Usually love this place and their food. Easy order first system. Usually quick. Sadly, I won't be returning. Visited last night, arrived at 6:30, ordered and found a place to sit with 3 adults and 2 small kids. First portion of order arrived timely with no issues. The issue was that it took over an hour to get the last portion of the order, which included a small cheese pizza for the kids. The major problem occurred when I had to check on the order three times, including twice with the manager. First employee heard me and did not even bother to check on the order. He just advised that the kitchen was backed up. When the last pizzas ultimately did arrive, it was clear that they forgot. When the pizzas were delivered, no apology, nothing, just a statement that the kitchen was backed up. I don't know why the manager could not simply say that the order was dropped, but it ruined the night and I will no longer trust them with my business. If they can't be upfront on this I have bigger concerns. Unfortunately, the last pizza came so late I just had them box it up. By the time I could enjoy it, it was cold and terrible. Time for the ownership to discuss customer service priorities. read more

I've been coming into this pitfire pizza with my family for quite some time now and had kind of a gross experience with a girl at the register tonight. She had extremely long black hair that she kept playing with and it was just kind of grossly getting all over the register while we were talking then proceeded to pick up our drink cups and food items right after brushing her hair with her hands leaving a couple of strands caught in our order so next time I'm really hoping they ask employees to maybe put they're hair back in a ponytail it was just an odd gross experience I'm only glad i knew the hair in our order did not come from the kitchen lol read more

The pizza was disappointing. I was looking for a place that had both gluten free and vegan options. For an extra $3.50 I got the gluten free crust and it was super underwhelming. It felt like it was undercooked and an afterthought. If I'm going to pay over $20 for a pizza it better taste good. There was barely enough for 2 people and what we had was just not good. We got the vegan margherita pizza-the cheese was ok, but the sauce itself was bland and did not feel like there was any thought put into it either. The basil was cooked onto the pizza, rendering it crispy, dry, and unpalatable. The only redeeming factor from my visit is the wings. I really enjoyed the ginger garlic boneless wings, they actually saved my dinner. That and the service was very good. I felt welcome by our cashier. Overall, I would not come back here. read more

We have enjoyed coming here. Recently, we had a sports team party and the staff was so accommodating and it was a fun atmosphere.

Came here this evening for the first time with hubby and wasn't impressed. We walked in and no one greeted us. Not sure where to order we stood there for a few minutes looking around. Another couple walked in and stood in front of us in line. The restaurant was not busy and probably about 5 minutes later someone came and took their order and then walked away. I tried to order online and i was asked to set up an account which I am not going to do for a restaurant. So, I decided to call but I could not find the phone number on their site. My wife found it online and we called to pick up my order. It was supposed to be ready in 15-20 minutes which is quick and I got their 25 minutes after the call. The woman at the counter had to deliver a beer and she said she would return. 3-4 minutes later she returned and helped two others that had shown up after she left. Then she realized she forgot me. I mentioned the other two gentlemen she helped where not here when she initially left. One came from a table for another round of beers and the other had walked in to get a pickup order that was not ready. It was not ready for another 5 minutes or so she said. I said I would order a beer while I waited. As she poured it for me, another lady arrived to replace her and told me my order was $9+. I told her my order online was $31.25 so that wasn't my order. I grabbed my beer and she told me it was $41+ so I paid it with a tip. She then pulled the white bag of to go food and said here you go. I said I would not have ordered a beer if my foot was ready and was so this whole time. She shrugged her shoulders and ignored me. A lack of concern as to service. Someone asked how my food was and I told him all this and not sure if anything will come of it but I am a local since 1998 and have been eating at this place every couple months for since they opened. We wish we had a Pitfire in South O.C. (near Dana Point). We are kind of obsessed with this place. The food is very good. I would recommend the pizza (it is next level). For a lighter dinner, this place has the best salads. #1 is chopped salad #2 is tie between kale and steak and #3 is the Caesar. The spaghetti and meatballs are also amazing. They were SO accommodating, SO sweet and incredible to work with. They handled our crazy 55 guests with ease and helped to provide us with all the food and drinks we needed. I would recommend Pitfire Pizza for their awesome food but also for their special events space. My son's birthday is the day after my husbands AND it's in February. One of my worst experiences at any restaurant in my life. 1. Food was extremely delayed. After like 45 minutes of waiting they told us they didn't even have the main ingredient for our pizzas. Pitfire will give you a pin to write a yelp review, however their online ordering system will tell you to show up 20 minutes earlier than anticipated. The management will do nothing to help remedy this issue. The service is confusing, to order gets confusing the tipping is confusing and the pizza is expensive! The front person who takes your order is very often overwhelmed and this prolongs the simple process. Please note that I am writing this review at 7:15PM.
