This restaurant has a sort of weird array of foods on their menu. When we visited, we tried a couple pizzas and their jambalaya (random). The meat pizza we tried was a little too greasy. The veggie pizza was better. The prices were pretty high. I don't think I'd make a return trip. read more

Superb service by Justin D! He cheerily greeted us at the host stand, offered some creative seating options and walked us to our outdoor table. He continued to entertain us with "magic" tricks and other clever anecdotes. It was such a fun lunch and the food was amazing, too! We ordered a Caesar salad , the largest onion rings I've ever seen, the short rib grilled cheese (because Justin recommended it and it did not disappoint!), buffalo Chicken Sandwich slider with fries (that looked so skinny near the gargantuan onion rings). We obviously ended up with leftovers and Justin brought us our to-go boxes and our check with a magical flair that could only make one giggle! Pitch is a nice place in the middle of a restaurant desert. It's been a go-to for business meetings, casual hangouts, and everything in between. Variety of seating options are available at Pitch- indoor/outdoor seating, barside, tall and low tops, and private spaces. My first visit was a few years ago with family (13 of us total) for a night out dinner while spending a stay-cation at Kierland. We ate and drank well-- a couple of apps, multiple pizzas and a few rounds fed our hungry crowd. Since that first visit I've been multiple times, and Pitch has yet to let me down. The ambiance can be smoky due to the nature of how they cook their pizza. Since it's a fairly modern restaurant with less soft features, it can be fairly loud in there during peak dining hours... so talking to people may be a little difficult. Lots of TVs hung around inside/outside are usually playing sports or ESPN. The food and cocktail programs are phenomenal. If you subscribe to any digital marketing, you'll see they will on occasion have some special nights to pair cocktails or wine with their menu. There's really not anything I've tried on their menu that isn't good. Starters- wings, bruschetta, charcuterie/cheese board, truffle fries and Brussels sprouts. Salad- wedge and chop are super! Pizza- get any of them, they're coal-fired and staff are willing to modify them to your liking. Usually will take a few slices home. The one I like most is The Doc but with red sauce instead of olive oil. Ask for it a little extra time in the oven and you'll thank me later. A couple can be spicy, but again, you can modify it to make it less. As of 2023 Pitch has opened a 2nd location in North Scottsdale... which we can probably attest to how awesome this location is. The bar seating is plentiful but I will say the TVs are super small so if you're there to watch a game you might wana get right in front of one of the TVs. Should just change the name to strikeout at this point. I give this place a shot every so often as I live across the street and see it for its potential but is always a let down. Their food is mid and their drinks are wildly overpriced. ($16 for a margarita) this time I can in with 2 others on a Monday a half hour before happy hour ended in a restaurant at 10% capacity and 100% staffed. There was not once, we did not have to hail our server who in clear view from us spent his time chalking it up with the other staff in the corner as we sat waiting. Each time he came over after being waved to, said "so sorry about that" we don't want you to be sorry, we want you to serve us. I stopped by at Pitch with a few coworkers, who are local. I found Pitch to be a fun, chill spot to have some drinks and bites after work. We sat in the lovely outdoor patio to enjoy the warm weather. It appeared to be first come first serve, so we found an open high table and planted ourselves there. Our server was really friendly and helpful. Timeliness of the drinks and food, however, was lacking. It took a while for our orders to come through especially since there weren't too many guests at the time. We ordered the onion rings, wings, and margherita pizza to share. I had an onion ring and a couple of slices of the margherita pizza. Food was definitely on par to what I expected - nothing more, nothing less. read more

Wow what a great spot for drinks and dinner! We had orders the ahi tuna appetizer and the rosemary wings. Both of these were very tasty and flavorful. The ahi had a good kick to it and an extra little crunch with the pistachios. The wings were very flavorful and the ranch that came with them was perfect as well. For dinner we shared the chicken pesto pizza which was great as well but we couldn't finish it and our server was able to box the rest up for us. Our waiter was awesome and very on top of everything. He always was attentive to when our water was low, or if we needed a drink or how the food was tasting. The ambience was very nice as well and they do have an outdoor patio that is dog friendly. She was definitely hoping we would leave since they close in 30 mins. Food is overpriced and not well prepared. Ribs were dry. Duck was way too salty. The restaurant will nickel and dime you for everything. No refills on soda, but they serve it in a glass, even though they only have cans. Why not just give me a canned coke, so I know there is not a soda fountain? If you want condiments for your fries to-go, they charge you that too. read more

We have been here many times and always had a good experience. This time was not as good. Food was good, but one of our party had a pizza which was burnt on the crust, not edible. Took over 30 minutes to be replaced, and the rest of the party was finished eating. Another person had an omelet that was not up to par. My wife and I split the Mia, very tasty. Service overall was kind of slow and inattentive. Would have been nice to at least have had a manager come to our table and acknowledge and apologize for the experience. We love Pitch! They have delicious pizzas and a wonderful pizza and wine deal during happy hour. All of the cocktails we've tried have been pretty good - the banana split mule which is new is flavorful without being too sweet or tasting like bad fake banana. I was nervous to try it since I've never seen anything like it, but it was just strong enough and had a nice light banana flavor! Very refreshing. The sangria is always delicious and they load it up with fresh berries!! This was our first time getting the artichoke dip and I think that the dip by itself needed salt, but when paired with the cheesy focaccia, it was PERFECT! We always, always get the Buffalo cauliflower because it's the best! Their Buffalo sauce is delicious and they give you a full head of tempura cauliflower so it's great bang for your buck! It can get busy so definitely try to get a table before 5:30 pm on Friday or Saturday...otherwise you're probably going to wait a bit. read more

The recommendation was a special edition smokey RR and it was delicious and well priced.
