This is one of my favorite restaurants and having just moved into the neighborhood right down the street, I am so happy to get my hummus craving satisfied weekly! First impression of the restaurant when I walked in was all the staff was very friendly and smiling. I love the decor of this particular restaurant because they have art on their walls by local artists and you can buy the pieces if you desire. For the food, I usually always get hummus with grilled chicken and it's always consistent and tasty! I also love the patio set up with the lights, it's a perfect ambiance to drink a glass of wine with dinner and relax after a long work week! Very poor service, unprofessional host, server forgot most of my order. The hostess leaned over the table and basket to welcome as people walked in. It took 20 minutes for our server to take our payment. I will not be coming back!! The only good thing is the drinks were great!! read more

So many screwups! 2alk3d in door and 2 4-p3ople tables were empty. 2e were only a party of 2 so got passed over twice for seating. Then ordered an app and glass of wine with dinner. Apps came pretty quick, oh did I mention we never were brought a plate to eat off of, then dinner came and THEN came out glass of wine after dinner and After happy hour. I have always liked Pita Jungle and eat there often. I was excited when I heard Pita Jungle was opening a location in Mesa where I live. I was looking forward to taking my dog and having a nice lunch on the patio. When I arrived I was told, "no dogs on the patio ". If I wanted to sit on the patio I would have to tie my dog to the fence on the outside of the patio. Several other locations allow dogs on the patio, and that is the main reason I eat there. So, just a heads up if you are planning to visit the Mesa location, "No dogs on the patio ". read more

Visiting from out of state and this place was recommended by family. The food was excellent. Try the roasted cauliflower with tahini, SO GOOD!!! Gyros, schwarma and salads were great. Nice outdoor seating area. Service was good. Really enjoyed it. read more

I love this place. Have been here twice. I found them because I was looking for places that offered safe takeout options- I will not go inside a place with maskless people. Pita jungle has a walk up window, which is a requirement for me - curbside, drive-thru or safe outside pickup - or walk up window. And I'm so glad I found them. Their food is so good. I had the caramelized cauliflower (delicious!), the quesadilla and I added chicken as my server recommended- oh my goodness it was so good and crisped so nicely, and I also ordered jalapeño- cilantro hummus. I'm a hummus snob - this was a little thinner than I prefer but it is so flavorful I will order it every week. I so appreciate that pita jungle offers safe takeout option and so happy with the quality of their food and their service- great service and both times I have been to the window I watched the staff at the window sanitizing the area after each customer and sanitizing the check package. Not very impressed with it! The hummus was watery I couldn't taste any tahini or garlic but lemon.. falafel dry no flavor.. I ordered Mediterranean chicken salad or at lees that's what I thought I ordered .. cilantro and corn and mix green in Mediterranean salad? I don't think so! I have been looking forward to eating at this Pita Jungle since I heard it was coming to the area. It does not disappoint! The decor is funky and cool. The patio is definitely where I will be spending many happy hours in the near future. The food was so good...it was obvious that they've been working on getting it perfect. We have eaten here twice already. Just like other locations the food is great. First time they were still getting their legs under them and service was a little slow but understandable. Second time was take out and it was fast and very convenient. We will be regulars. read more

Staff has double standards for certain guests. I asked to be seated on the patio. They sat us in a back corner no shade. I asked to be moved to a table with shade. There was a lady that looked like she was getting ready to leave. I asked if we could have her table when she left. Hostess said sure. While waiting at the other table a couple of other tables open up. So we walk over and sit down. A server comes and tells us that we have to move they are for someone else. Okay, then in the mean time the table I asked for opened up. Girls from other table gets up and moves to our table. I go inside ask the server what's going on. She says the girl moved and she can't ask her to move. Yet I could now have her table. Yet it was perfectly okay to ask me to move? Pretty crappy hostesses that didn't see their double standard or hypocrisy. Sad thing we go there all the time and the wait staff is usually great. read more

Ordered take-out salads. Falafel in salad overcooked, dry. But Shwarma bowl was great, flavorful moist chicken and fresh veggies, with drag on the side. Orders took a little longer wait, once we arrived for pickup. We like the location and hope to try other dishes. read more

I have been going to Pita Jungle for many years. They just opened a new location on McKellips road in Mesa. It is a great location. They continue to serve the same high quality food and hire a great staff. I found this smaller restaurant really well designed and quaint. They just need to have better propane heaters on the patio since we like to sit outside, but the food is terrific! read more

Great food, too bad the service was lacking. We love this chain and were so excited for an east Mesa option, but honestly have never felt so uncomfortable or unwelcome in a restaurant in a long time. Half an hour wait in our area is normal, so not an issue, but another twenty minutes while they found a server for us and we watched other people seated after us served not okay. Then another twenty minutes for our drinks that we had to remind her we hadn't gotten yet. And they didn't even apologize even though she acknowledged it took a while for them to get a server for us. I typically like pita jungle. I have been eating their various locations for years. I am really not happy with the service I received today. I ordered ahead the Mediterranean Antipasto platter. I order ahead because I am in my lunch break and I have limited time. When I show up I am told they don't have any dolmades or baba ganoosh. They asked if I wanted extra falafels. I said no and I didn't really have time for them to make anything else. The menu on the website says it also comes with spanikopita. She did not mention they did not have that as well. As I did not find out until I got back to work. She said my soda was on the house. So I paid $17 for basically a bunch of Tzatziki and hummus. Didn't really need extra pita bread. I just wish someone would have told me I would be getting only half the ingredients when I placed my order as I would have ordered something else. I felt like I was held hostage because I didn't have time to order anything else or go anywhere else to get food. It's going to take me a while before I want to risk going there again. read more

it's really sad because when this opened near our house we were VERY excited because pita jungle is our favorite and have been to every location around the valley. i have to say i always loved it because it was consistent and really great food and service. we have been to this mesa location 5 times now (thinking it was maybe so off because it was new so kept giving it a shoot) the service keeps getting worse the food is getting smaller and less quality products and cooking quality and all around not the pita jungle we know. we will be making the drive to val vista from now on. read more

I was at this location on February 18th 2020 and I had an order to go for 2 shakes. A gentleman came in after me and ordered food and received his food before I received my shakes. 3 people asked me what I was waiting for and said they would go check on my order. All 3 people Returned and told me that my order was being worked on, but no one told me why it was taking so long after 16 minutes of waiting I walked over to the bar area where to gentleman or talking which I was told was the managers. When I told them I had been waiting 16 minutes for my shakes they said they would go check on it. After 16 minutes of waiting that was the 1st time I heard the blender was being used for hummus and that is why my order was taking so long. Not one of the managers offered to comp my drinks or give me any kind of refund or coupons for this delay. I do not recommend them for fast service! And obviously they do not care about customer service either! read more
