Honestly this is my favorite restaurant in the area. They have the best cheese like if you're a cheese lover like me you must come here! I don't know how you can give less than 5 stars. So glad I found this place. Three things I like about this place is that it's easy to find, the price is right, and the portions you get is great. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak 12in sub which costs $9.99 along with fries and a soda. They don't skimp on their fries either. I paid $15 for a sub/fries/drink and onion rings. Pizza & Gyro restaurant has really good food and it's all halal. This place is very family friendly and the staffs are very nice and helpful. My parents only eat Halal food so this is a great place to take them to or pick up food from. They have a large selection to pick from which is always good! Me and my sister ordered here for lunch today and it was a little annoying that the person taking my order hardly spoke English. Aside from that the food arrived in no time and all the food was hot, but my bottle water was also hot. I got the gyro platter which was inexpensive comparably and delicious. Although my slice of cheesecake was embarrassingly tiny. My sister got the hunger buster calzone and some onion rings. She says that the calzone was really good Though she was pissed that they failed to give us any ketchup although we specifically asked for it. I discovered this place shortly after moving to Springfield. I was happy to find it is a small-family owned business that has been here in Springfield forever. It is currently run by the second generation of the Malek family. Great gyros and pizza. The pizza varies a bit. Sometimes the pizza almost has *too much* cheese. But it is always good. The menu has a nice range of options. The lunch special is a great deal if you are on a budget. Getting a cannoli is mandatory. I used to live near Cleveland's little Italy and Malek's is even better than Corbo's there! They even throw in some chocolate sauce to make the experience even more luscious (not needed by a very nice add on). Covid precautions are good. If you are ordering take out they will do curb side (make sure to bring cash so you can tip). I will enjoy trying additional menu items. My 9-yer old loves the pizza and I get an entree and we bring the pizza home. :) Watch the coupon mailers for coupons, or join their email list. read more

My complaints are that the meat was pretty dry, the pita bread was hard and stale, and customer service was lacking. Seems like it was an off day. As far as their customer service goes, the women at the front who take the calls seem a little confused when I go over my order with them. Very good place if you want some halal pizza. They have many different varieties and fusion pizzas that satisfy a desi taste bud. I always order a monster pizza for my big family and bring it home. The pizza is huge and I get it half with steak and cheese and half with chicken gyro and I like it spicy. Their chicken tikka pizza is really good too and already spicy. Try them next time you go and you won't be disappointed. Their kabob rolls are great specially the bihari kabob one. They have good steak and cheese sub, a decent burger and wings. Here's is my review update. After I thought all was done with this restaurant and pizza, I get a knock on my door a couple days after my review. To my surprise, the owners of the restaurant showed up and came to personally deliver the same pizza again! I was pretty shocked since this kind of stuff never happens. Talk about customer service! I tried the pizza and honestly, it's really one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Even the crust was so tasty and full of flavor, I ate that too (I usually never eat crusts)! There was def enough cheese and pepperoni that I can't complain about. I def have changed my opinion about this pizza. I will of course give this place another try. I'm curious to know if the pizza will be consistent. also, there's so much other things on the menu I am eager to try as well! But the customer service is really what sold me. Can't beat that! Bahh! Still somewhat conflicted over how I feel about Pizza & Gyro. My cousin and I were feeling particularly gluttonous one day, so we made a massive order for delivery. Between the two of us, we thought it would be wise to order an order of fries, cheesy garlic bread, fettuccine alfredo, and spaghetti and meatballs. Needless to say, we got through about 1/3 of the food, and had my boyfriend clean-up the rest when he got home from work ;) I feel like all of the food would have tasted so much better if I opted for pick-up instead of delivery. We ordered through their website, and the food took about 75 minutes to get to my front door. By the time I opened everything up, most of the food was lukewarm and the sauce and noodles congealed in a not-so-delicious way. However, because we were so hungry, I will say that we enjoyed the food overall. ESPECIALLY THE CHEESY GARLIC BREAD. But then again, Ashley S. and I are suckers for any kind of carb covered in melted cheese, haha. Obviously, I still have yet to try their pizza and that is what everyone raves about. Got takeout from here for the first time. Ordered a side of French fries, and a small pizza. I asked for half steak pizza, and half hunger buster. I must say, I throughly enjoyed both flavors as well as the fries. Pizza was fresh, and flavorful, and the French fries were hot, and crispy, with actual potatoes in them! I chose this establishment based on the Yelp reviews and cuisine. Being a fan of steak and cheese subs, I was hoping that I would be able to try their product. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. After seating ourselves, we waited approximately 15 minutes to have our drink orders placed. I noticed that there were about 3 or more customers come in and pick up their to-go orders while we were waiting for someone to initially come over. As time continued to pass, we never had anyone come over to our table and chose to leave. Maybe I just caught the staff on a bad day, but I just wish that it had been a better experience. read more

