his tone and words, I will not go with them. Excavation, leak detection needed- maybe the work was too cut out for them... I'll never know. I hope you all have a better experience than me. read more

They said this pipe was crushed by an object, or frozen and damaged. This pipe is interior to my home and has never been exposed to freezing or a falling object. I'll just let you read the email to the company that I have never received a response from: I had a technician come out to my house on Wednesday 4/2 to look at our low water pressure coming out of both front and back outdoor faucets. My husband and I noticed this about a week ago and contacted our home warranty about the issue and they scheduled your company to come out. Once the plumber arrived on Wed and rang my doorbell, I went to answer and the guy just stood there in silence. He did not greet me and introduce himself at all. I had to just jump into explaining what is going on with our outdoor faucets and show him. He barely spoke any words to me during the entire inspection acting like he was put off for even being on this call. He was unkind and was unprofessional; he seemed inexperienced having a make phone calls to other people to help suggest what he should look at. When he seemed to be finished, he showed back at the door and said "Sign here". I told him I did not know what I was signing as he hadn't explained. He said "Everything is fine, call the city, sign here". I proceeded to tell him everything is not fine and the city had already called me back and explained the issue I am describing is a plumbing issue as the pressure coming out of the faucet is low and the flow seems to be quite reduced and that I would need to contact a plumber. I would not pay a service fee to my home warranty unless something was truly wrong and concerning. The outdoor faucets are low and not forceful. He never checked or water manifold inside the house but I only saw him look at our water meter at the street and hold a gauge up to one faucet then he had to call his company because he seemed to not know what else to check. That was from observation as he did not care to show me anything or explain anything. He did not want to listen to what we are experiencing and concerned about. He seemed to be focused on the psi coming into the home instead of out of the front and backyard faucets. He never told me those psi and never told me the GPMs out of both of the outdoor faucets. After disregarding anything I was concerned about, he didn't say a word, just tore off my copy, handed it to me, and walked off. This is a completely unprofessional way of handling a homeowner and one that is concerned and recognizes changes within the home. He did not want to show me anything, explain anything, really look further into anthing, etc. I am usually great about speaking highly of companies once service is completed and they have done a wonderful job and had wonderful customer service. I unfortunately in this situation cannot speak of this technician/plumber's customer service skills or professionalism because he had none and acted like I was an idiot. Most companies explain, show homeowners their findings, and work through kinks when a customer is concerned and knowledgeable. This guy did not do any of that. read more

My home insurance company recommended pipedoctor247. I paid $175 and they came out quickly and quoted $6,700 to repair, when asking questions the tech told me he had other things to do. Another plumber quoted $400. Given I paid $175 I emailed the company to ask why their bid was so much higher and asked for a refund. See attached response. The absolute worst business I have ever encountered. Our hot water heaters went out this past summer. We contacted our home warranty company (that we do not use anymore) the plumbing company they use is Pipedoctor. Pipedoctor came out and replaced our water heaters with a tankless water heater. After the job was done Pipedoctor was supposed to get a city inspection. Pipedoctor did not do that. We have had several issues with the tankless water heater which we have tried many times to get them to come fix but they would not. We called other plumbing companies to come out but they would not touch the water heater because it was not up to code. Now we are in a fight with Pipedoctor to come make things right. PipeDoctor 247 was assigned by my home warranty company. I should have asked for another plumber, after seeing the poor reviews. A toilet was leaking at the base. The root cause was a rusty flange. The plumber they sent pulled the toilet. But, instead of fixing the rusted flange, he reassembled the toilet and stated that he needed to refer the job to PipeDoctor 247's "master plumber". That "pipe modifications" were necessary. They subequently came back with an $850 quote for these pipe modifications. I contacted a licensed plumber in my area who came out and repaired the rusty flange (no pipe modifications needed). The fact that PipeDoctor 247 had pulled the toilet and had full access to replace the flange under my warranty coverage, but instead wanted to line their pockets by turning it into something it wasn't, very disappointing. I have informed my warranty company of this negative experience. read more

