The straw that broke the camels back was the last time we ordered they delivered completely incorrect pizza. I came to this place to try something new for lunch. DON'T come in to this at all. This food is trash. I tried one of their lunch specials. The gyro and fries. My gyro had mushrooms on it ?! No gyro from all of the other places have that ingredient on it. They were very skimpy on the meat and I guess the mushrooms were suppose to replace that texture. Now for the taziki sauce, it made ranch seem like a bleu cheese. It was so thin and tasted like trash. I would not recommend this place. I'm so disappointed. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to give Pizza Bella just a 3 star review. It's hard for me to do, but I think it has to be done. My boyfriend and I have been getting fliers for them in the mail for some time, so when we were going out one evening for a play, we decided to stop there for a bite beforehand. Pizza Bella is a tiny, little pizza place near Emory next to the Kroger off of Briarcliff Rd. As we walked up, we weren't even sure they had sit down dining inside, but they did - just not much of it. Lucky for us, even on a Saturday night, it wasn't busy. After looking over the menu, which is all locally sourced, organic and non-GMO, I might add, we decided to order the Bayou Bella pizza: a pizza with Andouille sausage, onions, peppers and chicken. In addition to pizzas they offer: chicken wings, calzones, salads, sandwiches and sides like fries and bread sticks - it's pretty extensive, I must say. We took a seat at one of the little booths, and hung out until our pizza was ready. It was brought out hot and fresh from the oven and the staff that night were friendly. Unfortunately, I just wasn't that impressed with the pizza. It was good, but it wasn't mind blowing, especially with the stiff competition around Atlanta. I would even say the pizzas I make at home are close to on par with the one we had. We both enjoyed it, but I don't know if we'll be going back for more anytime soon. Maybe Pizza Bella's better for delivery or calzones, but in that case, I'd just as soon make my own at home with a premade pizza crust as order one out and wait for it to be delivered. Atlanta isn't exactly know for its pizza but this place is less than mediocre. Not to mention the employees were rude and the place itself feels filthy. The "chopped" salad was not chopped and the chicken parm was like nothing we've seen before and to make it worse was served with a side of chips and a pickle. C'mon Atlanta what's that about? We ordered chicken parm, not a turkey club. There is no chance they would pass a surprise health inspection between the dirty silverware and kitchen staff handling money in the register and then touching food without stopping to wash hands. We witnessed an employee put cream on her "blistered ears" in the kitchen which alone was enough to lose an appetite. If they weren't situated so close to a college campus where take out and delivery are in high demand this place would not survive. If you're looking for place to eat I would suggest going elsewhere. read more

I've gotten their pizza 5 times, and it has improved every time. It's been delivered piping hot each time, but the last three times the crust has still been crispy. Pizza Bella is our go-to pizzeria for delivery. Everything from the toppings to the cheeses to the sauces and dressings is either locally sourced or made in-house, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We really like The Smokey - spinach, mushrooms, parmesan, and meatballs. MEATBALLS!! Go get it. We also had a new specialty pizza with prosciutto, fresh basil, mozzarella, ricotta, and a balsamic drizzle - again, perfection. The folks who run the place are incredibly nice, and I have not had a problem with online ordering for delivery unlike some of the negative reviews have mentioned. And hey, once in a blue moon snafoos will happen - no reason to rush off to give a bad review when the food is this good, imho. read more