When you put "gyro" in your name, you better damn well do a good gyro. And they do. Best gyro in the area, and when ordering delivery, they generally get to you before the Eta. Also, I am impressed with the delivery, as they've never had trouble finding my office, whereas pretty much every Uber driver ever has gotten lost trying to get here. A halal pizza joint? Whoa! I was drawn to this restaurant based off its positive reviews and the fact that I needed a place that could feed me quickly. As soon as we walked in, we were surprised by the menu since it's not your typical Italian joint. I was legitimately impressed by the creative halal offerings in pizza and burger forms. It wasn't until we sat down after ordering and looked at their online menu when we saw that they also offered your typical pizzas (combination, Hawaiian, etc.). When you look at their menu at the store front, they primarily highlight their halal offerings. We ended up getting mozzarella sticks (hard, crisp exterior with gooey interior), hot wings (the sauced kind, not dry rub - yum!), greek gyro, and charcoal chicken roll (the lime juice and pastry-like wrap were delicious). I also really enjoyed their fries - really crispy exterior. If you're dining in, they won't deliver the food to your table. You have to watch for them to call your order out, and you pick it up at the counter. Be sure to bus your own table when you're done. Ordered 3 pizzas, was given a delivery time of 5:21PM to 5:31 PM, AT 5:40 pm, I called this restaurant, first person I spoke to didn't know nothing about the order. 2nd person I talked to wasn't sure about the order, then said I see it, we will deliver shortly. At 6PM, I called back, was told be there 10 to 15 minutes. At 6:20PM, I canceled the order. At this time it has been 1 hour 50 min since order was placed. I was told I can't cancel the order since it was in transit. Delivery shows up at 6:30PM, 2hrs after order was placed, 1 hours after email said it would be delivered. I was informed that no refund is available. So, this is no fault of my own, at this point the restaurant decided to take the HIGH ROAD & refused my refund. I will be speaking with my bank about this. What the restaurant should've done at 6PM, was to cancel the order & apologize. Then ask if I would like to re-order , which I would've said no. This is not how you treat a paying customer. I dont know how this place has good reviews. The crust was awful, hard very bland, pizza sauce and toppings very bland, no flavor whatsoever. The margherita pizza was terrible, very little fresh mozzarella, the basil was dried basil seasoning, not fresh, not many fresh tomatoes, over all very disappointing to say the least. To add insult to injury, for the price I could have purchased 2 pizza from Giant that would have tasted better for a fraction of the price, also pizza was not hot when delivered, no hot oven bag to keep pizza warm, delivery guy just handed me the boxes. i ordered a pizza and a sub from this place. I asked the cashier to say call before arriving, they did not. The staff seems to barely speak any English and barely understood anything I said, even though I talked clearly. The pizza was pretty good, above average and worth a try again. Pizza and Gyro has been our go to spot for American Halal food for years. I have to admit, with how often we go here, I'm surprised by all the negative reviews. The mozzarella sticks and the chicken tenders are your starting point into a world of gluttony. The pizza's are consistently great, (we just had the Monster sized Barbecue Chicken one, and none of us could stop at just one slice!) The subs are addicting, The gyro platter and the gyro salad are both fantastic, and even better they always give you a ton of fries (yay!) Oh and the owner (who we usually see, when we go in) speaks flawless English and is always willing to edit and/or add to orders. It was quite a cultural experience coming to this strip mall. Many run down looking eating joints two to three of them serving the same thing. The pizza Gyro is no exception. Catered food and everyone absolutely loved it! My wife and I order Pizza & Gyro at least once a week. We love it. It started with their famous steak and cheese, moved to wings, then pizza, and just about everything else. It's one of the only restaurants where I've ordered multiple items off the menu and loved every one of them. After consulting with many caterers for our daughter's first birthday party (we were expecting 250+ people) we just couldn't find anything within our budget that would give us multiple food items. Then one of us had the brilliant idea to give Pizza & Gyro a shot. The owner was very easy to work with, provided us with an estimate of multiple items including Monster Pizzas, Chicken Tenders, Baked Chicken Legs/Thighs, and fries - All which came at a very reasonable price. Our food was delivered on time and the guests loved every item including children who couldn't get enough of the Monster Pizzas (2ft diameter). My wife and I are very satisfied how everything turned out - we will definitely look into future catering with Pizza & Gyro. read more