My warranty company assigned them to me so I did not have a choice in choosing them. Working with them has been a nightmare. After dealing with them for several days, I started to read their reviews and all of the lower stars are truthful at best. The average on several review sites is less than 2 stars. You have to be an awful business for this to occur. I worked with their customer service and scheduling team. These people have no customer service skills. They told me my submission was incorrect. I followed up on their e-mail trying to correct them and they continued to say that I was wrong. My original request had 4 issues that they condensed to two without any facts. Me the homeowner was not believed. We had a conversation where I tried to clear things up, but they still were skeptical about my request. In what world is the homeowner is the bad guy and the service company is not there to understand or clear things up? When the plumber came on-site and I told him the issues which is what I reported only did the scheduling believe me. 3 of the 4 issues were fixed on the first trip. As many reviews said and captured eloquently, another common problem occurred. They sent my warranty company a bill for $1075. I called when they told me my out-of-pocket costs. I asked for a breakdown and they sent me back to the warranty company. When I discussed the costs with the warranty company, they were hesitant after doing some research. They installed a $123 and $41 part. You want to talk about a mark-up price. I have had the patch panel replaced in several properties and this cost was 2.5x of those repairs. Since the warranty company would not send another company out, I was stuck with PipeDoctor247. The process did not get better at this point. Knowing they were overcharging me and this was before Christmas. The entire repair process was 6 weeks. When I was scheduling the second visit, PipeDoctor247 revealed to me the contract that was between Cinch Home Services and me. If you want to talk about a privacy issue and Business Law 101 this is the perfect case. When I asked how they knew what details were in my contract, I did not get an answer, but I will follow up with Cinch Services. However, the initial call still did not result in a visit being scheduled because they called me a liar in a nice way. In the end, I was right again, but their phone, support, and care team were the worst. I asked for a morning visit because of the nature of the issue, but they gave me a mid-day time frame from 10-2. The plumber Blair showed up one hour late and NEVER apologized for his lateness and he was on-site for 4 hours. I paid for their services in cash because I do not want my financial information connected to PipeDoctor247 in any way. This is not a trustworthy company. Other reviews have pointed out their business practices and I saw it first hand. Those 1 and 2-star reviews were accurate, I experienced everything they said in my dealings with them. Initially, I thought Blair was a good guy with a bad company and I was going to give them a 2-star rating. He seems knowledgeable, but not apologizing for being late or acknowledging shows you how out of touch these employees are. This business will find a way to dig deep in your pockets so be aware. I hope I never have to deal with this company again even from my warranty company. I agree with a recent post about warning you enough. My warranty company sent this to fix shower leaking issue. I was remodeling house flooring and painting etc. and the guy told the warranty company that house is under construction. He wanted to charge 1400$ for changing shower valve - others are doing that in 400$. They just didn't want to do the work. Not worth the hassle. I was surprised when my kitchen drain pipe suddenly started leaking. Fortunately, I had home warranty insurance and they set up a plumber visit through Pipe Doctor 24/7. I can only praise the entire experience with Pipe Doctor 24/7 and with Blair, the plumber assigned for my repairs. He did an excellent job in repairing the leaking pipe. His work was professional and courteous. Also, Blair explained the issue and even listed potential problems in the future with the aging pipes. I was assigned this service provider through my Home Warranty company. They created an unnecessary scope of work, and were trying to charge me $800 out of pocket (plus the $75 service call fee that is the standard "deductible" for all home warranty claims). I contacted them twice seeking an explanation of their seemingly absurd rate, to no response. They also listed my job as "complete" on their timeline when, in fact, no work had been done! I ultimately ended up hiring ANOTHER licensed plumber (outside the warranty company) based on their 5 star rating on Yelp. They came within 2 hours of my calling them, and replaced the damaged component in under half an hour. They charged me $230 total. It certainly looks as though PipeDoctor was running a bit of a hustle (or at the very least, a price gauge!). No thanks, PipeDoctor! read more
