This is a supposed greek restaurant and they serve gyro out of a box. It is not fresh or traditional. Gyro If it's authentic should be on a rotating upright rotisserie. For anyone that says it's a good gyro they have zero clue lol . Might as well be eating a steakum. The chicken gyro is also a huge joke. It's just chicken. My husband and I are greek. We always enjoy coming here or getting take out. Sure the service may be a little relaxed sometimes, but it fits the easy going family atmosphere. The pizza is solid and gyros are as good as you can get in 100 mile radius, which is what my entire family ordered last night, and everybody was happy. We ordered chicken souvlaki platters (chicken on pita with a side of perfectly hot, crispy steak fries, plus an unexpected salad), kid grilled cheese + thin fries, and some drinks. *The Greek food fulfilled cravings we didn't know we had.* As you can see in the photo it was a quiet place to eat on a Saturday at 11:30am -- perfect for our group. This restaurant experience was such a delightful surprise! For my birthday I wanted to come and get my birthday Bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. The plan afterwards was to go to a Thai restaurant for dinner. However it started pouring and it late in the evening and the kids were getting cranky. So I begrudgingly suggested we go next door to La Casa which I didn't know what to expect because I had never been. But anyone with little hungry crabby kids in tow know that decisions must be made fast even though they wouldn't have been what you would have chosen otherwise... When we came in, we were seated right away and given menus. I was surprised at how expansive the menu was, and relieved to see a solid kids menu with decent prices. The restaurant was cozy and clean and you can tell there were local regulars here. I ordered a pizza and was glad we could do half and half. So I ordered veggie pizza and the other side meat toppings. Kids got spaghetti and cheeseburger and husband got tuna sandwich. Our waitress was kind and attentive to us and the kids, which is always a plus. The food came out really quickly, fresh and hot. I was surprised at how big the pizza was...and it was so tasty!! I wasn't expecting it to be so good but it was. My husband informed the waitress that it was my birthday and she brought out a dessert of my choice and ice cream for the kids. Have been a customer since they opened but not to frequent now since my relocation to Maryland. Yesterday my husband and I drove over about 730. We waited were seated and that was it. The young waitress visited the table behind us 2 times never letting us know someone would be with us. After 10 minutes or so we left. I did return to let the person on duty I was displeased. She did explain the young lady was leaving which she did while I was speaking to the person in duty. The young lady even stopped by the table to tell the ladies behind us good night. The other lady that had been working with someone else thought we were in the restroom. That showed they never turned around to check on us. We left and were in car when I decided to go back in to let them know why we left. She did ask us if we were coming back, but know my dream of dinner was over. Nobody greeted us at the door so we kind of stood looking around until we were sat towards the end of the room. There we could see the staff sitting at the end of the bar playing on their phones. The waitress was polite even as she didn't ask how I wanted my steak cooked. As soon as we ordered, all 4 employees were back to the corner of the bar to chat and eat. My food came out quickly but my steak was medium well and bland. The Irish Coffee saved the day, however. I also don't know who in Harambe's name made the eggs but they were extremely runny. One more Irish whiskey and I felt better about it. Still, this place is just ok. I might consider returning to try the other food and pizza but not breakfast. read more

I have been patronizing this restaurant since high school (1983)! This was a carry out order. The Gyro sandwich was excellent as always! It was made with chopped onions now instead of sliced which is much better since I usually ask hold the onions. The four rating is because the steak fries where over cooked. read more

They do not skimp on portion size, quality, and amount of toppings and cheese on your pizza. I I thought it was a typo when I saw my bill as it was so reasonable in this day and age. Customer service today was the worst. Asked for a grill cheese sandwich with fries. Initially received a sandwich with one slice of cheese not melted. Asked for the cheese to be melted with more cheese added. Finally came out with order, and I asked if they had a new cook. She immediately got an attitude, and said you always give us issues when you come here. You can accept the order or you can just leave. Added that she's been working there for over 20 years. Which you would've thought the customer service would've been better based on that response. This is the worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant. You don't chastise or be disrespectful to a customer just because there order isn't to their liking. The employees there need to take up some customer service training. My group was having a good time. Then they realized they had been waiting a long time for their food. The restaurant was mostly empty so they were not overwhelmed with customers. The waitress started making mistakes and getting irritable and raising her voice when we had to correct her. We were automatically billed a twenty percent gratuity even though the service was poor. I complained to the owner about not having a choice and required to pay the 20% but she said it was computerized and she lied and said she couldn't do anything to change the mandatory gratuity. I'm not a big fan of the thick cut fries and the rest room does not always smell febreezy, but highly recommend here for low key, high quality family dinner. Good NY style pizza. Loved the veggie offerings with toppings of caramelized onions and basil. Why not order extra toppings of both, we piqued. Yumm...the pizza was so aromatic. Hmm...disappointed somewhat that we were charged extra for the "extra" toppings upon arrival of the bill. But gf and I were so happy by then, we didn't care. The gyros were the pre-frozen slices and did not have too much flavor, and the tzatziki sauce was watered down. The chicken souvlaki was juicy, but there was a thick herb-crust to it that masked the chicken itself. My husband wasn't a fan of his. My wife and I love coming to La Casa! They serve pizza, italian and greek food. We've ordered pizza there a few times, we've enjoyed every pizza, except for the cheese pizza. The cheese pizza was dry, but all the other pizzas we've tried were delicious. The la casa salad is our favorite, it's a greek salad served with grilled chicken. The chicken on the salad is grilled to perfection, and the greek dressing is nice and light, but has a great taste. We've also tried the meatballs, which turned out to be really good, but we usually just get the salad and a slice of pizza, or order a whole pizza. I have been to La Casa about 5 times and come here as part of a recurring group monthly. The food is okay, nothing special but enjoyable. Last night, I went with a group from Cameron Station during La Casa's happy hours. I asked the server if it was still happy hour prices and she replied yes. I then asked about white wine and she said they had chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and pinot grigio. I ordered a chardonnay, which was very bad - sour almost like the bottle had gone bad. So, on the next 2 rounds, I changed to sauvignon blanc. My wife had 2 pinot Grigio. When the bill came, the chardonnay was $4 (happy hour price) but the sauvignon blanc and pinot Grigio were $9 per drink. When I asked, the waitress said that only the chardonnay was a happy hour drink. I told her she stated the names of all three when I asked about happy hour white wines. She was adamant that she had only given chardonnay as a happy hour drink and said the other 2 white wines were available. That was BS and I URGE EVERYONE TO AVOID LA CASA UNTIL IT STOPS RIPPING CUSTOMERS OFF. read more
