One thing you gotta know about the deep dish pizzas, they take longer to cook cause they're just so big and need more cooking time, like maybe 35-40 minutes, depending on how busy the kitchen is. Also, adding a 3% "happy and healthy" charge (that is NOT gratuity!) to "support our ability to provide sustainable income" automatically added to every bill is SO CHEAP and cringy- PAY YOUR OWN EMPLOYEES. Build into the cost of your food. This place has gone downhill. Food was decent. That's the only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of one.

Nice, quaint little pizza shop. The red checkered table clothes reminded me of the pizza & pasta restaurant my parents owned while I growing up. A few TV's in the small locations for those who enjoy watching sports while dining. I'm writing this review after my second visit. First Visit: I had pizza and the antipasti salad. The pizza had good flavor but I prefer a little thicker doughier crust. It didn't knock my socks of in any way. The staff was friendly Second Visit: After getting a flyer in the mail, throughout we would go try the All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti & Lasagna offered on Mondays. It's a great value for $6.75 (massive portion & included salad and garlic bread) but unfortunately I was disappointed with the sauce. The meat sauce was far too "tomatoey" and lacked the spices & savory chunky meat style I prefer. I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years now. The Lasagna and Chicken Parm Fettucine Alfredo are my 2 go-to dishes. So, I'm in there for lunch, and I noticed the cooks were cutting and grinding up this Giant Wheel of Parmigian Cheese, Had to be like 60 or 70 lbs. I come to find out from my server that this is the main ingredient in both of my favorite dishes. This place is definetly authentic and not processed at all unlike most places nowadays. They aren't always perfect but, I got mad respect for family-run stores that stay true to old-school cooking. The Giant Slice is exactly that... Giant! The Crust handle is pretty big but the crust of the pizza is thin. I dip my crust in ranch and it serves me well as a snack later. I go on Tuesdays for their discounted Pizza Special when I want Pizza chillin in the fridge for the week. Love this place and the waitresses are pretty sweet too ;) read more

I have been a customer since my college days at OCC... long time ago! I felt compelled to tell people how wonderful the food is here at Pizza D. When dining in the server immediately brings a salad with their homemade Italian dressing. The Best EVER! Low calorie too. But now let's add some garlic bread...Even better Garlic Cheese Bread. Great combination. Spaghetti and meatballs a classic. My favorite. Brings a smile to my face all the time. You can order ahead and pick up the food to take away. Or eat in and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere. Phil is a nice owner/manager. He is always making sure the food is perfect and the customers are happy. Try the Eggplant Parma with Pasta Marinara. This place is great! I'm not sure what another reviewer was talking about with an awkward waiter cause our service was exceptional, and the waiter that we had was very personable and friendly. He was quick to recommend his favorite dish, the chicken parmesan, with charm. We ended up getting a few giant slices of pizza and salads. Pizza was delicious and there was enough left for my dinner later :). I actually ended up misplacing my cell phone while I was there. The waiter took down my home number and told me he would call if he found it. They did end up finding it and I got a nice friendly call to come get it. So nice. Just finished eating at Pizza D'Oro- the server was very nice and when we asked if they had alfredo sauce for our daughter's spaghetti she said, "yes". She didn't mention an extra charge. We get the bill and it's $2.95 extra making our kids spaghetti $9. I asked her about it and she said, "that's what it costs." And I told her you should probably let people know there is a substitute fee. That's a lot of money. I hope next time shZsswwe does. I feel ripped off and frustrated. She was nice but that's a lot of money for a kids meal and you should really tell people when you are going to charge 3/5 the cost of the meal more not wait until after they have finished eating! read more

I've been coming to Pizza D'Oro for over 30 years, and it's still a favorite. They're known for their massive pizza slices, which are as good as they are huge. Good old Pizza of Gold. I've got fond memories of this place. I used to come quite frequently more than ten years ago. It was my great pleasure to see it open, coasting through the pandemic. I ordered their Monday special, a spinach lasagna that came to me sized as what the grocery store would have called "family sized" if I had bought it there, and half again as expensive. Instead of the grocery store's microwave fare, for $8 I get hooked up with a warm freshly baked version, a salad, and garlic bread to boot. I owe the very helpful Nick for suggesting it. This is probably the best pizza place I've ever eaten in Orange County. I hosted my birthday party for work, and I decided to order to pickup a giant pizza from this place. The result was truly satisfactory. The party pizza was absolutely delicious, made to perfection. I had many compliments from my friends for the size and quality of the pizza. I tried the mega slice at Pizza d'Oro and went with the meat lovers, and it ended up being better than I expected. The slice is massive and easily fed three people, but the dough is still thin and crispy, which keeps it from feeling heavy. The ingredients tasted fresh and well balanced, and everything held together surprisingly well for a slice this size. Tried to make a very simple delivery for a 2 topping pizza. Lady put me on hold 4 times, and switched the person helping me 4 times. Very irritating, unprofessional, the lady needs to learn proper customer service or this place is going to shit. She gave me wrong prices both times, and couldnt get my order right. I often get a meat lovers to go (the place is small and I get weird) because the pieces are huge and I'm going to take some home anyway. The extraordinary thing about the Pasta Sisters is that they offer house made pastas, which guarantees a higher price point, but offers unparalleled texture. The spaghetti has a "bite" that you get from a true "al dente" pasta. Their cheese tortellini were incredibly rich and cheesy, but a touch salty. The drawback of this location is that it's a ghost kitchen. You order it online and the order will be ready for you when you come in to pick it up. The location does not have seating, and you eat it at your own convenience. If you live/work locally, then this can be definitely worth checking out. Because I live out of town, I have to enjoy it either in my car, after a long drive home, or at my wife's office; however, I want to enjoy these $20 pastas in a restaurant, with wine and good company. A ghost kitchen is very different than a restaurant experience. I hope they do choose to bring their restaurant to the OC one day.

Also, it's a little confusing when online it says 3.50 a slice, online order says 4.50, inside says 5 dollars and then when you get rung up it says 6.80.
