I know the reviews are very mixed here. I've been a handful of times over the years, generally I just get a beer and sit with my feet in the sand. I've had a burger and been satisfied. It comes in a paper bag. It's always been off season when I visit and haven't had to wait long. The bathrooms are fairly horrible though. It is a rare dog friendly place. I'd rate it 3.5 if I could

What could be better than sitting on the beach eating lunch! The view of the bay is phenomenal. It's a dog friendly restaurant which of course is a gold star for me. We really really loved the whole atmosphere of Pirates Cove. It has a simple menu and we went for the chicken tenders and the onion rings. I highly recommend both although a little oily. I'm OK with that when I'm sitting at the beach with some amazing pirates Cove sauce it is delicious and their hot sauce which is gotta kick to it and I really love that. Drinks are fantastic.

I love this place. The food is always amazing. The drinks are awesome (especially the Bushwhacker). The atmosphere is always a good time. Where else can you beach your boat grab a bite to eat and something to wet the whistle. The service is always quick with either the food or drinks it's on point. Every time I'm in the area I always find my way back there. If you want to experience a pirate water hole definitely stop in. Always a great time

A great spot to bring your furry pet to lay out or swim in the bay. Grab a burger or a pizza or a bushwacker . Come by land or water.

How busy it was inside and out.

Drove an hour plus. arrived at 10:30 . I'm the only customer. 6 staff. I walked around. takes 2 minutes. Then stood around waiting on the staff conversation to end . Team meeting I'm guessing? NOPE. just talking about the dog . so I approached the bar. two feet away. I finally flag down a lady running around the kitchen area. she hands me off to a lady that was irritated that I was asking for a menu? the others just stood and stared at me. I would NOT recommend waking up the staff. spend your hard earned cash somewhere that wouldn't mind you having great experience!

This place is literally Dog Heaven. I cannot wait to go back. Everyone is here to have an enjoyable time, the dogs are loving life, the food & beer are a plenty, staff is super chill. I can't think of a negative! If you haven't yet visited, I would say "Get your butt out there, and don't forget to bring Fido!!" We came via boat which is a totally legit experience but I am more than willing to load up the car and head over for a lovely day chilling out by the water with like-minded people!

The ultimate dive bar! Slow food, good bushwackers and great people watching. The burgers and pizza are great!

Simply the best. A coastal classic full of charm. You can never go wrong with a cheeseburger, onion rings, and a bushwhacker.

Gee, Onion rings, but I don't even think that's vegan. Try Fishers.

My advice, find a seat, have someone order at the order window, then head to the bar to order drinks. The wait to order food took about a half hour. It was very quick to get our drinks. We were able to snag a couch area on a platform. It was so comfy and we loved the views. A heads up- if you snag a couch like this, kids will get up on the platform and jump off of it. People will step up on the platform and walk extremely close to you. I had to ask a kid to stop throwing sand by us because we were eating our dinner. It was a little chaotic. We were extremely patient and understand, but I could see some people being very upset and annoyed. After ordering, our food came out pretty quick. I started with the coconut grouper bites and they were phenomenal. Light breading, lightly sweat, and flaky. I had the Gulf Grilled Cobia and it was phenomenal. The fish was tender, flaky, and light. No fishiness at all. The sauce on the fish was also delightful. My husband and son had the fajita skewers and both enjoyed them. My husband also had the peel and eat shrimp and said they were amazing at The Gulf. Our drinks were okay. We had better drinks at other places during the week, but they weren't bad. We would return, but try to come on an off-time that wasn't so busy.

I can't say enough about our service. It was just phenomenal. We were seated right away and it was pointed out to us that there were happy hour drinks, which we were thrilled about. This will now become one of our destinations because there's so many great places to eat in the area. So glad we finally stopped in. Thank you to the jellyfish for a phenomenal experience

Jellyfish is upstairs and there is an elevator available for those who can't manage the stairs. They have a LOT of space both inside and out. I had a very hard time deciding but after much discussion, we opted to go with their sushi and we couldn't have been happier. The sushi was so fresh and some of the best I've had. We had three rolls; ichiban, spicy tuna, and surf and turf. We also tried the seared ahi tuna and it was so good. I also had a masago nigiri and it made me so happy. The service was FANTASTIC. Our server was so friendly and made our evening even more special. And to add to the wonderful visit, this restaurant gives military 25% off on Thursdays. What a treat!! This was our first dinner of the new year so we are off to an amazing start to 2026!!
