Came here on a Saturday for lunch. It was a beautiful day outside and we wanted to sit outside on the patio. The hostess here really had no interest in helping anyone have a joyful experience. Her response was, the patio is full and she proceeded to try to sit us in a tiny two top table. Never asking us if we wanted to wait for outside or sit inside . She walked on ahead of us and didn't even realize we weren't behind her. Lucky for us,we had a Great server. Thank goodness the hostess didn't pass on her unpleasantness to everyone else that works there. The servers are hard workers here, running around helping everybody. The food is like the other Pita jungle's we have experienced. Fresh and delicious . My friend and I each got two different items and we shared a carrot cake slice at the end. I would've liked a cuppa tea or something else other than water. But, I think our server was so busy she didn't realize to ask us if we needed something to drink ,after the initial order . Arrived at 5:45 pm on a Sunday evening and immediately seated. Ordered less than 10 minutes after arriving. At 6:45 PM, drinks had been refilled only 1 time, and no food in sight. Manager comes out and told us that a lot of to-go orders came in. So, they prioritized customers not in the restaurant to fulfill orders while customers sitting at tables waiting more than 1 hour for food. We ended up walking out and going to another restaurant down the road. Waiting 50 minutes was more than fair to give them the time they needed to serve our table of 4. There were only 6 tables occupied at the time we were there. read more

Came out to Arizona to Visit my mom and she loves this place. I have to say I would give this place zero stars if it wasn't for our amazing waitress Leslie. My son was misbehaving and she did not miss a beat. She was so patient and attentive. She made it such great experience and lifted our spirits. She was unbelievably lovely and sweet. I ordered a falafel wrap and it was slightly burnt and the sauce was bitter. It was a hard zero for me. Chick Peas we're not ground good enough and chunky. The Sesame Sauce was so bitter. The veggies were fresh and the pickles were good! The reason I'm still giving this place 5 stars anyway is because California Beach Wrap . It blew my mind it was so good and freaking huge. My brother shared it with me. I Will be back in 3 months and I'm already thinking about this wrap. I'm also excited to try the bar next time. read more

I love Pita Jungle. I would leave a 5 star review if it weren't for the awful mosquito problem on the patio. My poor toddler has at least 20 bites on his legs from yesterday, and that's no exaggeration. We like sitting outdoors to enjoy the weather, and with a rambunctious toddler it's much more spacious to sit outdoors since the dining room is cramped - not to mention better for the other patrons there trying to enjoy a peaceful meal indoors. But the mosquito problem is concerning especially since we do have confirmed West Nile cases in the area. We rarely go out, but the next time we do it won't be here unfortunately. read more

My third Pita Jungle in 2 weeks..Love the food and vibe in Awautookee, the food on Val Vista and the location, the new one in Mesa the food was just ok the atmosphere and service was good. My wife and I visited around 3:30 on Wednesday. I would probably visit again just cause it's close to my house in Las Sendas. My wife is a fan of Pita Jungle and I differ with regard to their quality and service. Tonight she ordered a tofu wrap (she's a vegetarian) and a Greek salad. The Greek Salad had so much salt in the dressing as to make it inedible and she loves salt. The tofu wrap was made with chicken and not the requested tofu. Of course, these mistakes were only noticeable upon arriving home and a return trip was required to the restaurant to correct the error so she could have dinner. Does anyone in the restaurant taste the food as they are preparing it or do they pay attention to the requests of their clients? Clearly the answer is no and this is not a singular event. The quality control, management and customer service is very poor indeed. read more

Pita Jungle is an oasis-like beacon of healthy dining, long needed in the east valley. They're staff are friendly, their food is fresh and allows you to indulge without the guilt of most alternative options. My favorite is the hummus trio with chicken and I appreciate that they offer a gluten free pita bread. The GF pita is more dense, but still has great flavor and pairs great as a sub if needed. In addition we ordered the cauliflower, which was really flavorful and had a little spice to it, the gyro and the spicy chicken wrap - which was huge! The spicy chicken wrap was packed full of good stuff, lots of veggies and ended up doubling as two meals, due to its size. Great value for your money, hope you'l give them a try. read more

