Ordered the Honey Bear pizza. Was super excited to try it because it's listed as one of their more popular items. Beautiful looking pizza. Bland in taste. Very bland. Fennel-less sausage. Barely any sauce. It wouldn't have mattered. The most flavorless pie I've ever tasted. Had to doctor it up a lot with my own garlic and basil. The honey was the most prominent flavor. Essentially I was eating a dessert.

Found my new go to when I'm in the area!!! We did a take out order and just being there in person i think we need to eat in person for the vibes It's spacious! Plenty of seating and they have a parking lot and more street parking. Staff were on it fulfilling take out orders and also orders of people dining in. I love the variety of their menu and was happy with the pasta i chose! I added chicken to it and it was the shredded type, i wish it was grilled but whatever it was still good. The Hawaiian pizza was yummy but i wish it was bigger lol We'll come back so we can dine in.

Pitfire always hits the spot, but the seasonal jalapeño, pepperoni, and pineapple pizza was next-level good. The crust was perfectly charred, the pepperoni had that crispy curl, the pineapple was super fresh, and the jalapeños added the perfect kick without overpowering everything. It's that perfect sweet-spicy-savory combo. I also got the kale salad, and it was honestly one of the best kale salads I've had -- super fresh, great dressing, and the toppings actually bring flavor instead of just being filler. Light, crunchy, and a great balance with the pizza. Service was fast, everything came out hot, and the food was consistently great. Definitely recommend if you want something a little elevated but still casual and delicious.

Pizza was mediocre it had limited cheese. The pizza sauce was delicious and the crust was good. I won't be back, the pizza wasn't as good as it was years ago. The restaurant was spacious ,Great for family gatherings. Very casual; the restrooms were messy and needed cleaning.

Been here twice now The pepperoni is our go to! We usually do takeout so we add a bit of hot honey when we get home and it tastes amazing! I've tried the buffalo boneless wings and i wasn't that big of a fan but my fiancé enjoyed them. The kale salad is good too but feels a bit pricey for what you get Nonetheless the pizza doesn't disappoint and we will be giving the pasta a try next time we go!

I'm also from San Francisco, and there's alot of artisanal pizza places-so I'm always purveying for artisanal pizza in the Los Angeles region to satisfy my pizza tooth. Pitfire Artisan Pizza is an answer to that. They make artisan pizzas in front of you. I ordered the Sausage Party Pizza and the Chicken and Mushroom Cavatappi. Both entrees were really good. The Sausage Party Pizza had some kind of balsamic glaze that I thought was on the sweet side, but overall the pizza was still very good. Maybe you could tell them to leave it out if you don't want your pizza too sweet. The crust is thin to medium size. The cavatappi was rich and buttery with big hunks of chicken and mushroom. They have vegan/vegetarian options for pizza, pasta, and sides, if you're not a meateater. The interiors are spacious and industrial/modern with lively music. They still have the alien graffiti art by Daniel Johnston. I've seen that alien for at least 15 years on their wall since I've been coming to Pitfire Artisan Pizza in Culver City since 2010. It's comforting to see it again after so many years. They have long tables for big groups. Service was good and prompt. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed.

    Buffalo boneless wings

Service here was great - friendly, prompt, and attentive but not overly so. Food came out fast and they refilled our fountain drinks without us having to ask. We ordered the buffalo wings and Zoe's pepperoni pizza. The server staged it nicely, wings first and pizza a bit after. The wings were decent, boneless but still with dark meat. The sauce flavor was good but the meat was a little stringy, and some were clumped together making the size of wings pretty uneven and cooked differently. Blue cheese was solid. The pizza didn't much flavor and under seasoned. First bite I took yanked the cheese off, I think they use mozzarella balls and the distribution was uneven, and it was a little coagulated. The bottom of pizza was dusty which is not my fave. To sum up, service was great with fun and friendly vibes - but the food was lackluster. If I came here again, would order one of the pizzas with more toppings to give it more flavor.

Great tasting Pizza perfect. Fold perfect. Cook on the bottom

I want to say I have been driving by this place for years. OMG the pizza at this place has a great taste. The mozzarella is so fresh. Cooked perfectly the correct brown on the bottom and fold the ratio of meat and cheese is perfect. We were the first ones here in this place when they opened up the floor. Chairs and tables were extremely clean. Staff was friendly. Abundance is perfect for a group setting or even if you want to sit by yourself.

In the store with two gluten free pizzas

Pitfire Pizza continues to be a very solid option in LA, even when going gluten free. I tried the gluten-free sausage & ricotta and the gluten-free mushroom pizza, both were excellent, but the mushroom really stole the show. Deep flavor, well balanced, and thoughtfully put together. The crust was crispy and held up well, which isn't always a given with gluten-free pizza. Clean flavors and strong execution across the board, and a great option if you're looking for a gluten-free pie that doesn't feel like a compromise.

    So trash

Place is definitely hit or miss. Just got the worst pizza I've ever eaten in my life. Dough tasted old and burnt, and yet still managed to be a floppy mess. How do you mess up a pizza so bad? It's 2026 restaurants are in major decline and overcharging for absolute garbage. Also the cheesy knots tasted like hollow bread dog sh** not sure if I'll be back.

