I was in recently and every employee that I seen had gloves on and they had markers on the ground to help people stay 6ft apart. I am pretty sure there is no way to have a bad meal here. This is my goto lunch stop for the 'business lunch'. A heaping plate of rice offering a combination of shawarma, falafel, and kefta! This dish was very good. I am always a fan of this type of food! Bathroom was fairly clean. Maybe they could hit a bus boy to clean the tables more consistently but overall experience was good. I even tried a Freez mix carbonated beverage, Blue Hawaii (tropical fruits) flavor. Quick and friendly service. The ambiance was nice. The music plays softly so you can enjoy listening to it, and can easily enjoy a conversation with others. Note: for this location specifically, if you've eaten most of your food and leave it unattended then your food will most likely be gone before you get back to your table. I live close and like to support a local business. I always call ahead and pre order so I can easily pick up and go. Im very loyal customer been going there for many years. They have Grubhub card that gives you discount so sure I tried to use it because I spend so much money there. So , they advertise Grubhub card that I tried to work and the code isn't valid and when I called Grubhub they said to ask pita Inn .When I quickly asked as I was picking up my order they weren't even aware of it. Idnk, it's unfortunate that they sorb offer anything for loyal customers. They don't have rewards system nothing & it's kinda disappointing. Also they didn't update on menu but their lunch went up. I got the beef shawarma entree, my boyfriend got the chicken tender sandwich and we got fries to share. Apparently fries in a new thing? Anyway it was good! Unfortunately, the fries were my favorite. They were crispy and fresh! For the main meals, it wasn't as good. The meat felt like it been out for awhile. It was not warm at all and it was chewy. A bit too chewy. The rice underneath was bland. It's served with 2 pitas. The chicken tender sandwich. As my boyfriend said, it was "'meh" When I read chicken tender, I assumed it was crispy chicken. But it was grilled chicken. The yellow sauce that was in the sandwich didn't have much flavor. I'm glad I got to try it out but I think it'll be awhile before we revisit and give it another try :/ read more

The first time I visited Pita Inn was the one in Skokie. I had the beef shawarma sandwich there and my fiance had the chicken and hummus dish. My shawarma was a bit dry but still tasty. The chicken and hummus dish was fantastic. I finally got the chance to try the business lunch special after visiting our corporate headquarters one morning. I'm not sure what everything was but almost all the beef pieces were pretty dry, more so than the beef in Skokie. I think the kifta/kefta (sp?) was the only beef piece that wasn't dry and was very, very flavorful. The falafel was perfectly spiced. The chicken piece was moist but wasn't anything memorable. All in all, I'm glad I was able to try the business lunch special because now I know I'm not really missing out on anything. That shredded chicken and hummus dish though is where it's at.