Update: The response from the customer service team and management to my below experience was very prompt and professional. I really appreciate that they take customer reviews seriously and demonstrated their desire to remedy the situation. I do feel that my below referenced experience was a limited event is is clearly not the norm for the Pita Jungle brand. My coworkers and I dined here for lunch today. The service was very friendly, though a little slow, but they were quite busy. Our appetizer of the cilantro jalapeño hummus was good. Unfortunately when our food came out I had two , what appeared to be, course facial hairs in my lavash chicken shawarma wrap, but did not notice until after the server left, and because service was slow it was quite some time until someone came by to check on us. My side salad was good, as was the single falafel bite that I ordered. The lavash looked good but the hair was a hard pass for me. They didn't charge for my meal, but I was very disappointed that they didn't also comp my one falafel, or offer to give me a gift certificate, or really any gesture at all other than being politely apologetic. Based on the overall experience I was pretty underwhelmed. Clearly the staff has not had training in how to take care of a customer that was wronged by the restaurant which was frustrating. read more

We have consistently tried to come back to this location and every time I come it's equally disappointing and I wish I had made another choice. We have had issues every time ranging from people smoking on their non smoking patio (I don't know about you but I don't come to a healthier option restaurant to get drown in second hand smoke) while no employee does anything to rectify it. To waiting an unreasonable amount of time for our food/any serviceTo tonight I called before we came. I am less than 10 minutes away and they were like oh no problem we are super slow. To when I arrived they said oh man we are super slammed and aren't sitting anymore tables until the servers can catch up. This is hands down one of the most annoying sentences ever uttered and I was like well can't we just sit so my kids can settle in while the servers "catch up" and they say no. 15 minutes later we were sat at the same open table that we had been staring at since we arrived. We have also need sitting here for over an hour waiting for our food and have had to get up and get several things for ourselves including plates just so we could eat our apps. We ended up needing to pack up our food to go because our kids were late for bed. They should shut the doors if they're always so short staffed and unable to provide food in a reasonable time. I will keep driving to the Ahwatukee location if I really get a pita jungle craving, this is a definite skip for us going forward read more

I like there food . We been going to this location for a while.. and food and service has been great. Until last week we went on Thursday food was good but the service was horrible our waittress, came brought us our drinks took our order we asked for an appetizer and she brought it out together with our dinner and said that the kitchen made it all together..than she dissappear and we had to flag someone else to get us silverware because she didn't give us any.. we ran out of drinks halfway thru are dinner and she never came by to refill our drinks.. than a little girl came in to hand her some keys and she walk outside with the little and was talking to a guy with a dog she stay and played withe the dog hugging it and kissing it, came back in I asked her if she can get me a to-go box and she went to grab one and touching kitchen stuff without washing her hands after playing with dog.. she brought our bill and there was 2 different bill with 2 different amounts I figure witch one was ours paid and left very disappointed read more

I called and asked if they had a gyro salad and the lady told me they could give me a large Greek and put gyro meat on it. I said that would be fine and didn't ask about the price because who would? When I showed up the salad was $17.00!!!! I was so hungry I paid it or otherwise I would have walked out. The salad was mediocre at best. 100% will not come back. I went in yesterday while I waited for my dog to have an ultrasound at the vet. I don't know who the host/bartender was (wish I'd caught his name), but I want to give praise to him. While I sat there, nervously drinking a glass of wine, he tapped into his intuition and struck up a conversation with me. I told him about my dog's test and we shared stories about our pits. He was kind and caring. And then when I got the call with bad news, he was empathetic and thoughtful to make sure to get me checked out quickly so I could leave. All while taking care of other patrons. I hope a manager reads this and acknowledges this "above and beyond" service. He didn't have to, and could have just hurried me along or not taken an interest and kept to himself. But I'm so grateful he did. It meant the world to me, and I'll never forget it.
