I came with my service dog. They were very accommodating giving us both water. There was a strong strange smell I couldn't pinpoint on arrival. The pizza crust was good. The Thai pizza has a kick, not my fave, the Bianco slice was yummy. The meatball sauce was thin but the meatballs were great. The prices were fair and Kira, my waitress, was amazingly attentive and helpful. I enjoyed doing my work here while munching. I would've given 3 stars but Kira earned the extra star. First time at Pitch! The entrance was a little difficult to find when you first walk up from the parking lot because there's no reason signage anywhere. They have LOTS of indoor and outdoor seating. They have slices available ALL DAY for $8. I tried the Tin Man which is essentially sausage, jalapeños, these NASTY mushrooms and a cherry pepper aioli drizzle. Overall, the pizza was good, but the mushrooms had zero flavor and felt like I was eating tentacles... The Basil Pesto Chicken Pie slice was good, but I do wish I would've gotten the pizza of the week which was basically a taco on a pizza. The Short Rib Burrito was AMAZING. The meat was so tender and the green sauce with potatoes is perfection. Would absolutely order that again!! Got a Peach Margarita It was good, but a typical margarita... it tasted like straight lime when we first got it, but our server had them add more peach juice and it was much better. Came here for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised that the happy hour menu (starting at 2 PM) was available- lots of great deals! I tried the bolognese fries, which were absolutely delicious, though the presentation made them a bit tricky to eat at first. I also ordered a slice of the Thai Pie - such a unique and flavorful twist on pizza, unlike anything I've had before. We sat at the bar, and while the service could have been a bit better, the amazing food and cozy ambiance more than made up for it. We went to Pitch on a whim and it did not disappoint. I wish I had pictures, but we ate the food too quickly so I forgot to capture our food. Bolognese dip was fantastic. Our old fashioneds were great and our turkey melt was also very tasty. The restaurant has a very good vibe, it wasn't overcrowded but it was busy for a Friday night. I'm from Omaha and Pitch is one of my favorite spots back home, so I had to check out the Scottsdale location while visiting. Maybe I'm biased, but I don't think it quite measured up to the original. I tried the short rib mac and cheese--good, but I prefer the VIP mac with asparagus, pancetta, and chicken. It has more texture and flavor in my opinion. I did enjoy the Scottsdale-exclusive prickly pear martini--super refreshing and a fun touch! The staff was friendly, and the decor kept the same familiar, upscale-casual vibe I love. I came here for a business lunch and was very pleased with this business. While other ordered pizza to share, I had ordered the stroganoff and it was delicious! Pitch is a beautiful spot for a bite to eat and a refreshing drink. My friend suggested we go to Pitch for happy hour and since I'd never been there I figured it be a great way to try something new! We failed to realize it was the celebration ceremony for the Arizona Rattlers at the same time ! Despite the chaos they found us the perfect spot outside and made sure we were taken care of. The seating outside is open and inviting, and the inside has an incredible bar that overlooks the mountains! The menu boasts tastes for just about anyone, it was actually a challenge to figure out what we wanted to eat. We ended up ordering the macaroni and cheese, burgers, a margarita, and a Mai tai! Our waiter was on it! He was busy with the party going on, but still made sure we had everything we needed and happy with our order. The drinks were great! Not watered down and the flavors we were looking for. The food was warm, seasoned well, and the burger was cooked just as I asked for it. Despite the hustle and bustle going on around us the staff had it taken care of and they didn't rush us out of there. First off, Ava is a G, the real MVP, absolutely made our first trip to Pitch a memorable experience. The whiskey selection is amazing and the food was great as well. I do wish they put the pour prices on the pour menu. It creates a lot of extra work for the staff running back and fourth checking availability and prices. Stopped by Pitch for lunch and LOVED my Cobb salad and prickly pear margarita. Such a fresh and refreshing lunch on a hot summer day. The salad was big, filling, and so tasty! I loved the dressing - just the right amount - and the chicken was the perfect portion. My margarita was the perfect drink to sip on while chatting with a friend over lunch. Our server was very kind during the end of the lunch rush and became more attentive to us as their other tables left. I never had to ask for them to fill my water - 5 star service! The Cesar sauce was actually homemade and you could taste the lemon and anchovies flavors. I wish there was a bit more dressing in it as parts of the salad did feel a bit dry, but the sauce overall was quite good. The salmon was cooked well (and still moist)and seasoned