Life is too short so I am always looking for new places to go out for our group work lunches. I wasn't really in the mood for pizza since I had been eating it all week, but I had already planned the location far in advance. Picked solely due to the ratings here on Yelp! Once I arrived, I was surprised by the small space. There were only a few tables that would accomodate our party of 4. It is so cramped. You probably want to get their early to avoid any rush period. Luckily, our lunch outing was scheduled for 11:30. They have some lunch specials that are posted at the counter. We all opted for one of the multiple options. For me, it was a slice with salad and drink. For a slice of cheese it is under $8. Though the special says cheese, you can add whatever toppings you wish and pay the extra amount. I added pepperoni. You can choose from 3 different salads. I believe it was Greek, Bella, and Caesar. I really wanted the Sweet Spinach, but that's OK. I also order garlic stix to share at the table. We were all first timers so we didn't realize that we needed to get our own supplies. To go cups are all they have. Those are over by the drink station. You will also find silverware, straws, extra garlic (yay! wish I would have seen that before I ate my slice), and other items. Once the server saw that we didn't have silverware when our salads were delivered, he brought them to us. The salads were huge. The salad dressing amount seemed appropriate. I could not finish the salad. The slice was also huge! My friend ordered two slices and said if he had known that they were that big then he would have only ordered one. The pepperoni were on the small size, but no big deal. The pizza (NY style) was cooked well and tasted pretty good. Not the best slice, but still good. The crust must had some garlic butter applied. I don't normally eat crust but I ripped up the top of it. :-) The order of garlic stix was also huge! Do they do anything small? Well, besides the pepperoni. It was the perfect amount for the four of us. Could have used more garlic, but what couldn't. You need to pay more for extra marinara sauce, but they gave us plenty. There was no need. I guess that's about it. My favorite thing was actually the small slice of dough that comes with the salad. OMG. Divine. A friend commented on how she could eat a basket full of that bread. I saw Pizza Bella mentioned in Creative Loafing's pizza showdown or whatever they called it and realized I should give it a try while I'm still in the area. I didn't go with the one they used in the rankings, but a different one of their specialty pizzas, the big fat Greek, as well as some cheese sticks. I figured out where this place was from the address and map but when I got there, wow, yeah you really have to be looking for it. It's tiny inside and you can eat there, but I can't imagine you'd really want to. I spent roughly $30 and it really wasn't worth it. It's the first time that I feel like I've struggled to eat all my leftover pizza. The Greek alone was like $21 for a large, I think it's just a few dollars overpriced for what it is. They use high quality ingredients but I dunno I feel like when you got so much going on, that really doesn't make much of a difference. It is a good pizza, but I think you're probably better off sticking to maybe one topping, which I'll be trying another time if I crave pizza in the next few weeks. The cheesesticks though were delicious, super cheesy and this gave me a chance to try their tomato sauce which was really good - definitely think this is why their stuff would be better on a less busy pizza. I appreciate the creativity and everyone who works here is really nice but definitely stick with simplicity to save money and maximize your tastebuds' approval! (This will also be the first and last time I order through Yelp because wtf it doesn't give you a time to know when your order will be ready, I guessed 25 minutes and I was wrong. I am staying near Pizza Bella and ordered delivery since the folks at the hotel order from them a lot. 2 small pizzas were delivered quickly and it was hot and fresh. Ordered the chicken, bacon, white sauce, tomatoes and spinach - think BLT with chicken. Was wonderful! Also had the buffalo chicken. They did not ask if I wanted mild or hot as indicated on the menu. I seem to have gotten the mild, it was flavorful, delicious but a bit greasy. I will absolutely order again. Many specialty pizzas to choose from which really surprised me. Anywho, Pizza Bella is a small dine-in, takeout and delivery pizza place. The ambiance is non existent, but the food totally makes up for it! We ordered a large Bella salad, an order or bruschetta and a pizza called the Big Fat Greek! The crust of the pizza was awesome, great texture and slightly crispy and buttery. Pizza Bella has my favorite pizza in Atlanta, maybe in the world. The crust is garlicy and perfectly crispy and soft. The ingredients are always fresh - the cheese, vegetables, pepperoni, chicken. . . My favorites are the feta pizza, the veggie pizza, and even the BBQ chicken pizza, and I don't usually like BBQ chicken pizza. Delivery is always timely and the pizza is intact. (That's not always the case with some pizzerias.) The staff is always friendly. The pizza and service is so fab that I order it a little too often. Called in expecting Jagger's, but found that it closed down in favour of the new franchise in town, Pizza Bella. Normally, I feel that a plain cheese pizza is the best way to test out the quality of any competent pizza joint, but as the very word "calzone" makes my mouth water, I decided on a spinach calzone, instead. My phone call was answered promptly and courteously, and the order was delivered quickly. I opened the box to find that my calzone was positively massive - just the way I like 'em. Heck, I had to take a break about halfway through. This thing was delightfully filling. The cheese was just the right level of gooey; the spinach tasted fresh and blended well with the cheese and dipping sauce (which, by the way, was plentiful enough for the whole thing). And that parmesean-garlic glaze gracing the gargantuan good's surface... I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. I've noticed that a lot of people are already talking about this place, and it's easy to see why. Jagger's had something of a loyalist following in the local area, but I have to say that the old establishment was pretty rough around the edges, as far as its decor and professionalism are concerned. Pizza Bella has got it all and more. Fans of Jagger's need not weep. There's nothing lost here - just the birth of a great pizza restaurant that will surely outgrow the shadow of its jagged predecesor and beyond. read more

This place has a lot of potential. The sauce and crust of their pizza is very well flavored. My disappointment was how soggy the pizza was, especially since my order was a simple cheese pizza. The pizza simply could not be picked up without all of the cheese falling off and the crust drooping. I hope the owners of this place consider changing the flour they use to have a soft, yet sturdy pizza. I think that would make this place 5 stars. Walk-in special: XL pie with 2 toppings for $16 = YES YES YES! The crust here is killer and makes the pie amazing. The style of pie reminds me of Mellow, especially the crust, but I think the water used in the dough here has to be the secret cause Mellow's crust doesn't hit like this. Not sure if it had been sitting back there or if oven was broke. I recently tried their subs and wings and those were excellent as well. The subs are made from the same dough they make their pizza crust which is very unique and a great option. Got a call almost as soon as I entered the order. The restaurant called to advise that one of the items we ordered had been removed from the menu. They apologized profusely and said they would send another item (even of higher charge) to replace it. Delivery driver was on time and super friendly/kind. Now to the pizza. It was delicious.