    Ashley C.

Pretty good! The dough was just a little too chewy for my taste and the crust a little too thick in the back. Sauce could have been spread a bit more evenly and closer to the crust - had a slice where it was not even remotely close. But flavors overall were good and we enjoyed our meal and the casual vibe. Parking lot is a bit small / tight and they always look busy whenever I drive by.

Love that they have other options besides pizzas including vegetable side dishes! The honey bear pizza was delicious. Also tried the spicy rigatoni alla vodka but would pass on this next time. Appreciate their prices too...many places charge $25 for the same pizzas which is insane

Do you have a baby changing table?

    We do.

Is the honey bear spicy (asking for a 4 year old 😂)?

Hi BB, the Honey Bear has calabrian chili and chili flakes, but both can be removed for a spice-free version!

Do you still have pizza making days on Tuesdays?! If so, can you tell me more!?

Hi Melanie, we do pizza making parties by reservation only. You can reach out to Jake@pitfirepizza.com for inquiries! We look forward to hosting you soon.

Did they recently change the mozzarella cheese? I've been coming to Pitfire for years, and today the cheese tasted different.

Hi there, yes we did recently change our mozzarella to Grande, it’s a creamery in Wisconsin that uses no preservatives or additives and very high quality dairy. Did you like it? We appreciate the feedback!

Does this place have gluten free crust?

    Yes we do.

I ordered The Spicy P ($16.00), featuring a chicken cutlet, spicy vodka sauce, mozzarella, basil pesto, grated Romano, and fresh basil, all on a grilled seeded baguette. As a big fan of Chicken Parm, a dish I enjoyed often growing up, I was thrilled to find a place serving it on the West Coast. I used to get chicken parm subs regularly when I lived in MA, so it was wonderful to find something that brought back those familiar flavors - a truly authentic East Coast-style sandwich. I appreciated the chewiness of the seeded baguette and the sesame seeds added a nice textural element. The bread was soft and fresh, and the chicken cutlets were excellent, smothered in gooey, cheesy goodness. While I loved the spicy vodka sauce, it wasn't very spicy, especially for a sandwich named "Spicy."I really enjoyed the Spicy P and would definitely order it again, but I'd also like to come back and try The Crispy Chicken Caesar Wrap next time. Ggiata is definitely worth checking out. I recommend ordering online in advance to avoid a long wait. They have a few stools inside and chairs outside, but it's better to take it to go and enjoy the beach or people-watch in Venice.

There's not a ton of room to stand to wait so I'd recommend ordering ahead to pick up. Parking was impossible too so if you can walk I'd recommend that or park in the neighborhoods somewhere. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap and it was large so you definitely get your bang for your buck. It came with a side of caesar dressing which I felt it needed as the wrap it self was a little dry due to having light dressing. The chicken was fresh which I loved and they even included croutons inside. Overall the wrap was very good! Next time, I'll be ordering it to be delivered.

My review to you my love…read more United Bowl Nation in Marina del Rey is truly a one-of-a-kind Mediterranean gem -- a place that touches your heart as much as your palate. From the moment you walk in, you feel it: every single staff member, including the wonderful owner Orcun, pours their heart and soul into creating a truly special experience. The warmth, sincerity, and care are felt instantly. The service is simply outstanding -- attentive, professional, and incredibly kind. You are never just a customer here; you are a welcomed guest. Their knowledge of wine is remarkable. The team guides you through their beautiful wine selection with such passion and detail, it feels like being introduced to wine by true gourmet connoisseurs. And the food... out of this world. I adore Mediterranean cuisine, but this place takes it to another level. This is Mediterranean heaven. Every dish is a perfect harmony of taste, presentation, and soul. It's not just food -- it's art. Each plate feels thoughtfully designed, deeply flavorful, and made with love. United Bowl Nation is more than a restaurant -- it's an experience. A rare place where excellence, heart, and authenticity come together beautifully. I cannot recommend it enough. We came in during Happy Hour and ordered the Beef Cigar Rolls ($18.50), the Slow Roasted Beet Salad ($24.95), and a glass of red wine ($15.50). Those three items alone came out to $67 after tax, which made the rest of the experience even more disappointing. The woman at the front did not honor the Happy Hour price on the Beef Cigar Rolls, even though their sign clearly says Happy Hour is from 5-7pm, Wednesday through Sunday. The Beef Cigar Rolls themselves were just okay. The yogurt mint sauce was good, but the "wagyu" filling was fairly dry when you tasted it on its own. The Slow Roasted Beet Salad was especially disappointing for the $25 price. It was mostly a large pile of lettuce with dressing, raw cuts of cauliflower (not cauliflower rice as mentioned), and only a few beets -- with no carrots, even though they're listed on the menu. Another confusing part was the menus. They seem to have three different versions -- the website, the framed menu at the restaurant, and the printed paper menus -- and they don't match. Some Happy Hour items aren't listed on any menus, just the outdoor sign, and some items on the website aren't on the printed menu. Overall, maybe it was just an off day, but between the service and the food quality not matching the price, I wouldn't come back.
