Our office had a vendor presentation and we ordered from Pita Grill, lunch for 10-12. We got the chicken and steak kabobs, Greek salad, rice, pita bread and hummus along with the garlic sauce. I was so excited when a gyro place opened up just down the street. What a bust! The plan was to order a kebab combo or something, some tabouli and maybe a few pieces of falafel. They didn't have a mixed kebab combo and the salads slowly dying under the sneeze guard looked inedible so I played it safe and went with the shawarma combo. The chicken shawarma was cold, flavorless and had a weird rubbery texture. It was kind of like someone rolled up some cold cuts from Subway and then sliced them.The lamb shawarma, also cold, was edible at best. The tabouli was dry, bland and musty- it probably should have been tossed a day or two earlier. I wanted a few pieces of falafel but when I saw the sad, green/grey dry balls (inevitably some boxed mix from the bottom shelf of the nearest Stater Bros.) that had been sitting in the metal pan for hours since lunch, I asked if they were made to order. The cashier (owner I think) sneered and pointed to the pan. Pathetic! read more

The worst service from cashier girl. Told her wanted Chicken when they gave me meat asked for cook to have correct item. He was pleasant, but when girl took my order came back and found out she glared at me across the room. When she brought me my chicken kebab I tried to say must have been a mix up When I ordered its my first time here. She angrily belittled me saying I said twice how do you want rare, med rare, well....i thought if I say chicken it will be chicken but realized she was being agressive towards me even when I didnt say was her fault just said things happen it's ok....later i told my son go get a refund for the two dollars difference....he tried she said has to call manager then ignored him on phone and never gave refund. My daughter-in-law went to ask can you refund money by exchanging for baklava she said ok but it's only one dollar which was wrong. Chicken kebab is $9.99 beef kebab is $11.99. We went there because I choose for Mother's Day what a horrible mistake...this cashier again didn't give even the dollar she agreed to give back.,..my son paid over $45 for four of us to eat....we all felt uneasy because of her, Sarah and will never go back. Wouldn't go again unless desperate. Garlic sauce and shawarma chicken was nearly flavorless and meat and pita were really dry. Checked website menu before coming which said kids meal had option of chicken or beef wrap and included fries, fruit snack and drink. Turned out they only offer chicken wrap. They did offer rice or salad instead of fries. No fruit snack which was my selling point to the kids. Time to fix website menu or in store menu. Makes dad look bad. Was happy to eat something other than burger, sandwich, Mexican, Chinese, but not by much. That's only reason its not one star. read more

This is my favorite Mediterranean takeout place! My go-to everytime I'm craving Mediterranean. Chicken kebab plate is a must! Well-seasoned juicy chicken, great salad and rice,oh and don't get me started on their garlic sauce! So delicious. I recommend calling your order in before going they seem to be quicker this way, if you order in person it takes quite awhile to be honest that's my only problem with this place and I can put it aside because of how good their food is! Ok, first off- yelp has become just a forum for complaints about mostly nothing, and people feel the need to bash everything for a lot of really minuscule reasons sometimes like the reviews i'm reading on here. This place is good. Especially for how quick the service is. I had the chicken pita sandwich and I loved it! Hard to eat because it falls apart, but it tastes really really good, so i'm not going to complain about that. I love the pickled beets or turnips or whatever they are. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the side salad was not very good, I expected a bit more from it- but next time i think i'll get the rice. Where to even start, this place was amazing!! I've traveled across the middle east and have never had better food than this. The chicken, wow! Amazing!! So I was in the area today and i was looking for something to eat and came across this place. I was very curious on the food so I had to try it out. I came in at 1130 and ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich and some grape leaves. But they ran out to my surprise since they opened at 11. Anyways I ordered the garlic potatoes and ohhhh myyy they were so good. I highly recommend this place to anyone who lives around here or is on 5 going either way. This was my second time at Pita Grill - both times my order took 20+ minutes to receive. And although I understand cooking a chicken kabab may take a little longer than putting together a shawarma plate, it shouldn't take longer than 15 minutes. Today, I placed my order for a chicken kabab plate with 2 grape leaves (apparently they only had 2 grape leaves left in the middle of the day) at 1:44pm, and only received it at 2:14pm. Yes. That's 30 minutes. I saw multiple other to-go orders come in and out, and saw other customers order, eat, and leave, as I sat there waiting for ONE plate. When I get my order, I specifically asked the guy at the front if the tzatziki sauce for my grape leaves was in the bag, and he assured me that yes, it is inside the box. My family has catered from them on numerous occasions for parties ranging from 20 to 75 people and every time the food is on point! What happened to this place???? Man it used to be 4/5 stars with amazing but pricey food. Now-I will NEVER go back. I ordered the chicken kabob plate with double kale salad instead of fries or rice. First-they charged me extra for the salad which never happened before so it came to almost $13 w/o a drink. The girl at the front was less than friendly when I asked about the charge, Then it took a really long time, although it was busy. Then the food....here's where they totally lost me. Chicken kabob was no longer big chunks of good chicken, pita bread was soggy and stuffed under my food, and my former fave kale salad was soaked in greasy dressing and def not a double portion(I even checked to see if they made a mistake). I'm trying to post a photo...it was sad. I'm not sure if there are new owners or they just got cheap bc it now is not up to par for what they charge. SO overpriced. I used to pay less for much better quality there. You 100% lost my business. And I'm not happy about that bc it used to be a fave. read more

Very good and affordable. The chicken shawarma and their house salad is delicious. The garlic sauce is creamy and not too overpowering. I wouldn't order the chicken tenders for the kids though. Instead, try the kids chicken shawarma with either fries or rice. read more

I really like the food here but today the man at the register was very rude and not helpful at all, very pushy. My girlfriend went in today and was asking about the side options that come with the plate and the man with an attitude just wouldn't help her. He then went to the back only to come back and asked her if she decided yet, never giving her the options for the plate she asked for in the first place. So being that she felt that she was being rushed she ended up ordering double rice. My girlfriend paid but didn't receive any receipt with her order. She noticed that they were calling out numbers so she asked the man what was her number. When she got home the shish kabob she ordered only came with chicken on a stick, no peppers or onions I believe it's the same man at the register every one is complaining about. Food is ok but service is horrible. I ordered the mixed grill plate wanting to replace rice with humus or salad as i don't eat rice. They would not allow that. They said humus has to be ordered on the side for $4.50 and salad would be $1 extra charge if replaced rice. Never had this problem in any restaurant before. Usually you can replace things even if it is for little extra charge. Tell a middle eastern you have to pay around $5 for humus and they will laugh at you. Humus came in a very small plate with no oil on it. Ended up paying $18+ for 3 skewers,little salad, and humus. Might as well go to a fancy place Very frustrating experience. Won't be back again. And who closes at 4pm? read more
