Healthy wraps that you can get in a smaller size! Perfect grab and go option to eat by a beautiful lake in Mammoth. Ordered online to avoid the hassle of spelling out all the sauce/veggie combinations. The wrap came loaded with fresh cucumber, spinach and avocado. For the sauce, I went with the tzatziki and hummus on mine which was good but lacked something. I would have liked a little more of the sauce. The mushrooms felt a bit raw, had I known that I would have taken it out. Husband got the chicken pita with pesto and liked it. Had I known all these years how yummy the Pitas are, I would have made this a regular 'pit' stop. No pun intended. I ordered the Gyro and to my amazement, they stuffed the Pita with whatever I wanted in it. For $6.95. Of course I had them add all the items you would put in a Gryo..cucumber, tzatziki, olives, cucumbers, lettuce, onions, tomatoes and of course the meat. YUM YUM! .I thought it was a great deal for the price. It was mongo and very filling. There are several choices of PITA's for you to select, and they all look yummy. Give PITA PIT a try. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. This place caters to all ages. Simple interior and seating. No frills, but when you come off the mountain or on your way up to ski or board, that doesn't really matter. There's no guilt for eating this kind of food. If you want an ice cold pita served with an attitude, you've found your place ! Oh how the mighty have fallen. Growing up as a kid in mammoth I could count on a piping hot pita served with a smile 24/7. Not so much anymore. Was so let down I stole chips as the girls went to vape in the back. If I blind tasted a ketchup soaked ice cube and the food I just was served, I wouldn't know the difference. We felt like something healthy and easy and this fits the bill. I had a veggie black bean with a whole wheat pita. We also ordered the gyro. The best part is they ask you what toppings you want. Hole in the wall place. We got our food before our friends who were at John's pizza who left 45 minutes before. The pitas are decent size. Everyone in my group liked their pita. The gyro meat is excellent. They fill it up custom. I thought there was too much lettuce and I didn't like the type of pita. I preferred the pita I get back home from the Greek places I go to. The prices here are lot cheaper than the cafes on the mountain and each of the choices can be quite filling and healthy should you choose to be. The most popular item is the chicken Cesar, and I'm not sure if picked the wrong ingredients but the cook had put way too much hot sauce in my wrap. Add that with the jalapeños and banana peppers and the whole thing just tasty tangy and spicy. I couldn't finish it. One of my friends got the philly steak and his was perfect! The steak was flavorful and not overly dry. I had food envy and wished I orders that one instead. Another helpful tip is that you can get your veggies mushrooms grilled as well. Best lunch ever! We were at the mountain for 3 days, went for lunch at pita pit 2/3 days. All the ingredients you can see through the glass window as they make your food and looked super fresh.