well. Interesting restuarant, the decor was great, wait staff and hosts were good. it is a combination liquor/wine shop and eatery. Some fine items to take home and enjoy in the liquor area. The menu is extensive with many of the usual items done in unique ways. My son and I were there with a Groupon in hand. We decided to share a Pasta and a Pizza, he chose the Pizza, I the Pasta. I chose the Cajun Chicken Penne he chose the Pizza with all kinds of peppers and some pepperoni. Drinks were a beer and a coke. Oh, we also got a half order of fire Mozzarella sticks. The sticks and the drinks arrived first, the sticks were with an arugula salad with some tomatoes . The sticks were very good, lots of texture and nice spices. A half order was two sticks. The pasta arrived next. Penne, chicken and pasta in a sauce with carrots. Truthfully, it was bland, we had to add pepper, red pepper flakes, salt and parmesan to get some taste, the chicken was good as it had some spice on it but overall, underwhelming. The pizza arrived next, jalapeno, pepperoncini, pepperoni toppings. It was quite good except the crust was not good. Their recipe was very heavy, no air or crunch. A tough crust that maybe was what they chose for the pizza, but it was not to my Napoli crust taste, so again I was underwhelmed. Each entree was about $27, the sticks were $12 and with the drinks, the bill came to around $90, a bit pricey but it is a "hip" place. I would give it a "good" at best, but there are lots of other places I would go before I went back to Pitch. read more

We were there last night and has a slightly less than mediocre experience at best. Our service was very slow and they were not crowded. Simple things like water refills or a straw took ten plus minutes. The food was not good. We had a mixture of items ranging from calamari, burger, tortellini, soup, stroganoff, and meatballs. The focaccia tasted stale, the soup was greasy, the burger was gross. The meatballs were good and the tortellini was okay. Everything tasted like hotel food. This area has a lot of great restaurant options nearby and this is not competitive with those. The only reason for three stars were the meatballs and the beautiful view of the mountains from the patio. Inside is such a nice space, great tables and seating. This place used to be so much better and unfortunately has gone downhill. We used to come here every few months as they had great appetizers, fair prices, and great cocktails. They are nicely located right off the 101 and great for meeting people across the valley. We won't be doing that any longer. It was very disappointing. read more

My friend and I wanted to try a new spot for our catch up and goggle popped this up for us. I put a reservation in for Sunday at 1pm. When we arrived, it was actually not that busy but glad to know I still could do a reservation just in case. We've been used to places having such ridiculous long waits on Sundays. This is a pretty cool place, super clean, very chill vibe and the servers were quick and really nice! You can get a slice of any type of pizza they have for $8 and they are larger slices. We got the bianco and the buffalo chicken wing pizza slices and it was so good and you can customize it as needed cause I don't eat onions. So that was nice that I could ask for it off as some places don't do that. Since the pizza was so good we got a couple slices to take home and even as leftovers heated up, it was fantastic. Literally the worst dining experience I've had and it's sad because I used to really like this place: I had a glass of Chardonnay and took a sip and had a huge dead fly go in my mouth. When I mentioned this to the server she said this has been happening a lot and they really need to check the bottom of the glasses. I am so grossed out and there were many other things that went wrong. I had to ask to get it off bill. To top it off they now charge a fee for using a credit card. Brunch was sooooo good! Lots of open air and natural lighting for a fresh and energizing ambiance. Again, large party was a worry but things were very smooth and ran well. Update from 4 to 5 stars. Finally able to come back and update my original review. If you like or love whiskey then Pitch is definitely for you! If you enjoy great pizza and salads with a large cocktail list then Pitch is also for you. I read some recent reviews that this place is going down the drain, and if that happens then I'd Yelp it but it just wasn't our experience. Service was good. Our group of 4 arrived about 7pm and it was busy so we thought we might have a wait. We didn't which is always nice. Our servicer was nice & helpful with cocktail suggestions and answered questions. Many food options, everything sounds great. Was told to come here for whiskey and pizza so we did just that. The ambiance is good with an open dining room and large outdoor patio. The bar is stacked. Really great cocktails and a very long whiskey list for straight pours. We had a great evening with friends and look forward to going back and picking up a bottle of whiskey next time. Hopefully next time we can go for brunch, that menu looks good as well. read more
