Unfortunately, it seems management or ownership has changed. They skimp on every little thing, nickle and dime you for extra sauces, hummus etc and the pita's come out tiny. The ingredients that used to be behind a clear plexiglass are now hidden, I'm assuming to deter customers for asking for more ingredients.... Feels like Chipotle when they first opened vs today. This used to be my go to place since 2017, but I won't be back. Maybe it's cuz I'm here in summer and the original workers aren't here?....

Interior is pretty much a fast food vibe Service is quick. I had the chicken grilled cheese. It was really good. The cheese was tasty. And the chicken is perfect. Definitely a go to spot in mammoth

In Mammoth Lakes for a few days and staying near the Village. There are a few sit down food options there but wanted something more grab and go. I had previously been to a Pita Pit in San Luis Obispo (now closed). On this visit both my friend and I got bowls with chicken, brown rice, quinoa and spinach. Absolutely delicious- we took them to go and people watched on a gondola-themed bench in village courtyard. The flavors were great!

I literally eat here every year while visiting mammoth. I look forward to coming by at least once and building my own pita bowl. Delicious!! Their pita bread is fresh and amazing!! I love that there are a few tables outside so I can sit and eat with my pup and watch everyone go by. It's a must every trip!!

Terrible service and poor-quality food! They served us cold gyros, with hardly any meat, and when we questioned it, they dismissively claimed, "That's how it's supposed to be." The staff was unresponsive and lacked any sense of customer care. The food tasted awful--honestly, I have no idea how this place is still in business!

Mango smoothie is really good! You have the option to add protein or spinach if you want too

Pita pit provided great service, the veggies were all fresh, and price was absolutely reasonable for the great quality provided.

All of the staff went above and beyond to be super friendly and inviting. It felt like my husband and I were regulars the way the wait staff treated us. You could tell they treat every customer as if they're the only person in the winery, despite it being full. Every question we had was met with patience as they guided us on the best food and wine pairing. They also are super accommodating to pets, and were able to enjoy a nice meal with our pup. The food was all fresh and delicious. Everything tasted like it was made from the heart. My husband got the angel hair pasta with chicken, a favorite of his, and it did not disappoint! I got the brown butter sage gnocchi, made with fresh sage from their garden. We also enjoyed the meze board. My husband who does not like falafel was fighting with me for the last piece. For dessert I ate the rosemary shortbread with lemon curd. Just like with the sage the rosemary was also freshly picked from their garden. The shortbread was not too dry but also the perfect ratio of crispy on the outside and slightly moist on the inside - the exact way shortbread should be baked. I normally am picky with lemon desserts, but their lemon curd was also perfect - not too sweet and not too sour while still maintaining that fresh flavor. My biggest regret of our visit is not booking a room at their inn. We spent a couple of hours here and immediately felt right at home. I hope to come back one day for the full inn experience.

We ordered the 3 kebab plate, with chicken, lamb, and Turkish beef. The chicken was good, a bit sour for our kid's liking, and my wife felt it was a bit dry. The lamb was tender and not gamey, but was under seasoned, and that's a pretty big deal. The Turkish beef was the highlight of the three. Great flavor. My wife felt it was pretty tough. It came with pilaf, 1 stuffed grape leaf, salad, macaroni salad, a pita, and garlic sauce. I liked the pilaf, stuffed grape leaf, and garlic sauce. But the pita seemed store bought, the Mac salad was underwhelming, and the salad was okay. One big mark down just for this visit is that the restroom wasn't work, so we had to drive down to the local gas station since we expected a working restroom to be here after our hike. At $22 for a large plate, we are left with mixed feelings. Their menu is large but my concern is it's not sustainable in this economy. If they can manage, great. But I'd cut down on 4 menu items to just have fresh pita on the menu.

It was ok, I had the beef, but I failed to cut it up till half way through and it was hard to eat. Half way through I started cutting up the meat and it tasted so much better and easy to eat. Not so tough and awkward. Today March 28, 2026 is our 2nd visit. We arrived first in the party of 6. They led us to the first table. Two booth seats and a table with 4 chairs. Perfect. Next they have us menus and took our drink orders. As it turns out it was waters for 5 of us and 1 lemonade. As people arrived they individually took out drink orders. Once we got settled they took out orders. I ordered the shawarma, a wrap with tri tip, lettuce, tomato, parsley, tahini sauce. Wrapped in a pocket bread. It comes with: salad, rice, or fries. I got the salad. was delicious. I loved their dressing. The shawarma was delicious. I love how small they cut up the meat and the flavoring. The wait staff was very attentive and checked back with us a few times. Refilling waters, asking us if we wanted boxes. She even came with the boxes as she asked us so all she had to do was pass them out. The restaurant is bright and clean, thought a little cool. They turned off the fans for us and it was perfect. She said it gets warm during the rush. We were first in the restaurant for lunch. 11:30am in a Saturday is early. I look forward to coming back next year when we're back in town.
